Abstract

This study investigates the trust gap between international e-commerce platforms and local customers. retailing. A questionnaire was developed and distributed online using a non-probability judgment sample of international e-commerce platform users with the age above 18 in Surabaya, East Java. Data were analyzed using partial least squares (PLS) regression method on SmartPLS software. These research findings reveal perceived security and privacy concerns influence customer trust and loyalty in the context of international e-commerce platforms. Moreover, customer trust acts as a mediating factor between perceived security, privacy concern, and customer loyalty, highlighting its crucial role in fostering positive customer relationships. These results contribute to a deeper understanding of consumer behavior within the Indonesian e-commerce landscape. By identifying and addressing the specific concerns surrounding privacy and security, international e-commerce platforms can attract more Indonesian customers who might otherwise be hesitant to engage with them.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the significance of university accelerators (UAs) in Indonesia by examining neoteric global best practices for aligning university entrepreneurship strategic intent. We introduce an iterative aspect and emerging investigation into multi-method research, which includes a quantitative examination of Indonesian UAs and analyses of entrepreneurial strategic objectives and narratives based on best practice accelerator applications. Our findings demonstrate the scarce allocation of UAs in Indonesia and the lack of alignment with the strategic intent of universities. Additionally, we found no evidence of entrepreneurship education (EE) integration in Indonesia, indicating the successful outcomes mostly present from the self-effort of students' nascent startups rather than educational impacts. Collaborative and engagement aspects of UAs in broader entrepreneurial ecosystems may deliver a better platform for societal upliftment within an Indonesian context.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Indonesia’s music scene has created challenges related to unfair royalty distribution and limited intellectual property protection. This study investigates how intellectual property and value creation influence the career sustainability of musicians, with collaboration as the mediating factor. A quantitative approach was applied, using a structured questionnaire distributed to 110 musicians across major cities such as Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya, resulting in 102 valid responses. The questionnaire aims to measure the perceptions of intellectual property management, value creation, and long-term career sustainability. Findings reveal that Value Creation’s impact on Career Sustainability is fully mediated by Collaboration. Collaboration itself has a significant positive effect on Career Sustainability. Conversely, Intellectual Property was found to have no significant impact on either collaboration or career sustainability, which may be due to inefficient royalty systems in Indonesia. These results highlight that collaboration is the critical mechanism transforming an artist’s value into long-term viability, supporting the Service-Dominant Logic framework. Future research should utilize larger samples and explore additional factors like digital platform policies.
