Abstract

The goal of this study is to uncover: the use of digital platforms in English language instruction for young learners. It's a type of qualitative study aiming at showing the use of digital platforms as a tool for young learners in ELT Learners. Because there is still a scarcity of research on digital platforms in the English language as a foundation for young learners, this study is essential. The following is a summary of the study findings: First, the teacher constantly listens to and observes the pupils, allowing them to check their spoken language, provide immediate or delayed feedback, and encourage active involvement and engagement in the speaking activities. Speaking looks to be the easiest of the four basic language abilities to teach online. The teacher monitors the pupils' spoken language, provides immediate or delayed feedback, and encourages active involvement and engagement with the speaking exercises. Second, Edmodo, SeeSaw, Sway, Class Dojo, and Show My Homework are examples of online learning programs that allow young learners to apply English language learning effectively. Abstract

This research aims at revealing: (1) the important of teaching culture in English language; (2) the important teaching culture for childhood; (3) the teaching English is important for childhood; (4) the teaching English is important in Indonesia; and how the age and duration of education in Indonesia. It is kinds of qualitative research which is aimed at revealing the important of teaching English language for early childhood in Indonesia. There are still lack of research about the important of teaching culture in English language, therefore, this research is significant tobe conducted. The finding of the research can be described as follows: First, cultural learning in the foreign language classroom touches three spheres: empathy and understanding, knowledge, and communicative skill. Second, learners will understand aspects of the foreign culture in the traditions of social anthropology. Third, young children being educated in English that is highlighted in this volume refers to the widespread belief that ‘younger is better’ when it comes to language learning. Fourth, the objective of English language teaching in Indonesia is to equip students with a working knowledge of the lan­guage. The last, in Indonesia the age begin to study in formal education is from the age 7 years old, and the duration is for 12 years.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal: the types of speech acts used by the main character in “Spongebob Squarepants’ the movie and the previous studies in speech act analysis for knowing the way of the directives of speech act appears. It employed descriptive qualitative research in the explaining of speech acts types used by the main character. There is still a lack of research about the analysis of speech act categories in cartoon movie or animation movie, it is substantial to be carried out. The finding of this research is the directives speech act is the most frequently in SpongeBob SquarePants the movie with data 118 or 44,36% from a total of 266 or 100% of the whole data. Then, the similarity data found in the three journals about analysis of speech act with data that the directives speech act is the highest utterance in a cartoon movie.

Abstract

This study aims to reinterpret the epistemology of Hasan Langgulung Islamic education and its application in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a library research, the primary research data are in the form of six writings by Hasan Langgulung. The researcher also presented research data related to learning that had occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic season. The data collection technique is done by documentation. Then the data analysis was done descriptively-analytically. Researchers generalized and critically analyzed the concept of Hasan Langgulung Islamic education from various primary and secondary literatures and then discussed the concept on the actualization of Islamic education during the Covid-19 pandemic season. The results of data analysis, in this case Hasan Langgulung's Islamic educational thought paradigm, were then concluded and became the results of research. The results of the study show that online learning that has occurred during the pandemic so far is still disoriented to the epistemology of Islamic education. Hasan Langgulung offers an epistemological paradigm of Islamic education, namely 1) teachers should formulate online learning aims and goals that are realistic and can be measured through indicators with specified timelines. Aims and learning goals are oriented to three aspects of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor; 2) choosing learning strategies to be more precise with guidance, counseling, and providing incidental student assistance; 3) the learning evaluation system must be realistic and measurable, all of which include cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.

Abstract

Direct and indirect speech acts are the two types of speech acts. This study aims to know how indirect speech acts are employed in the movie "SpongeBob SquarePants." It employs descriptive qualitative research to explain the main character's speech act types. There is currently a scarcity of studies examining speech act types in cartoon or animation films; yet, it is necessary. According to this study, the result of this article is: first, there are seventy-four discussions of indirect speech acts obtained from all characters in the movie SpongeBob SquarePants. Each dialogue in the film SpongeBob SquarePants can be deduced to reveal the meaning of indirect speech acts. Second, The reader can use the domain analysis indirect speech acts summary to help them understand each dialogue in this movie that has a different meaning. This stage permitted the main characters to say literal things to the listener. The main character did not make a difficult-to-understand statement to the listener. This research looks at Yule's theory's utterances of indirect speech activities. As a result, the outcome differed from the prior study, despite the same issue.

