Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model type "make a match" on science learning outcomes. The research employs a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects consist of all eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Keruak, totaling 56 students. Data was collected using test methods with multiple-choice questions to measure learning outcomes. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the Independent Sample T-Test. The effectiveness of the "make a match" learning model and the conventional learning model aided by PowerPoint media in improving student learning outcomes was analyzed using the N-Gain test. The results show that the "make a match" learning model has a significant effect on science learning outcomes, specifically on the human circulatory system material. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test results indicate a significance value of 0,259. This value is greater than 0.05, indicating that the post-test score distribution is normal. The homogeneity test of learning outcome scores yielded a value of 0.884 (>0.05), indicating that the data is homogeneous. The N-Gain test results show that the experimental class scored 0.43 and the control class scored 0.29, indicating that the "make a match" learning model has a moderate level of effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes on the human circulatory system material. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experimental dengan bentuk non-equivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Keruak sebanyak 56 siswa. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui metode tes dengan instrumen soal pilihan ganda untuk mengukur hasil belajar. Uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-Test. Efektivitas model pembelajaran make a match dan model pembelajaran konvensional yang dibantu oleh media PowerPoint dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dianalisis dengan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran make a match memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada materi sistem peredaran darah manusia. Hasil uji normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,259. Nilai tersebut lebih besar dari 0,05, menunjukkan bahwa distribusi nilai post-test hasil belajar siswa adalah normal. Hasil uji homogenitas nilai hasil belajar yaitu sebesar 0,884 (>0,05) yang menunjukan bahwa data besifat homogen. Uji N-Gain diperoleh hasil untuk kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,43 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,29 hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa model pembelajaran make a match memiliki tingkat efektivitas sedang dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem peredaran darah manusia.

Abstract

Penggunaan media berbasis aplikasi seluler menggunakan adobe animate telah membawa revolusi dalam pembelajaran biologi, menghadirkan peluang dan manfaat yang tak terhitung jumlahnya bagi siswa dan guru. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian menggunakan model ADDIE oleh Dick and Carry (1996). Model ADDIE terdiri dari beberapa tahap yang dilakukan yaitu tahap analisis (Analysis), perancangan (Design), pengembangan (Development), implementasi (Implementation) dan evaluasi (Evaluation). Hasil penelitian ini meliputi pengembangan media pembelajaran yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil analisis diketahui 87% guru melakukan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan LKPD. Peneliti menentukan tema, materi isi, bahan evaluasi dan game yang sesuai dengan silabus. Materi yang dipilih yaitu mengenai ekosistem. Hasil validasi mengindikasikan bahwa media ini memperoleh tingkat kelayakan yang signifikan. Menurut penilaian dari ahli media, pengembangan media ini dinilai sangat layak dengan skor 3,7 dari total skor 4. Selain itu, hasil validasi dari ahli materi juga mengonfirmasi kelayakan multimedia ini dengan skor 3 dari total skor 4. Hasil penilaian dari pengguna produk (siswa) menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif berbasis Android ini meraih skor yang sangat tinggi, yaitu 3,7 dari skor maksimal 4. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan aplikasi ini akan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih mendalam dan efektif, serta membantu siswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep biologi dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

Education to children is very instrumental for understanding future learning, to be able to provide understanding for children must be with a fun learning model with games. This study aims to see the effectiveness of educational games Word Scavenger Hunt on the understanding of English learning at Bunga Bangsa Kindergarten, this study uses quasi-experimental methodology with a control group and an experimental group. In addition, the students of Bunga Bangsa Kindergarten gave positive reactions to the educational games used in learning because the educational games made the learning process more fun, exciting and by incorporating educational games into English learning is an effective approach to improve learning outcomes. In addition, the media can stimulate students' desire and enthusiasm to learn English in the long run. So in conclusion, Bunga Bangsa Kindergarten students understand English learning more easily through the Word Scavenger Hunt educational game than only with the Conventional learning model.

Abstract

The Laboratory for Biology serves an effective educational facility for learning of biology, where biology subject often requires lab activity. Proper management of the laboratory is a crucial aspect for the smooth execution of practical activites by both teachers and students. The objective of this research was to determine the biology laboratory management system at SMA Negeri 3 Mataram. This research is descriptive research using observation and interview methods. The data collected in two types, the primary data is observation questionnaire and the result of interview to the biology teachers of SMAN 3 Mataram. The development of the observation questionnaire for the standardization of biology laboratory refers to the National Education Minister’s Regulation No. 24 of 2007, and the laboratory management standards refer to The Minister of Education and Culture’s Regulation No.8 of 2018. There are ten aspects considered in the observation of the biology laboratory, including the evaluation of the laboratory space, the completeness of laboratory equipment and materials, and the cleanliness of the laboratory. Based on the research found that eight aspects were categorized as very good, and two aspect were categorized as as good. The completeness of laboratory tools and materials, as well as laboratory safety, need to be improved.

