Abstract

The coastal area of Peh Pulo Beach, located in the Blitar Regency, has a high potential for biodiversity, including macroalgae. This research aims to understand the community structure and diversity of macroalgae at Peh Pulo Beach. The sampling was conducted on August 2023 using the 1 x 1 m quadrant transect method. Macroalgae were collected at three observation stations, with three plots observed at each station. Abiotic environmental parameters measured included temperature, salinity, pH, light intensity, and substrate. The results of macroalgae identification at Peh Pulo Beach reveal 21 species belonging to 16 genera and 14 families. These species were classified into Chlorophyta (9 species), Phaeophyta (4 species), and Rhodophyta (8 species). The Shannon Diversity Index value obtained is 2.84, indicating that the macroalgae diversity along the coast of Peh Pulo falls under the moderate category.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengabdian ini bertujuan (1) memberikan solusi atas permasalahan yang dihadapi UMKM Rengginang dan Kelompok Tani Padi Organik, terutama dalam segi pemasarannya, (2) meningkatkan omset pemasaran melalui media sosial dan kemasan yang lebih menarik dengan pembaruan label brand, (3) memberikan wawasan kepada pemilik UMKM agar memahami pentingnya pembukuan (laporan keuangan) bagi usahanya, (4) memberikan wawasan kepada pemilik usaha tentang hukum jual beli secara syariah, (5) membantu pemilik UMKM dan Kelompok Tani Padi Organik agar mampu membuat laporan keuangan sederhana dan penghitungan HPP. Peserta dari kegiatan ini adalah pemilik UMKM Rengginang dan perwakilan dari Kelompok Tani Padi Organik Dusun Randucanan, Kelurahan Tonoboyo, Kecamatan Bandongan, Kabupaten Magelang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini menyesuaikan kondisi new normal di masa pandemik Covid 19 yaitu melalui penyuluhan dan sosialisasi kepada para pemilik UMKM Rengginang dan Kelompok Tani Padi Organik tentang semua materi kegiatan, diskusi interaktif antara pemateri dengan peserta, serta praktik dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah terlaksananya semua proker sesuai dengan tujuan awal kegiatan. Kata kunci: branding, UMKM, Rengginang, pertanian padi organik

Abstract

The phenomenon of sexual violence is increasingly prevalent and constitutes a serious issue in various countries. Sexual violence can affect both women and men, irrespective of age, and may occur in schools, communities, or public spaces. Each year, the incidence of sexual violence among adolescents continues to rise. The escalating cases of sexual harassment among adolescents each year are influenced by several factors, one of which is the inadequate knowledge and attitudes of adolescents. Therefore, it is essential to provide sexual health education to adolescents as a preventive measure against sexual violence. The method employed in this community engagement activity involves interactive participation accompanied by case-based discussions, question-and-answer sessions, as well as discussions conducted in the form of Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and educational sessions. As part of the evaluation process, pre-tests and post-tests related to the educational material will be administered to all participants. The outcomes of this activity indicate that participants have gained benefits, including additional knowledge and understanding regarding sexual violence and its prevention. Thus, aligning with the objective of the activity, it aims to empower the community, especially adolescents, in efforts to prevent sexual violence in their surrounding environment.

Abstract

The objective of this community service is to improve the knowledge and skills of health cadres on preventing sexual violence against children. The method of implementing this service uses Focus Group Discussion (FGD) targeting mothers of cadres in Plumbon Village, Temon District, Kulon Progo. The evaluation instrument for this service uses pre-test and post-test questionnaires which are then analyzed using percentage techniques. The results of the pre-test showed that 76% were able to answer all questions correctly. After providing material and FGD on the concept and prevention of sexual violence against children, the results of the post-test of community service participants who answered correctly increased by 12% or to 88% of participants with correct answers. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in the knowledge of mothers of health cadres in Plumbon Village about preventing sexual violence against children, as one of the provisions for carrying out health promotion.
