Abstract

Abstract His research aims to analyze the elements of comparative literature in two poems, namely “Lehotmu” by Ariani Rosa Lesmana and “Berdiri Aku” by Amir Hamzah. The main problem studied is how to analyze the elements of comparative literature in the two poems. The method used in this research is literature study, with the main sources coming from the book Sampian (Anthology of Lampung-Indonesian Bilingual Poetry) and Poetry Theory and Appreciation. The poem “Lehotmu” describes a profound experience related to death and loss, where the main character reflects feelings of fear and despair after experiencing loss. The setting, such as twilight and night, adds to the emotional atmosphere of the poem. In contrast, the poem “Berdiri Aku” emphasizes the spiritual and emotional journey of a person trying to find the meaning of life in the midst of loneliness and uncertainty. Nature serves as a symbol of the character's feelings in the face of doubt and anxiety, but it also shows the determination to continue searching for meaning even though they have not yet found the answer. Both poems provide a deep reflection on the human condition that often faces darkness before reaching enlightenment.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis unsur-unsur sastra bandingan pada dua puisi, yaitu “Lehotmu” karya Ariani Rosa Lesmana dan “Berdiri Aku” karya Amir Hamzah. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji adalah bagaimana menganalisis unsur sastra bandingan dalam kedua puisi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka, dengan sumber utama berasal dari buku Sampian (Antologi Puisi Dwibahasa Lampung-Indonesia) dan Teori dan Apresiasi Puisi. Puisi "Lehotmu" menggambarkan pengalaman mendalam terkait dengan kematian dan kehilangan, di mana tokoh utama merefleksikan perasaan takut dan putus asa setelah mengalami kehilangan. Latar yang digambarkan, seperti waktu senja dan malam, menambah atmosfer emosional puisi ini. Sebaliknya, puisi "Berdiri Aku" lebih menonjolkan perjalanan rohani dan emosional seseorang yang berusaha menemukan makna hidup di tengah kesendirian dan ketidakpastian. Alam berfungsi sebagai simbol perasaan tokoh dalam menghadapi keraguan dan kegelisahan, namun juga menunjukkan tekad untuk terus mencari makna meski belum menemukan jawabannya. Kedua puisi ini memberikan refleksi mendalam tentang kondisi manusia yang sering kali menghadapi kegelapan sebelum mencapai pencerahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menjelaskan fungsi ragam kata sapaan atau panggilan dalam hubungan kekerabatan terutama dalam keluarga yang ada di masyarakat Lampung baik dialek A/O. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis data menggunakan analisis kontrastif yaitu membandingkan persamaan dan perbedaan dua bahasa yang sama. Data diperoleh dari hasil pengisian kuisioner yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Bahasa Lampung di Universitas Lampung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan banyaknya keberagaman kata sapaan yang ada ditengah masyarakat Lampung dari berbagai daerah. Variasi kata sapaan ini mengalami keseimbangan dalam Bahasa Lampung baik dari dialek A maupun dialek O. This study aims to analyze and explain the function of various greeting words or calls in kinship relations, especially in families in the Lampung community, both in the A/O dialect. This study uses a quantitative approach method. Data analysis used contrastive analysis, namely comparing the similarities and differences of the two languages. The data were obtained from the results of filling out a questionnaire conducted by students of the Lampung Language Education study program at the University of Lampung. The results of the study show that there is a great diversity of greeting words in the midst of the people of Lampung from various regions. This variation of greeting words experiences a balance in the Lampung language, both from dialect A and dialect O.

