Abstract

General Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by hyperglycemia. Specific Background: A severe complication of DM is diabetic nephropathy, marked by progressive kidney function decline. Blood sugar and urea levels serve as crucial indicators in diagnosing DM and its complications. Knowledge Gap: Limited comparative studies exist on fasting blood sugar and urea levels between diabetes mellitus patients and diabetic nephropathy patients. Aims: This study aims to compare fasting blood sugar levels and urea levels in diabetes mellitus patients and diabetic nephropathy patients. Results: Conducted from April to June 2024, this quantitative, laboratory experimental study sampled 30 diabetes mellitus patients and 30 diabetic nephropathy patients from RSUD dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo, Mojokerto City. Using the SPSS Mann-Whitney test, the study found significant differences (p=0.000) in fasting blood sugar levels (125.20±20.348 mg/dL vs. 221.07±65.545 mg/dL) and urea levels (13.30±2.059 mg/dL vs. 54.10±26.699 mg/dL) between the two patient groups. Novelty: This study provides novel insights into the metabolic differences between diabetes mellitus and diabetic nephropathy patients, emphasizing the progressive impact of high blood sugar on kidney function. Implications: The findings underscore the importance of early intervention and continuous monitoring of blood sugar and urea levels to prevent or mitigate diabetic nephropathy in DM patients. Metabolic Insights: Provides insights into the metabolic impact of high blood sugar on kidney function in diabetic nephropathy patients. Abstract

This article examines the concept of the “curriculum of love” as a pedagogical paradigm that integrates spiritual and humanistic dimensions in Islamic education through a comparative approach to the thoughts of Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah (Hamka) and Paulo Freire. Hamka views education as a process of developing human nature (fitrah) through moral formation, spiritual strengthening, and the attainment of balance between worldly and hereafter life based on the values of tawhid and modern Sufism, while Freire positions education as a process of humanization and liberation through the development of critical consciousness built upon dialogue and pedagogical relationships grounded in love for humanity. Although emerging from different intellectual traditions, both thinkers share common ground in viewing education as a transformative process aimed at fully humanizing human beings. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research and comparative-hermeneutic analysis through the examination of the major works of both figures and relevant supporting literature. The findings reveal that the synthesis of Hamka’s and Freire’s thoughts produces a conceptual framework of the “curriculum of love” consisting of five main dimensions: tawhid as a spiritual foundation, dialogue as a pedagogical approach, liberation as the orientation of education, morality (akhlak) as a humanistic goal, and learning communities as spaces of social praxis. This concept offers an alternative to educational paradigms that tend to focus merely on cognitive and administrative aspects and is relevant in addressing the challenges of educational secularization, dehumanization caused by technological development, and the moral crisis in contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze teachers’ moral competence in maintaining interaction boundaries with students in the digital era. The development of digital technology had transformed educational interaction patterns from those previously limited to classroom settings into broader communication through social media, instant messaging applications, and online learning platforms. This condition created more flexible communication opportunities, but also presented challenges in maintaining teachers’ professional boundaries. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research method by collecting and analyzing relevant scientific literature. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the concept of teachers’ moral competence, changes in educational interaction patterns, and the challenges of professionalism in the digital era. The results showed that teachers’ moral competence played an important role as the foundation of educational professionalism related to integrity, responsibility, and exemplary conduct. In addition, the development of digital interaction had expanded educational communication spaces, requiring teachers to have stronger moral awareness in maintaining interaction boundaries with students. This study confirmed that strengthening teachers’ moral competence was an important necessity in maintaining the quality of educational relationships in the digital era. Keywords: Teacher professionalism, digital interaction, educational ethics ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kompetensi moral guru dalam menjaga batas interaksi dengan peserta didik di era digital. Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah pola interaksi pendidikan dari yang sebelumnya terbatas pada ruang kelas menjadi lebih luas melalui media sosial, aplikasi pesan instan, dan platform pembelajaran daring. Kondisi ini membuka peluang komunikasi yang lebih fleksibel, tetapi juga menghadirkan tantangan dalam menjaga batas profesional guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode library research melalui pengumpulan dan analisis berbagai literatur ilmiah yang relevan. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi untuk mengidentifikasi konsep kompetensi moral guru, perubahan pola interaksi pendidikan, serta tantangan profesionalisme di era digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi moral guru memiliki peran penting sebagai fondasi profesionalisme pendidikan yang berkaitan dengan integritas, tanggung jawab, dan keteladanan. Selain itu, perkembangan interaksi digital telah memperluas ruang komunikasi pendidikan sehingga menuntut guru memiliki kesadaran moral yang lebih kuat dalam menjaga batas interaksi dengan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penguatan kompetensi moral guru menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam menjaga kualitas hubungan pendidikan di era digital. Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji konsep Kurikulum Merdeka dalam kerangka filsafat pendidikan Islam. Kurikulum Merdeka berorientasi pada pengembangan potensi, bakat, minat, dan keterampilan peserta didik dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dan digitalisasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Dalam penyusunannya, filsafat pendidikan Islam berperan penting dengan menekankan integrasi antara ilmu keislaman dan ilmu umum,penguatan keterampilan hidup, serta pendidikan karakter. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif berbasis studi kepustakaan untuk mengupas karakteristik Kurikulum Merdeka dan pendidikanI slam dari perspektif filsafat pendidikan Islam. Kurikulum Merdeka mencerminkan prinsip-prinsip pendidikan yang selaras dengan ajaran Islam, berfokus pada pembentukan karakter, nilai moral, dan etikaI slam. Integrasi Alquran dan Hadis menjadi elemen utama dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan tujuan pendidikan yang mengutamakan aspek moral, spiritual, dan sosial peserta didik.