Abstract

This research used a qualitative descriptive method with the ABCD (Asset, Based, Community Development) system. The problems present during society will provide lessons and the discovery of new technological things. In the current digital era, people are strongly encouraged to be technology literate. The people of Gasang Village are not very familiar with technology; thus technological development can still be lacking. The purpose of this service research is to provide awareness to the public about technological developments. Education is given, ranging from hardware to social media that is currently circulating. This approach is carried out in stages, starting from computer training, Microsoft word, social media to other accounts. This training uses a one day one theme system. Thus, people can focus on one theme inone day. The results of this study are changes that occur significantly to people who are not familiar with computers atfirst can now apply them. People who initially did not know social media now know it as a technology, using it as a medium of information and marketing. The positive side of this research is the public interest in developing following thetimes.

Abstract

The Community Dedication activity is an activity to help other communities in certain situations without expecting anything in return. This dedication activity is carried out using a participatory action research (PAR) approach in the tourism sector in Goa Gong Pacitan. This activity uses 3 stages in its implementation namely preparation, implementation of activities, and evaluation of activities. The target of this activity is the people around Goa Gong Pacitan who work as tour guides and who have other livelihoods. The aims of this activity is to improve the ability of English speaking for the people around Goa Gong Pacitan, and to provide the motivation and awareness to the people around tourist attractions in learning English. This article is a kind of qualitative describing and explaining descriptively. The result of this activity is the training participants can learn English well, they can understand teaching techniques both in terms of context and vocabulary of English, there is a sense of confidence in communicating using English, the availability of training places, and the availability of a place for coordination/deliberation.

Abstract

The contract used in the bee clanceng partnership is the shirkah contract. The distribution of cultivation profits for the community is Rp. 500,000 per package for 4 months, while PT. MIB benefits from the volume of honey produced by the clanceng bee cultivation that has been cultivated by partners, with no clarity on the volume of the cultivated honey. The aims of this study are: 1) To find out the review of Islamic law on the bee clanceng partnership agreement between the community and PT. MIB, 2) To find out the review of Islamic law on profit sharing in the bee clanceng partnership between the community and PT. MIB, The researcher uses the inductive method, which describes specific empirical facts and then draws generalizations (theoretical explanations). The result of this research is a partnership agreement between the community and PT. MIB uses a shirkah contract, namely shirkah 'inan. The shirkah contract is valid and in accordance with Islamic law because it has fulfilled the pillars and conditions of shirkah. Then the profit sharing in the bee clanceng partnership between the community and PT. MIB is legal and in accordance with Islamic law, because the distribution of profits is proportional according to the capital issued and based on an agreement. Akad yang digunakan dalam kerjasama kemitraan lebah klanceng adalah akad shirkah. Pembagian keuntungan budidaya bagi masyarakat Bali sebagai mitra sebesar Rp 500.000 per paket selama 4 bulan, sedangkan PT. MIB mendapatkan keuntungan volume madu hasil budidaya lebah klanceng yang telah dibudidaya oleh mitra, dengan tidak ada kejelasan besarnya volume madu hasil budidaya tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk mengetahui tinjauan hukum Islam terhadap akad kerjasama kemitraan lebah klanceng antara masyarakat Bali sebagai mitra dengan PT. MIB, 2) Untuk mengetahui tinjauan hukum Islam terhadap pembagian keuntungan dalam kerjasama kemitraan lebah klanceng antara masyarakat Bali sebagai mitra dengan PT. MIB, Peneliti menggunakan metode induktif yaitu memaparkan fakta-fakta empirik yang bersifat khusus kemudian ditarik generalisasi yang bersifat umum (penjelasan teoritis). Hasil penelitian ini adalah akad kerjasama kemitraan lebah klanceng antara masyarakat Bali sebagai mitra dengan PT. MIB menggunakan akad shirkah, yaitu shirkah ‘inan. Akad shirkah tersebut sah dan sesuai dengan hukum Islam karena telah memenuhi rukun dan syarat shirkah. Kemudian pembagian keuntungan dalam kerjasama kemitraan lebah klanceng antara masyarakat Bali sebagai mitra dengan PT. MIB adalah sah dan sesuai hukum Islam, karena pembagian keuntungan proporsional sesuai dengan modal yang dikeluarkan dan berdasarkan kesepakatan.

