Abstract

Hedging through derivative instruments is a risk management action to reduce losses due to foreign exchange exposure. This research aims to examine the influence of liquidity, company size, leverage, growth opportunity, financial distress, profitability on company hedging decisions and to find out whether hedging activities have an effect on company value. The research sample consisted of 39 companies in the basic industry and chemical goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018. This research uses two stages of testing to analyze the data. The first stage uses logistic regression to test decision determinants hedging company. The second stage uses testing Independent Sample T-Test to determine the impact of activities hedging on company value and knowing which groups of companies have superior value. The research results show that leverage, company size and growth opportunity have a positive effect on the probability of a company's hedging decisions. Meanwhile, financial distress, liquidity and profitability have a negative effect on the probability of a company's hedging decisions. There is a significant difference in the average value between companies that carry out hedging activities and companies that do not carry out hedging activities.

Abstract

Generasi Z ialah generasi yang lahir antara tahun 1995-2010 semakin menjadi fokus utama dalam konteks investasi karena dominansi mereka di pasar modal. Riset ini terbentuk dengan tujuan agar menganalisis bagaimana faktor demografis, literasi keuangan, dan tingkat pemahaman teknologi mempengaruhi preferensi jenis investasi generasi Z. Generasi Z yang dikenal juga dengan iGen terbiasa hidup dengan gadget dan internet. Keterbiasaan tersebut menyebabkan generasi Z dapat dengan mudah mencari informasi dan mempelajari bagaimana investasi bekerja. Penelitian ini memakai metode survei digunakan untuk mengelompokkan data dari sampel yang mewakili generasi Z. Hasil analisis regresi logistik memperlihatkan jika faktor demografis, literasi keuangan, dan kecakapan teknologi memiliki pengaruhnya masing-masing terhadap tiap-tiap jenis investasi. Penelitian ini mengelompokkan berbagai investasi menjadi tiga kelompok yakni investasi surat berharga, investasi riil, dan investasi lainnya. Analisis regresi logistik metode logit memperlihatkan jika variabel penghasilan, literasi keuangan, serta kecakapan teknologi berdampak dengan signifikan pada preferensi jenis investasi surat berharga. Akan tetapi pada preferensi jenis investasi riil dan investasi lainnya, masing-masing dipengaruhi secaea signifikan oleh satu variabel saja. Prefrensi jenis investasi riil dipengaruhi oleh penghasilan sedangkan jenis investasi lainnya dipengaruhi oleh kecakapan teknologi. Hasil analisis regresi logistik metode logit menunjukkan bahwa preferensi jenis investasi yang dipilih oleh generasi Z dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang berbeda-beda.Kata Kunci: Preferensi, Generasi Z, Investasi, LogitJEL Klasifikasi: D11, J13, E22, C25

Abstract

Background: Food security and economic empowerment of rural communities are significant challenges for sustainable development. Using the yard for vegetable cultivation can increase food availability, reduce dependence on external food sources, and improve improve the economic welfare of the community. Objective: This community service activity aims to enhance participants' skills in food production, family income, and both technical (hard skills) and social (soft skills) aspects through the use of house yards. Method: The study was conducted in Sumber Village, Sumber District, Rembang Regency, in August 2024 - February 2025. The methods include socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and pre-tests and post-tests of program participants. Results: The program's implementation showed a 40% increase in vegetable production over six months. The pre-test and post-test evaluations indicated a significant increase in hard skills (cultivation techniques and use of organic fertilizers) by 35%, and soft skills (communication and cooperation) by 30%. Conclusion: This program has proven to improve food security, family income, and community skills. This model can be replicated in other areas with a similar approach, and advanced strategies for program sustainability are needed.

Abstract

Farmers of food crops, especially rice commodities in Rembang Regency, face the main challenge, namely the increase in the cost of agricultural production. Even though the productivity of rice commodities has increased, the high production costs have affected the income levels of farmers and have had an impact on the welfare of farmers. The stagnation of Farmers' Terms of Trade (NTP) for food crops from 2014-2019 amid an increase in the productivity of food crop agriculture shows that agricultural production costs are the main obstacle to increasing farmer welfare. Efforts to reduce agricultural production costs are a factor in encouraging the welfare of farmers in Rembang Regency. The self-sufficiency of organic fertilizers is one of the cost-efficiency solutions for producing agrarian food crops. Increasing the independence capacity of farmers' fertilizers, especially organic fertilizers, is a strategy to reduce agricultural production costs. There are at least four steps taken to increase farmer capacity: 1) preparation of a theoretical framework for change; 2) counseling on the benefits of organic fertilizers; 3) organic fertilizer production training, and 4) evaluation. The results of this capacity building show an increase in farmers' knowledge and skills in producing organic fertilizer in Japeledok Village, Rembang Regency. Farmers then use knowledge and skills to increase the cost efficiency of fertilizer production to improve the welfare of farmers.

Abstract

This service aims to improve the quality of human resources and the performance of KSPPS BMT KUBE COLOMADU SEJAHTERA employees by providing excellent service training to KSPPS BMT KUBE COLOMADU SEJAHTERA employees. The focus of the training is on efforts to improve employee performance so that they can provide an understanding of the importance of excellent service in internal and external interactions, Equip participants with an understanding of consumers as individuals who have many desires and perceptions about a product (service), Equip participants with the ability to provide excellent service, and be able to know the factors that influence consumer satisfaction and various methods of measuring excellent service. Enabling participants to be able to handle various complaints, access to financial institutions, both conventional and sharia, as well as financial technology. The approach used in this activity is to carry out training activities for employees to significantly improve the performance of BMT employees. It is hoped that the results of the training will be able to motivate and provide the skills needed for employees to provide excellent service to their customers. Excellent service to BMT customers will increase customer comfort and loyalty to BMT Kube Colomadu
