Abstract

Most orientalists are not only convinced that a thorough going adoption of western culture by the Muslim world is inevitable, but many of them are actively participating in the process of westernization to hasten its completion as a speedily as possible.|Paradoxically it seems to some of them, that the more they study Islam, the more fervently the felt compelled to prove that is was malicius and distorted.Based on the statements made by orientalists about Islamic teaching it is clear that they can not refute of Islam. The favourable theme of all their writing is that Islam must be abandoned on the premise that anything, revealed fourteen centuries ago is necessarily irrelevant for the technological civilization of today.Therefore they conclude, that if the Qur’an and Sunnah and the sacred Syariah that derives from these sources can not the be reconciled with the current fashionable philiosophies, then Islam must be false.Key word: Orientalist, Islam, Religion, Civilization.

Abstract

Artikel ini ditulis untuk menguraikan masalah budaya literasi yang rendah di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar di Indonesia dan menjelaskan berbagai kegiatan membaca untuk memicu budaya literasi. Berdasarkan data penelitian yang dirilis oleh Progress in International Reading Literacy (PIRLS) pada tahun 2011 menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman membaca siswa Indonesia berada di bawah rata-rata internasional. Indonesia berada di posisi 45 dari 48 negara dengan skor 428 poin dari skor rata-rata 500 poin. Selain itu, data dari Program Penilaian Siswa Internasional (PISA) pada 2012 menunjukkan bahwa siswa Indonesia adalah yang terburuk kedua dari 65 negara yang berpartisipasi dengan skor 396 poin (skor rata-rata adalah 496). Data dari PIRLS dan PISA menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi dan pemahaman membaca siswa Indonesia dinilai buruk. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan mengembangkan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah untuk mendukung Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan No. 23 tahun 2015 tentang Karakter yang salah satunya membahas kegiatan membaca buku non-pelajaran selama 15 menit sebelum belajar. Dan yang paling penting dalam kegiatan ini, siswa akan dikenalkan oleh berbagai kegiatan membaca seperti membaca dengan suara keras, membaca diam berkelanjutan, membaca terbimbing, membaca bersama, dan membaca mandiri.

Abstract

This study is intended to understand how parents of early childhood instill clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) in them in urban village areas during the COVID-19 pandemic. By allowing conditions to run naturally, the use of a qualitative methodology with an ethnographic pattern is the choice in this research method. All informants are devoted to families who have children aged 5 years who experience school from home by collecting data through observation, documentation and in-depth interviews. As a result, PHBS education has been carried out by parents according to the abilities and conditions of each family. These limitations cause certain behaviors that occur during a pandemic that do not run optimally, such as the use of masks. Suggestions for further studies are research on PHBS education which involves three educational environments for early childhood, both during the pandemic or normal.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat dan kemampuan literasi dasar peserta didik Indonesia mendorong Pemerintah Republik Indonesia untuk lebih menggiatkan program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah yang tidak hanya melibatkan seluruh warga sekolah namun juga peran dari akademisi dan orang tua murid. Gerakan Literasi Sekolah yang ditetapkan dalam Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 23 Tahun 2015 tetang Penumbuhan Budi Pekerti bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan minat membaca peserta didik dan meningkatkan keterampilan menulis agar pengetahuan dapat dikuasai secara lebih baik oleh peserta didik. Dalam pelaksanaannya, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan participatory action research sebagai pendekatan penelitian dengan tahapan kegiatan yang terdiri dari observasi lapangan, focus group discussion, modeling, dan penciptaan lingkungan sekolah yang literat. Studi ini menghasilkan beberapa poin utama yaitu (1) penyusunan program-program literasi dasar yang dapat diterapkan langsung di sekolah. Program-program tersebut terbagi menjadi program rutin harian, mingguan, bulanan, dan semesteran; (2) percontohan kegiatan literasi dasar yang melibatkan akademisi dan orang tua; serta (3) penciptaan lingkungan sekolah yang literat.

