Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegiatan motivasi belajar, minat terhadap matematika, serta pengembangan bakat anak-anak di desa Timbang Lawan sebagai bentuk tugas dari pengabdian Masyarakat. Kegiatan ini menganalisis motivasi, minat, dan bakat anak-anak Desa Timbang Lawan melalui kegiatan lomba cerdas cermat dan surah pendek dalam kegiatan Pendidikan Matematika Satu Kompetensi Anak (PEMSAKA). Pendidikan Matematika Satu Kompetensi Anak (PEMSAKA) adalah kegiatan perlombaan surah pendek kelas 1-6 SD dan cerdas cermat dari kelas VII-IX SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survei dan observasi terhadap partisipasi lomba cerdas cermat dan hapalan surah pendek. (Komponen ini tidak disebutkan secara eksplisit dalam kalimat yang diberikan, mungkin perlu ditambahkan kalimat tentang teknik analisis data jika diperlukan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya minat yang cukup tinggi pada kompetensi hapalan surah pendek yaitu berjumlah 44 anak. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan potensi positif dari pendekatan PEMSAKA dalam mengembangkan potensi mereka.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine: 1) Implementation of role playing in class V of SD Al-Ittihadiyah, 2) speaking skills of class V students of SD Al-Ittihadiya, 3) the influence of role playing on the speaking skills of class V students of SD Al-Ittihadiyah. The method in this research uses quantitative research, the type of research used is quasi-experimental. The population at this time is 38 people, all of them are class V students at Al-Ittihadiyah Elementary School for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sampling technique used in this research is total sampling. The research instruments and tools used to collect data in this research are observation. The data analysis techniques used are Descriptive Statistical Data Analysis and Inferential Statistical Data Analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that 1) The speaking skills of fifth grade students at Al-Ittihadiyah Elementary School showed that the average speaking skills of students in the control class who did not receive treatment received a score of 65.26, while those who received treatment using Role Playing in the experimental class received a score of 76. .58, 2) The application of role playing in Class V of Al-Ittihadiyah Elementary School shows an increase according to the results of data analysis in the average level of students' speaking skills after implementing Role 76.58. This average value shows that the students' speaking ability after implementing role playing is higher than the average value of students' speaking ability before being given treatment. 3) The effect of role playing on the speaking skills of fifth grade students at SD Al-Ittihadiyah is 65.26 with a standard deviation of 10.603. This means that there is an increase in the average student's speaking ability. The average value before being given treatment was 56.84, with a standard deviation of 13.664, and the value after being given treatment was 76.58 and a standard deviation of 6.882. Finally, based on the results of the independent t test, the Sig (2 tail) value was 0.000 < 0.005. Accepted, this means that there is an influence between the role playing learning model and students' speaking skills in Indonesian language learning at SD Al-Itiihadiyah T.A 2023/2024.

Abstract

Technology, especially gadgets, has evolved rapidly and become an integral part of our everyday life. The widespread use of gadgets, especially among children, brings significant positive and negative impacts. This research aims to socialize the impact of gadget use on children in the Timbang Lawan Village, Langkat Regency. This socialization program is designed toprovide information to the community about the effects of gadget use, both positive and negative, as well as ways to overcome these negative impacts. both positive and negative, as well as ways to overcome these negative impacts. Methods The research method used was descriptive observational, which involved data collection, classification, analysis, and report generation. Results socialization showed that excessive use of gadgets can result in negative impacts such as addiction, decreased social skills,as well as interference in learning. Conversely, positive impacts include ease of communication, increased creativity, and faster access to information. faster access to information. Through this socialization program, it is hoped that the community, especially parents, can better understand and manage the use of gadgets in children.parents, can better understand and manage the use of gadgets in their children their children. Recommendations include time restrictions on gadget use and stricter supervision to prevent negative impacts and utilize the positive benefits of this technology the positive benefits of this technology.

Abstract

This research aims to develop students' creativity through bracelet-making exercises that are integrated into mathematics learning which is useful for increasing students' understanding of geometric concepts and patterns. This is a form of skills activity so that students are free to be creative so they are interested in learning mathematics. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach where students are given the freedom to design and make bracelets according to their creative ideas. The participants in this research were 9 junior high school students in Timbang Lawan Village. Students are taught how to make bracelets using direct mathematical concepts in determining the pattern, shape and length of rope used. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation of students' work from bracelet making training. The research results show that bracelet makers can integrate in increasing students' understanding of geometric concepts and mathematical patterns. Apart from that, with bracelet training students become motivated and interested in learning mathematics

Abstract

Education and culture are habits that are interconnected with human life. In education, culture can be used as a medium of learning both in schools and in culture itself. North Sumatra has various unique ethnicities, one of which is the Toba Batak which must be preserved and passed down from generation to generation. One of the Toba Batak cultures is the Taganing , a traditional musical instrument consisting of five drums with different heights and diameters that produce different tones and are played by two players. The purpose of this study is to explore what mathematical concepts exist in the Taganing  musical instrument so that it can be implemented in learning mathematics.This research uses qualitative with ethnography methods with research instruments in the from of observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Taganing  musical instrument contains the concept of geometry and integral calculus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal secara sistematis dengan menggunakan metode ekspositori pada pokok bahasan Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel (SPLTV) dikelas XII-IPA-3 MAS YMPI Tanjungbalai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis naturaliistik, dengan metode pengumpulan data yang didapatkan dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah  1) Subjek penelitian tinggi ada 10 siswa yang persentasinya 31,25%; (2) Subjek penelitian sedang ada 17 siswa yang persentasinya 53,125%; (3) Subjek penelitian rendah ada 5 siswa yang persentasinya 15,625% hanya mampu menyelesaikan soal secara sistematis.   ABSTRACT        This study aims to determine the ability of students of solve problems systematically using the exspository method on the subject of the three variable linear equation system (SPLTV) class XII-IPA-3 MAS YMPI Tanjungbalai. This study uses a naturalistic type of qualitative method, with data collection methods obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation, the results of this study are; (1) the subject of high research there is 10 students whose percentage 31,25%; (2) the subject of medium research is 17 students whose percentage is 53,125%; (3) the subject of low research there are 5 students whose  percentage is 15,625% only able to solve problems systematically.