Abstract

Birds are wildlife found in many habitats, such as beaches, swamps, mountains and lowlands. This study aims to determine the bird community in the Bagek Kembar essential ecosystem area, West Lombok Regency.  Data was collected using the transect path method (exploration) and point count. The research was conducted in November-December. Observation was carried out in the morning at 06.30- 09.30 and in the afternoon at 15.30-18.30 Central Indonesian Time (GMT +8) with representatives of 3 observation locations: pond area, rehabilitation mangrove and natural mangrove. Data collection was done using transect lines (cruising) and point count. The results showed that there were 57 bird species from 23 families categorised into migratory birds (18 species), protected birds (12 species), and six species of birds categorised as NT (Near Threatened). The results of the abundance index of species included in the highest dominant category are Cerulean Kingfisher (Alcedo coerulescens), with a value of 7.87% found in the pond area. Furthermore, the results of the diversity index of the three areas have a high diversity index value of 3.900.

Abstract

The use of mangrove fruits, especially the Rhizophora mucronata type, into mangrove coffee is an innovation carried out to increase the economic value of the mangrove ecosystem in Empol Preparatory Village, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency. The purpose of this activity is to educate the local community about the importance of maintaining the mangrove ecosystem while utilizing mangrove fruits that have not been used optimally so far. This program is carried out through socialization and practice of mangrove coffee making that involves the community directly. As a result, the community gained new knowledge and skills in processing mangrove fruits into products of economic value, which is expected to increase their income. This mangrove coffee product has the potential to be mass-produced and become a superior product in the region.

Abstract

Setiap peserta didik memiliki gaya belajar yang berbeda sehingga dalam menerima, mengolah dan mengingat informasi yang diperoleh juga berbeda-beda. Proses penyerapan informasi oleh individu/peserta didik menurut tingkatannya terdiri dari cepat, sedang, dan lambat. Setiap peserta didik sering kali harus menempuh cara yang berbeda-beda agar informasi dapat diterima dengan baik dan masuk ke dalam ingatan dalam jangka yang panjang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa SMP dan SMA di kota mataram dan sampelnya terdiri dari SMP (SMP 6, SMP 13, SMP 12, SMP 8, SMP12, SMP 3, SMP 18), dan SMA (SMA 5, SMA 6, SMA 4, SMA 10, SMA 3). Instrumen penelitian dalam bentuk kuisioner digunakan untuk mengukur gaya belajar visual, auditori, kinestetik, gaya belajar, dan audio visual siswa. Kuisioner gaya belajar pada penelitian ini berisikan 20 pertanyaan dengan empat alternatif jawaban. Berikut pedoman kunci jawaban kuisioner gaya belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh kecenderungan gaya belajar siswa SMP tertinggi pada gaya belajar audio visual yaitu sebesar 48,33% dan terendah gaya belajar kinestetik sebesar 2.36 %. Pada siswa SMA juga menunjukkan hasil yang sama didominansi oleh gaya belajar audio visual sebasar sebesar 51.52% dan terendah yaitu gaya belajar kinestetik sebesar 3.37%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning model that is valid and practical and suits the visual learning styles of students in biology subjects. This research is expected to improve student learning outcomes through technology that is more interactive and interesting. This research uses a development research method based on the Plomp model, which consists of four phases, namely initial investigation, design, realization, evaluation, and revision. The research subjects were grade X students at one of the schools in Mataram city.  The instruments used include expert validation questionnaires and user practicality assessments analyzed using a Likert scale of 1-4. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively. The learning model developed includes four stages, namely screening, visualization, elaboration, and reflection abbreviated as SrVER. The results showed that based on the validity test by validators, the learning model based on visual learning styles with the help of AR obtained an average percentage of 88.2% in the valid category. Based on the teacher's response, a rate of 95% was obtained with a very feasible category, and based on student responses, a percentage of 81.78% was obtained with a very feasible category. Using the SrVER model with the help of AR media in this model makes learning more interesting and helps students understand the material better.

Abstract

Waste is one of the most pressing environmental problems and challenges in Indonesia, especially in coastal areas. One of the areas facing this problem is Cemare Hamlet in South Lembar Village, West Lombok Regency. Waste Education can be one of the solutions in dealing with waste problems from an early age. Waste education activities carried out by Thematic KKN students aim to instill awareness about environmental cleanliness from an early age to children. The methods used in the waste management education program in Cemare Hamlet include field observations, preparation and implementation of waste education activities, management of plastic waste and clean up activities. The results of waste education activities in Cemare Coastal Literacy show a positive impact on children's understanding and concern for the environment. Waste management activities produce creative waste magazines with the theme of protecting the environment that utilize waste such as bottle caps, plastic food wrappers, used paper, and straws. Waste education activities in Cemare Hamlet succeeded in raising children's awareness about the importance of keeping the environment clean. This initiative shows that structured environmental education can have a positive impact in shaping environmental care behavior from an early age.

Abstract

The Bagek Kembar Mangrove Ecosystem, located in Persiapan Empol Village, holds considerable potential for ecotourism development and sustainable natural resource utilization. This mangrove forest not only functions as a natural coastal barrier but also presents economic opportunities, such as the production of herbal coffee from mangrove fruits. This community service initiative aimed to increase public awareness of the various benefits of mangroves, with a particular focus on utilizing Rhizophora sp. fruits for coffee production. The program was implemented in two phases: an educational session on mangrove coffee and a hands-on training workshop on its production. The results demonstrated an improvement in the community's understanding of how mangrove fruits can be transformed into innovative products. During the second phase, participants received practical training on the step-by-step process of making mangrove coffee, which was produced in two variants: 100% pure mangrove coffee powder and a blended variant with additional ingredients.
