Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs and the handling of room linen at a five-star hotel located in Nusa Dua area, Bali, Indonesia, in the context of CHSE (cleanliness, health, safety, and environment sustainability). Research methods: The method used in this research is a qualitative method using descriptive data both in writing and orally from respondents through field observations, interviews, and documentation. Results and discussion: The housekeeping department's linen management system at the hotel has not met linen management standards. The availability of existing Linen with a theoretical method of at least 3 par stocks was found to be lacking in the number of linen and the way the linen was handled was still not in accordance with existing procedures. Implication: Handling of room linen needs to be improved to get optimal results and it is necessary to increase the number of linens so that hotel operations can run more effectively and efficiently and do not force linen that is no longer suitable for use to be reused. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of excellent service by butler on guest satisfaction at Tanadewa Villas & Spa. This research used a quantitative method. Data were collected by questionnaire were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The collecting of data was an observation, distributed the questionnaire, and interviewing the assistant front office manager. The population in this research was the number of guests who stayed at Tanadewa Villas & Spa for six months from October 2020 to April 2021. The total of samples of this research was 30 respondents. The results of this research 30 respondents stated excellent service by butler has a significant effect and has a positive direction towards guest satisfaction. The Pearson Correlation test results between the excellent service and guest satisfaction variable (Y), which are 0.662, show that the correlation between excellent service and guest satisfaction is high. Determination Coefficient Analysis shows that excellent service has 43.9% in explaining the variance of guest satisfaction, while the remaining 56.1% is from other factors not in this research. All the indicators have shown numbers above four of the Likert Scale. It means excellent service is still needed to optimize to make guest satisfaction such as teaching English of serving guests, providing directions on how to use the facilities in the villa, for example operating coffee machine or EDC machine, and carrying out guidance also socialization periodically focuses on excellent service procedures to butler employees.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of digital marketing applied by The Westin Resort & Spa, Ubud and the efforts made to increase room occupancy through digital marketing. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The analytical technique used in this study is descriptive qualitative analysis used to describe the information obtained through interviews from the sales & marketing party and relate it to the theories that support the discussion related to the dimensions and indicators of digital marketing conducted by The Westin Resort & Spa, Ubud. The results show that the application of digital marketing at The Westin Resort & Spa, Ubud is divided into four digital marketing dimensions, namely websites, online travel agents, social media, and Marriott Bonvoy. Besides, efforts are being made to increase room occupancy, namely, increasing brand awareness on social media by implementing a give away program every month.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to determine the implementation of the marketing to the sales of meeting room in The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa. The problem outlined in this research is what strategy to do by the sales & marketing in increasing meeting room sales at The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa. Research methods: This research was conducted on the sales & marketing parties that is sales & marketing managers and sales executives at The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa. Analysis of the data used a qualitative descriptive analysis that elaborates information from the interviews and links with theories that support the discussion related to the marketing mix conducted by The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa. Results and discussion: The results obtained are the marketing mix strategy carried out at The Jayakarta Lombok Beach Resort & Spa, especially in the meeting section, which is quite good, but has a lack of promotion. The strategy implemented to increase sales are also quite effective. Implication: The development that can be done is to increase online and offline promotions and also keep communication between the sales team and consumers. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the implementation of standard operating procedures applied by food and beverage service employees and the managements to improve food and beverage service. Research methods: This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis technique, which systematically describes the data obtained during the study starting from interviews, observations, questionnaires, literature studies, and quantitative descriptive analysis using a 5-level Likert scale. Data were obtained by distributing questionnaires on the implementation of standard operating procedure of food and beverage service to 9 respondents in the food and beverage service department. Results and discussion: From 13 standard operating procedures there are 11 standard operating procedures that have been implemented optimally, and 2 of standard operating procedures which is not maximum implementated yet such as selling by recommendation with a value of 3.81 and serving food and beverage with a value 4.19, as well as several points in standard operating procedures for seat the guest and menu presentation with a value of below 4.11. Implication: Conducting training, improving and maintaining the application of standard operating procedures, improving supervision and communication, and conducting evaluations to improve the services provided to guests need to do better. Abstract

This study examines the analysis of room service quality in increasing guest satisfaction during the covid-19 pandemic at Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate & Spa. This study aims to determine whether the dimensions of service quality namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy affect guest satisfaction at Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate & Spa. This study uses a five-dimensional analysis of service quality in the servqual (service quality) model. The population of this study is guests who stay and have experienced the quality of room service as many as 55 respondents with the method of determining the sample, namely accidental sampling. The data collected was analyzed using a questionnaire and then analyzed using the Servqual Test which describes the gap (gap) in the quality of service expected (expectations) and reality (perceptions) received by guests staying at Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate & Spa. Furthermore, it is analyzed using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) which is presented in a Cartesian diagram. The results of the Servqual analysis show that there are more positive gaps than gaps with negative values. Based on the results of the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) in the Cartesian diagram, it shows that the quality of room service services has 2 indicators in quadrant A, which means that indicators in this quadrant need to be prioritized because they are considered important by guests, namely the indicator of the accuracy of room service in serving food and drinks on the attribute (Q5), on the indicator in serving food and drinks to the estate a maximum of only 2 room service staff on the attribute (Q8 ). In addition, the results of the study show that the dominant room service quality is in quadrant B, which means that the room service at Kayumanis Jimbaran Private Estate & Spa is in a satisfactory category and is necessary to maintain its performance.