Abstract

Biology teachers have not made regional potential a source of learning. The natural environment around the school is used to support teacher explanations that do not create exploratory. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the integrated module of the local potential of South Tapanuli for the biodiversity of the Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) plant. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method referring to the 4-D development model developed by Thiagarajan. The small group trial subjects consisted of 14 students of class X MIA-1. The results of the development module research show validity values of 87% and 95% by teaching module and material experts, 87% and 83% practicality values by biology teachers and students, while effectiveness based on individual mastery of student learning outcomes achieves classical mastery of  85% . The overall results meet the valid, practical and effective categories, so that the development module deserves to be a teaching material in learning activities about andaliman plants.ABSTRAK: Guru biologi belum menjadikan potensi daerah sebagai sumber belajar. Lingkungan alam sekitar sekolah dimanfaatkan sebatas mendukung penjelasan guru yang tidak menciptakan eksploratif. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan modul terintegrasi potensi lokal Tapanuli Selatan keanekaragaman hayati tumbuhan andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC). Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) mengacu model pengembangan 4-D dikembangkan Thiagarajan. Subjek uji coba kelompok kecil terdiri 14 peserta didik kelas X MIA-1. Hasil penelitian modul pengembangan menunjukkan nilai kevalidan 87% dan 95% oleh ahli modul ajar dan materi, nilai kepraktisan 87% dan 83% oleh guru biologi dan peserta didik, sementara keefektifan berdasarkan ketuntasan individual dari hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 85%. Keseluruhan hasil memenuhi kategori valid, praktis dan efektif, sehingga modul pengembangan layak menjadi bahan ajar didalam kegiatan pembelajaran mengenai keragaman tumbuhan andaliman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi matematika siswa kelas X SMKN 1 Aek Nabara Barumun melalui model Project-Based Learning (PjBL). Menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest, intervensi dilakukan selama empat pertemuan pada semester genap 2024/2025 dengan 16 siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan skor pretest ke posttest, dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,57 (kategori sedang). Temuan ini menunjukkan efektivitas PjBL dalam mendorong pembelajaran aktif dan pemecahan masalah, serta layak dipertimbangkan sebagai alternatif pendekatan oleh guru matematika di SMK. This study aims to improve the mathematical literacy of tenth-grade students at SMKN 1 Aek Nabara Barumun through the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. Using a one-group pretest-posttest design, the intervention was conducted over four meetings in the even semester of 2024/2025 with 16 students. The analysis showed a significant increase in pretest-posttest scores, with an average N-Gain of 0.57 (moderate category). These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of PjBL in encouraging active learning and problem-solving, and are worthy of consideration as an alternative approach for mathematics teachers in vocational high schools.

Abstract

Spatial visualization ability is very important in learning geometry of solid shapes because it allows students to imagine, manipulate, and represent three-dimensional objects, but many students still have difficulty in imagining the shape of solid shapes in mathematics learning due to the lack of learning media based on mathematical spatial visualization. This research aims To examine the impact of Augmented Reality (AR) media on spatial visualization of students' mathematical spatial visualization abilities. The study was conducted at Mts Darul Ulum Budi Agung Medan with a quantitative approach and one group pretest - posttest design. Class samples were randomly selected, namely class VIII-2, totaling 32 learners. The instruments used were test and student questionnaires response questionnaires. Data were analyzed through normality tests, homogeneity, N - Gain, and paired sample t - test. The results of the study showed that the average student score increased from 42.91 to 75.19. The t test showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the use of AR has a significant effect on students' spatial visualization b most students experienced an increase in the moderate category. A total of 91% of students also responded positively to AR-based learning. Thus, AR media has proven to be an effective learning alternative for improving mathematical spatial visualization skills in geometric geometry.

Abstract

Praktikum merupakan komponen esensial dalam pembelajaran sains, khususnya biologi, yang pelaksanaannya sangat bergantung pada tersedianya fasilitas laboratorium yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui kondisi laboratorium biologi dalam mendukung pelaksanaan kegiatan praktikum dalam pembelajaran biologi kelas X MAN Binjai, dan mengetahui pelaksanaan kegiatan praktikum dalam pembelajaran biologi kelas X MAN Binjai. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dan pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dalam analisisnya menggunakan teori intektif, keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik pengumpulan data. hasil penelitian yang diperoleh ketersediaan sarana pendidikan yang terdapat di laboratorium biologi di MAN Binjai. Berdasarkan tabel interval persentase sarana dan prasarana yang ada tergolong cukup. Kondisi Kelayakan ruang laboratorium biologi di MAN Binjai berdasarkan tabel interval persentase tergolong layak dengan adanya beberapa alat dan bahan yang tersedia diruang Laboratorium yang dalam kondisi bagus dan lengkap.
