Abstract

The agricultural sector in Indonesia faces serious challenges regarding the low interest and participation of the younger generation. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive systematic literature review to identify the key determinants or factors influencing farming motivation among Indonesian youth. This qualitative research employed a systematic and structured literature review approach by conducting an in-depth search through reputable journal databases. The review findings reveal negative perceptions of farming as a profession, low income and welfare among farmers, and inadequate infrastructure and institutional support are significant barriers to attracting youth interest. Thematic analysis identified 16 key factors motivating Indonesian youth to engage in farming: government support, creativity, family support, technology, social environment, mindset, training, extension services, digital communication, digital education, environmental awareness, formal education, cosmopolitanism, infrastructure availability, adoption and innovation, and community involvement. The policy implications emphasize strengthening technology-based training programs and financial incentives to address these challenges.

The results showed that first, capital had a positive and significant effect on the income of salt farmers, where the value of twas calculated > ttable (2.227 > 1.662). Second, labor has a positive and significant effect on the income of salt farmersbecause the value of tis calculated > ttable (2.148 > 1.662). Third, land area has apositive and significant effect on the income of salt farmers, because the value oftis calculated > ttable (2.161 > 1.662). Fourth, the selling price has a positive andsignificant effect on the income of salt farmers because the value of tis calculated >ttable (2,930 > 1,662). The five capital, labor, land area, and selling pricesimultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the income of saltfarmers, with Fcalculated values > Ftables (35,723 > 2.48). The six selling prices are themost dominant factors affecting the income of salt farmers in Wewaria Village,Wewaria District, Ende Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to find out (1) Does the rice production process affect the price stability of Soa rice in Soa District (2) Does the demand for rice from outside the region affect the price stability of Soa rice (3) Does the availability of Bulog rice entering Soa District affect rice price stability Soa (4) Does riceproduction, demand for rice from outside the region and the availability of rice from the National Logistics Agency affect the price stability of Soa's rice. This research includes causality research using a quantitative approach. The sample in this study were 98 farmers. Data was collected by using a questionnaire that has been tested with classical assumptions. Multiple linear regression is used to test the research hypothesis. The results of this research show that, (1) There is a significant effect of rice production on the price stability of Soa rice with a value of 17.071 (2) There is a significant effect of demand for rice from outside the region on the price stability of Soa rice with a value of 3.493 (3) There is no significant effect on the price stability of Soa rice with a value of -11.323. Thevariables of rice production, demand for rice from outside the region and availability of rice from the National Logistics Agency significantly affect the pricestability variable of Soa rice with a significant value of 0.000<0.05.
