Abstract

Natural transition from labour to post-partum can cause lifestyle changes that impact the mother’s physiological and psychological effects. Physical changes that include changes in diet, fluids, elimination, and obesity, as well as psychological changes such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, and depression, are common during this transitional period. For this reason, we use the Healthy Lifestyle approach to provide an overview and information regarding the mother’s adaptation during the post-partum period. Healthy lifestyle emphasizes that lifestyle has an important impact on health in which there is a role for individuals and others. In this case, nurses have a vital role in identifying and conducting analysis to determine the proper lifestyle and make mothers adapt easily during the transitional period from childbirth to post-partum. The main point of the intervention is to improve the well-being of the mother and baby.

Abstract

Background: The crisis situation during the pandemic has placed an additional burden on nurses regarding the care of COVID-19 patients. This is due to several factors, including the emergence of new disease variants, a rising number of cases, limited access to information, and nurses’ psychological well-being. Therefore, it is crucial for nurses to receive support from their leadership to effectively fulfill their roles Objective: To determine the key dimensions of compassionate leadership that have the greatest impact on the emotional well-being of nurses working in COVID-19 treatment rooms.  Methods: The research design employs a cross-sectional approach, with the independent variable being compassionate leadership, encompassing dimensions such as presence, understanding, empathy, and assistance. The dependent variable under examination is emotional healing. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling, resulting in a sample size of 200 respondents across eight treatment rooms. Results: Nurses, on the whole, perceived their leaders’ implementation of compassionate leadership during the pandemic crisis as fairly adequate, scoring it at 66.4%. As for emotional healing among nurses, it was, on average, fulfilled to a level of 68.3%. Importantly, there exists a significant relationship between compassionate leadership and emotional healing. Specifically, among the dimensions of compassionate leadership, the one that had the most substantial influence on nurses’ emotional healing was “helping”. Conclusion: Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic crisis in hospitals, nurses required assistance and support from leadership to navigate the challenges encountered while actively providing care. These interventions could be effectively incorporated by nurses to complement ongoing tuberculosis treatment therapies.

Abstract

The background of this research is that, in the process of learning mathematics, students are less able to develop learning materials, this is evidenced by the average daily test scores of students who are still below the KKM value (75), one way to overcome this problem is to apply the super brain learning model. This study aims to determine that the application of the super brain learning model has a positive effect on mathematics learning outcomes for class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Parepare students. This type of research is an experimental research type. The variables studied in this study were the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Parepare as the dependent variable and the application of the super brain learning model as the independent variable. The population of this study were all students of class VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Parepare for the academic year 2022/2023 which consisted of 10 (ten) classes. Sampling using probability sampling or cluster random sampling, from 10 classes one class was taken by lottery, namely class VIII.4 as the experimental class. The instrument used in this study was a validated learning outcome test. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, the average value of mathematics learning outcomes before applying the super brain learning model is 48.71 and the average value of mathematics learning outcomes after applying the super brain learning model is 77.10. Based on Inferential statistical analysis using One Sample t-test, a significant value was obtained, p = 0.000 = 0.05, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that the application of the super brain learning model has a positive effect on mathematics learning outcomes in class VIII UPTD SMPN 1 Parepare students.

Abstract

The most common complication that occurs in developing countries is bleeding, namely 27% (UNICEF, 2015). One of the post partum psychological disorders in Indonesia is baby blues, which is 0.9% (Banlitbangkes, 2018). One of the factors causing low utilization of maternal health services is cultural practices (WHO, 2018). The proportion of people who use traditional health services in Indonesia is 31.4% and those who use traditional health workers is 98.5%. The proportion of utilization of traditional health services in South Sumatra is 29.5%. Then the number of people who ask for help from traditional health workers is very high, namely 98.4% (Banlitbangkes, 2018). Community service results show that the health cadre team experienced increased knowledge and post partum maternal health problems were controlled by all mothers in Pegayut Village who gave birth and made postpartum visits to the village midwife. It can be concluded that the Saving Mothers Giving Life (SMGL) approach is a multi-system approach to reduce maternal mortality and to prevent post-partum maternal complications in Pegayut village.