Abstract

Abstract In West Lampung regency, some teachers have not yet implemented active learning in their classrooms. It was due to their lack of understanding towards various models of active learning. Thus, to improve teachers’ professionals in the field of teaching, a training of active learning was much needed. The results of the training showed that the average score of their pre-test was 59, and that of post-test was 87 that it can be said that there was an increase after the training. In addition, the results of microteaching assessment resulted in an average score of 3.47 which fell into good category. It means that teachers have achieved good understanding on active learning and the capability to implement it. The teachers participating in the training were also satisfied with the service of the committee and speakers. Therefore, it can be concluded that the training on active learning succeeded in achieving the expected goals. Key words: active learning, teachers, training Di Kabupaten Lampung Barat, sebagian guru belum menerapkan pembelajaran aktif. Hal ini disebabkan ketidaktahuan mereka terhadap berbagai model pembelajaran aktif. Dengan demikian, untuk meningkatkan profesional guru dibidang pengajaran, guru-guru memerlukan pelatihan pembelajaran aktif. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil pretes dan postes diperoleh skor rata-rata yaitu 59 dan 87 sehingga dapat dikatakan kemampuan peserta pelatihan terlihat meningkat. Hasil penilaian saat microteaching diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 3,47 dengan kategori baik. Hal ini berarti bahwa guru telah memiliki pemahaman tentang pembelajaran aktif dan mampu menerapkan pembelajaran aktif. Selain itu, peserta pelatihan merasa puas terhadap pelayanan panitia dan strategi/bimbingan fasilitator. Dengan demikian, Pelatihan ini berhasil mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan secara maksimal. Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of social criticism found in the novel Si Putih by Tere Liye by examining their relation to the author’s background, the social realities of society, and readers’ responses. This research is grounded in the theory of literary sociology, which emphasizes that literary works reflect social realities creatively expressed through the author’s experiences and imagination. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a sociological approach to literature. Data were collected through an intensive reading of the novel, analysis of the author’s social background, and interpretation of the social meanings embedded in the narrative. The findings reveal that Si Putih contains various forms of social criticism, including critiques of social inequality, humanity, and moral disparity in society. These criticisms are conveyed through the depiction of character conflicts, settings, and dialogues that hold reflective meaning. The novelty of this research lies in its comprehensive analysis that connects the intrinsic elements of the novel with the author’s social dimension and readers’ perspectives, thereby reinforcing the understanding that literature is not merely an aesthetic product but also a medium of social communication that fosters awareness and critical sensitivity toward societal realities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the forms and functions of comparative figurative language used in Boy Candra’s novel Kisah yang Pilu untuk Kita yang Ragu (A Sorrowful Story for Our Doubt). The focus of this research is to reveal how comparative figurative language strengthens emotional expression, enhances linguistic beauty, and builds aesthetic meaning in modern literary works. This study employs a qualitative approach using content analysis combined with a phenomenological perspective. Data were collected through intensive reading and note-taking of quotations containing comparative figurative language within the novel’s text. The results show that there are seven types of comparative figurative language found in the novel, namely simile, metaphor, personification, antithesis, tautology, and anticipation, with a total of 19 data instances. The most dominant types are simile, metaphor, and personification, which are used to depict the characters’ emotional states and to create poetic beauty in the narrative. Meanwhile, figures such as antithesis, tautology, and anticipation serve to reinforce meaning and provide stylistic variation in the author’s expression. The novelty of this research lies in combining stylistic analysis with a phenomenological approach to uncover the emotional and psychological meanings behind the use of comparative figurative language in contemporary Indonesian popular fiction.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms and types of spelling and punctuation errors found in the academic papers of students in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program at the University of Lampung. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with documentation as the data collection method. The data consisted of spelling and punctuation errors identified in 20 first-semester students’ papers during the 2024/2025 academic year. The findings revealed 125 errors, consisting of errors in the use of capital letters (30.4%), prepositions “di” and “ke” (21.6%), compound word writing (9.6%), commas (23.2%), and periods and quotation marks (15.2%). The most frequent errors were in the use of capital letters and commas. These mistakes occurred mainly due to students’ lack of understanding of the Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI), the influence of informal writing habits, and limited experience in editing academic texts. The results of this study are expected to serve as evaluation material for improving students’ academic writing skills, particularly in mastering the correct use of spelling and punctuation in higher education contexts.
