Abstract

ABSTRACT Textile industry waste decreased environment quality, including agricultural soils. This condition caused the degradationof rice field irrigated with contaminated waste water. Rice fields in Rancaekek contaminated with heavy metals such as Pb. The presence of heavy metals in soil can be transported to plant tissues, especially when heavy metals are present in soluble form. The aim of the research was to study the effect of various UZAAKH fertilizer dosage on pH, total-N, and availability of Pb in paddy field contaminated with textile waste. The experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of Agriculture Faculty, Universitas Padjadjaran from December 2017 to March 2018. The experiment was arranged in Randomized Block Design (RBD), consisted of six treatments with five replicates: 150 ; 200 ; 250 ; 300 ; 350 kg ha-1 UZAAKH and 250 kg ha-1 Urea. Data were analyzed with analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukey’s test at 95% confidence level. The result showed significant effect towards pH and availability of Pb in soil, but negligible differences in Ntotal.Keywords : contaminant soils, heavy metal, textile waste, UZAAKH fertilizer

Abstract

One of the factors inhibiting the production of rice is not efficient in the use of fertilizers and ecosystem damage due to toxic hazardous materials such as heavy metals. the use of Urea, Zeolite, Activated charcoal based fertilizer is expected to increase the production of paddy rice crops in rice fields heavy metal contaminated. The experiment was conducted in the village of the District Linggar Rancaekek Regency  Bandung from  March  to  May  2015.  The experiment  used  randomized  block design with four single  treatment,  that  is  A =  urea  : zeolite  (95:5),  B  =  urea  : zeolite  : activated charcoal (50:45:5), C = urea : zeolite : activated charcoal (50:25:25), D = urea : zeolite (60:40), each with  five replicates.  Rice  varieties  used are Inpari  30.  The  results  showed  that  administration RS fertilizer formula  is  proven to  reduce  the  solubility  of  approximately  30%  Pb  and increases  the cation exchange capacity  (CEC) of  the soil.  RS fertilizer no  real  effect  on pH and N-Total  soils. Formulation urea : zeolite : activated charcoal (50:25:25) can decrease the solubility of Pb, while the CEC best demonstrated by the increase in formulation urea : zeolite : activated charcoal (50: 45: 5). Key words: heavy metals, RS fertilizer, wetland rice

Abstract

The use of organic materials and minerals as fertilizer needs to be developed in order to increase agricultural productivity, especially in soils marginal that are widely distributed on the Indonesian. This study aims to determine the productivity of soil and corn plants by using various formulations of organo-mineral materials in the Ultisols Jatinangor. The experiment was conducted from April to November 2017 at Ciparanje Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, using a simple randomized block design consisting of 10 treatments and replicated 3 times. The organo-mineral ingredients used consist of a combination of Humic Acid (6; 8; 10 kg/ha); Dolomites (100; 150; 200 kg/ha); Natural Phosphates (250; 300; 350 kg/ha); also Zeolites (150; 200; 250 kg/ha). The results showed that ameliorant combination had significant effects on soil pH, P-available, and Mn Total, also the yield of maize. Dosage of 8 kg/ha of Humid Acids + 200 kg/ha of Dolomites + 350 kg/ha of Natural Phosphates + 250 kg/ha Zeolite, has indicated better result based on variable experiment.Keywords: maize, organo-mineral, Humic acid, dolomite, phosphate, ultisols

Abstract

Kerusakan ekosistem sawah akibat pencemaran limbah industri telah menurunkan produktivitas tanaman.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk pupuk tablet yang berfungsi menyediakan nutrisi bagi tanaman dan juga memiliki kemampuan mengatasi pencemaran di dalam tanah.  Bahan yang dijadikan komposisi formula pupuk tablet adalah urea, zeolit, arang aktif, dan kompos beragen hayati. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan formula pupuk tablet berpengaruh nyata terhadap dinamika beberapa parameter kesuburan tanah dan logam berat.  Formula dari komposisi bahan urea, zeolit, arang aktif, dan kompos beragen hayati memberikan perbaikan nyata terhadap pH, KTK, NH4+, NO3-, dan N-total, serta menurunkan kadar logam berat Cd dan Cr di dalam tanah, jika dibandingkan dengan formula bahan urea dan kompos beragen hayati.  Formula A (60:20:10:10) merupakan pupuk tablet terbaik dalam mempengaruhi nilai pH dan KTK tanah, kandungan N total, NH4+, dan NO3-, serta menurunkan kadar Cd dan Cr di dalam tanah. Kata Kunci: tanah tercemar, pupuk tablet, nitrogen, logam berat,

Abstract

Lead pollution in rice fields in Rancaekek is attributed to the inadequate processing of waste from the textile industry. This phenomenon engenders a decline in soil fertility, thereby posing a threat to both food quality and agricultural sustainability. Employing N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer stands as one of the measures aimed at ameliorating the quality of rice fields afflicted by heavy metal contamination, particularly lead (Pb). This study seeks to elucidate the impact of N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer on various soil parameters, namely pH, NO3 - , soil organic carbon (C-organic), soil Pb solubility, and plant Pb uptake. The research was conducted in Linggar Village, Rancaekek, spanning from December 2019 to April 2020. Utilizing a Randomized Block Design as the experimental setup consisted of eight treatments with four replications, including: a control (0), urea at 250 kg/ha, and varying doses of the fertilizer at 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1250, and 1500 kg/ha. N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer represents a modified form of nitrogen fertilizer comprising urea, zeolite, activated charcoal, and compost enriched with Bacillus subtilis, formulated in a ratio of 60:20:10:10, respectively. The findings indicate that the application of N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer leads to an augmentation in soil NO3 - and C-organic content, while concurrently mitigating the uptake of Pb by plants. Among the treatments, the application of 500 kg/ha of N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer emerges as the most efficacious in enhancing soil NO3 - and C-organic content, as well as diminishing Pb accumulation in plants

Abstract

Lead (Pb) heavy metal pollution on rice fields in Rancaekek is caused by the disposal of textile industry waste which is not perfectly processed. The impact is a decrease in soil fertility which can threaten the food quality and agricultural sustainability. The application of N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer is one of the efforts to improve the quality of rice fields polluted with heavy metals Pb and high Na content. This research aims to find out the effect of N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer on pH, NO3-, Na, C-organic soil, solubility of soil Pb and uptake of plants Pb. The experimental design used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with eight treatments and four replications consisting of: 0 (control); urea 250 kg/ha; and the variation in the dose of fertilizer is 250; 500; 750; 1000; 1250; 1500 kg/ha. N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer is a modification of N fertilizer based on urea, zeolite, activated charcoal and compost enriched with Bacillus subtilis with formulation 60:20:10:10. The results showed that the application of N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer could increase the NO3- and C-organic content of the soil and reduce the Na-dd and Pb uptake of plants. Treatment of 500 kg/ha N Bio-Organomineral fertilizer was the best dose in increasing the NO3- and Corganic content of the soil and reducing Na-dd and Pb uptake of plants