Abstract

Buying and selling is the most important aspect of muamalah in social life. The practice of buying and selling food and drinks at Pancer Door Beach, many vendors do not list prices on their food menus and there are several vendors who distinguish prices from local tourists and out-of-towners. Sellers give higher prices to out-of-town tourists. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of buying and selling without the inclusion of prices and pricing for local and out-of-town tourists in the tourist attractions of Pancer Door Pacitan Beach in terms of Islamic business ethics. This type of research is field research. The research approach used in this research is a case study approach. The results of this study were analyzed by inductive methods. From this research, it can be concluded that the practice of buying and selling without the inclusion of prices in the tourist attractions of Pancer Door Pacitan Beach is in accordance with the principles in Islamic business ethics. Some traders who provide different pricing for local tourists and out-of-town tourists at the tourist attractions of Pancer Door Pacitan Beach have violated the basic principles of Islamic business ethics, namely the principle of equilibrium and the principle of truth (benevolence and honesty). Furthermore, when viewed from Islamic business ethics in pricing, there are several principles that are not in compliance, namely the principle of justice and the prohibition of Tadlis. Jual beli merupakan aspek muamalah yang penting dalam kehidupan sosial. Pada praktik jual beli di Pantai Pancer Door Pacitan, pedagang tidak mencantumkan harga pada menu makanan mereka dan terdapat beberapa pedagang yang membedakan harga antara wisatawan lokal dan wisatawan luar kota. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui praktik jual beli tanpa pencantuman harga dan penetapan harga bagi wisatawan lokal dan luar kota di tempat wisata Pantai Pancer Door Pacitan ditinjau dari etika bisnis Islam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research), yaitu dengan cara melakukan wawancara kepada para pedagang dan pembeli di Pantai Pancer Door Pacitan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ialah pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil dari penelitian ini dianalisis dengan metode induktif. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa praktik jual beli tanpa pencantuman harga di tempat wisata Pantai Pancer Door Pacitan telah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip dalam etika bisnis Islam. Beberapa pedagang yang memberikan penetapan harga berbeda bagi wisatawan lokal dan wisatawan luar kota di tempat wisata Pantai Pancer Door Pacitan telah melanggar prinsip dasar etika bisnis Islam yaitu prinsip keseimbangan (equilibrium) dan prinsip kebenaran (kebajikan dan kejujuran). Selanjutnya, jika dilihat dari etika bisnis Islam dalam penetapan harga, terdapat beberapa prinsip yang belum sesuai yaitu prinsip keadilan dan larangan Tadlis.

Abstract

This research aims at revealing: the characteristic of the learning style for EFL; the advantages of the learning style for EFL; the innovation of the learning style for EFL. It is a kind of descriptive qualitative research aimed at revealing the linguistics learning style as an innovation for the English Foreign language. Linguistics learning research is still insufficient as an innovation for EFL; therefore, this research is significant to be conducted. The finding of the research can be described as follows: First, there are nine learning styles, namely; visual learning, auditory numerical, social group, visual numerical, kinesthetics, expressiveness oral, auditory language, social individual and expressiveness written. Second, the beneficial of linguistics learning are improved language skills, better comprehension, increased engagement, flexibility, and better communication skills. Third, the innovations of learning style in EFL include language learning apps, interactive language learning platforms, AI-assisted language learning, social media use, multimedia-based learning, and content-based instruction.