Abstract

In relation with the school, it may be stressed that effectiveness of the school is in its specified procedure to develop a consistent organization based on the need which centralized on the school principal managerial process. Because, the system, management, as well as school procedure and its organizational development lay on the hand of the principal, who is then considered as the evaluation standard. This managerial process can be judged from the function of organizational structure optimally, teachers performance, professional school personnel, the development of learning activity, the implementation of rule and regulation, academic development and the achievement of education aim. Due to this reason, the more skillful is the principal, teacher, and other school personnel the more effective and efficient the whole school system and its management. The main requirement of organizational effectiveness is by understanding various methods how an organization is effective. In this case the manager of an organization is not only to identify various dimensions of critical institutional performance, but to mobile the organization towards effectiveness. The effective school models consist of three levels; school, class, and the student background.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of transformational leadership style, employee job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in pesantren (Islamic boarding school) and assess the role of job satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between transformational leadership style and organizational commitment. The study used the quantitative method by surveying 556 educators from each Darunnajah Islamic boarding school branch in Indonesia. Information examination utilized numerous relapse investigation to test the inquire about theory and progressive relapse examination to test the intervention speculation. The study found that transformational authority, representative work fulfillment, and organizational commitment at Islamic boarding schools were more than direct. In expansion, representative work fulfillment can intercede between transformational authority and organizational commitment.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to find out The Factors of Students’ Difficulties in Speaking English Faced by non-English Department Students. This research was conducted with qualitative research, with using survey method. This research used google form as questionnaire to gain the data. The respondents of this research are the 100 students of non-English department at Faculty of Education UIN SMH Banten. The result of this research showed that there were many factors that students have in English speaking difficulties. They are factor anxiety does not master the vocabulary has value 59% agreed, then factor shy of being an intention has value 57% agreed, then factor lack of confident has value 54% agreed, factor lack of self motivation has value 54% agreed, factor of environmental effect has value 54% agreed, factor there is no preparation has value 53% agreed, then factor fear of wrong pronouncing has value 52% agreed, factor of fear of use the wrong words has value 49% agreed, factor affective of students has value 48% agreed, and the last factor anxiety of being bullied has value 44% agreed. It means students have some factors in speaking problem that should be take more attention.

Abstract

Abu Hanifah meletakkan Hadis Mutawatir sebagai bentuk tertinggi yang diyakini kebenarannya tanpa sikap suspektif dalam melihat validitas sebuah hadis. Hal ini tentu dipengaruhi oleh jumlah kuantitas (alkamm) perawi yang banyak, serta ke-‘adalah-annya, disertai tempat kejadian turunnya (makanu al-wurud) hadis tersebut. Sehingga sesuatu yang telah ditetapkan secara mutawatir akan menghasilkan ilmu yang pasti (alilmu al-dlaruriy) sebagaimana seseorang melihat kejadian secara langsung (al-mu’ayanah). Jadi jelas bahwa Abu Hanifah dan pengikutnya melihat bahwa hadis mutawatir menghasilkan informasi yang tidak diragukan lagi. Namun, di sisi lain Abu Hanifah mengatakan bahwa mutawatir tersebut tidak mutlak dibatasi dengan jumlah kuantitas yang banyak, akan tetapi sebuah hadis akan mencapai derajat mutawatir, apabila hadis tersebut telah disepakati dan diterima secara aklamatif oleh seluruh umat tentang keabsahannya. Tulisan singkat ini mencoba melihat sisi kecil dari pemikiran Abu Hanifah tentang hadis.

Abstract

This study was conducted to design an applicable pattern of English learning activities for students at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten and explore their perspective on the urgency of mastering English after entering the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 including outlining the driving factors and barriers to learn English. This study used an ethnography approach by collecting data through various instruments such as in-depth interviews, direct observation, and focus group discussions. The findings of this study reveal that the pattern of English learning activities can be applied in Ma'had Al-Jami'ah Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten, among others: (1) the application of the English Zone in the dormitory environment; (2) holding an English speech; (3) making a vocabulary board; (4) holding morning conversations and (5) forming a language driving team. Furthermore, the perspective of the students towards learning English is very good because they believe that English is very useful to support their studies, especially in doing assignments, for interview purposes when applying for jobs and for continuing studies abroad. Some factors that encourage students to learn English include: (1) The high motivation of the students in participating in English training; (2) The students' awareness of the importance of mastering English; (3) There is support from the chairman of Ma'had Al-Jami'ah Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten; (4) the availability of representative classrooms for learning English; and (5) the desire of musyrif (caretaker) and santri to improve foreign language skills, both Arabic and English. This is shown by forming a language driving team and programs to improve foreign language skills.

Abstract

Achievement motivation is the urge to do the best possible, in order to obtain the best results in accordance with the expected conditions, by trying hard, and outperforming others based on certain quality standards. The low development of achievement motivation of children aged 4-6 years and the application of the role playing method still uses limited media. The purpose of this study is to describe how to provide achievement motivation, and how children respond when giving achievement motivation. The methodology used in this study is a literature study that describes how the role-playing method is used in TK ABA Buntu Dea, Tongko Village. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of research through the role playing method can affect achievement motivation in early childhood because with achievement motivation children can get to know each other's characteristics better, and increase self-confidence. Thus the role playing method is considered effective as a learning method to increase achievement motivation in early childhood.
