Abstract

Tanaman sawi dipahami memiliki harga ekonomi yang tinggi mengingat sayuran ini merupakan satu diantara komoditas ekspor utama Indonesia. Namun hingga saat ini, produksi sawi belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan pasar dalam dan luar negeri.Sistem hidroponik substrat merupakan metode budidaya tanaman di mana akar tanaman tumbuh pada media porus selain tanah yang dialiri larutan nutrisi sehingga mengharuskan tanaman memperoleh air, nutrisi, dan oksigen secara cukup. Ada beberapa jenis media tanam yang digunakan dalam sistem hidroponik substrat antara lain arang sekam, cocopeat (serbuk serabut kelapa), serbuk gergaji kayu, dan ampas tebu. Media tumbuh yang benar harus memenuhi persyaratan antara lain tidak cepat melapuk, tidak menjadi asal mula penyakit, menciptakan aerasi yang baik, mampu menyimpan air dan zat hara secara baik, mudah didapat dalam jumlah yang diinginkan dan harganya relatif murah seperti arang sekam, cocopeat, serbuk kayu, dan arang sekam. Keberhasilan penelitian ini berdasarkan sifat porus dan aerasi pada media tanam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang pengaruh media pada sistem hidroponik substrat pertumbuhan dan hasil sawi caisim. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Jl. Sepakat 2 Gang Racana Untan Pontianak Kalimantan Barat dan berlangsung pada tanggal 6 September "“ 9 Oktober 2023. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan media floating, Cocopeat, Ampas Tebu, Arang Sekam, dan Serbuk Kayu. Setiap satuan unit percobaan terdiri dari 3 sampel tanaman, sehingga total keseluruhan diperoleh 75 tanaman. Variabel pengamatan yang di periksa dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: jumlah daun (helai), luas daun (cm2), berat segar tanaman (g) dan berat kering tanaman (g). Selain variabel di atas juga dilakukan pengamatan terhadap perihal lingkungan yang meliputi: pH tanah, suhu udara ( °C), kelembaban udara (%) dan curah hujan (mm). Hasil analisis keragaman menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh berbagai jenis media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap luas daun, berat kering tanaman, jumlah daun serta berat segar tanaman. Maka diperoleh bahwa media tanam arang sekam dalam penelitian ini yang paling terbaik pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of chitosan compounds in controlling anthracnose disease (Colletotrichum capsici) on large chili plants (Red pepperL.). The study was conducted in September 2022-January 2023 for 4 months at Jl. Purnajaya 1, Siantan Hilir District, Kota. The study used a Completely Randomized Design with 6 levels of treatment doses, namely 0.05% chitosan, 0.10% chitosan, 0.15% chitosan, 0.20% chitosan, a negative control without treatment, and a positive control in the form of propineb 70% 2 g/l. The variables observed were disease incidence and disease severity after application of various treatment concentration levels. Data analysis used analysis of variance in the Minitab v.19 program. The results showed that the treatment of chitosan compounds on the development of anthracnose disease in the field test had no significant effect on the variables of disease incidence, disease severity, AUDPC calculations and regression. It is suspected that the absence of the effect of chitosan compounds in suppressing the development of anthracnose disease is due to the concentration given being too low so that the chitosan compound does not work effectively in protecting chili fruit

Abstract

Kalimantan Barat memiliki banyak wilayah perairan yang keindahan alamnya masih terjaga salah satunya adalah Air Terjun Empare. Air Terjun Empare merupakan sumber mata air alami yang menyuplai kebutuhan air warga Bungkang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi aspek bifisik Air Terjun Empare sebagai dasar pengembangan ekowisata berkelanjutan dan strategi konservasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung, pengukuran parameter fisik, dan identifikasi flora-fauna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa air terjun empare memiliki karakteristik biofisik yang unik, dengan ketinggian 50m, air yang jernih dan kualitas air yang masih dalam batas baku mutu. Keanekaragaman hayati asli kalimantan yang teridentifikasi sebanyak 5 spesies tumbuhan seperti bunga bangkai (Amorphophallus hewittii), jahe spiral (Costus barbatus), Buce (Bucepalandra sp.), kantong semar (Nepenthes sp.), dan pohon ulin (Eusideroxylon zwageri). Selain itu, juga terdapat 5 spesies tumbuhan asli kalimantan yaitu burung rangkong (Buceros rhinoceros), kubung (Galeopterus variegatus), monyet ekor panjang (Macaca fascicularis), labi-labi (Amyda cartilaginea), dan landak (Hystrix brachyura). Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa air terjun empare memiliki inventaris aspek biofisik baik dan bernilai. Kata Kunci: Air Terjun, Aspek Biofisik, Ekowisata

Abstract

Empare waterfall is a natural tourist destination  in Bungkang Village, Sekayam District, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan. it has many water areas with preserved natural beauty, including Empare Waterfall. Empare Waterfall is a natural spring that supplies the water needs of Bungkang residents. This research aims to determine the value of the ecotourism potential of Empare Waterfall as an ecotourism area using Tourist Attraction Object Analysis (ODTWA) and the Tourism Suitability Index (IKW) as the methods. The research results showed the lowest percentage of feasibility was obtained by the accommodation variable (50%), followed by the accessibility variable (67%), infrastructure & facilities (75%), and attractiveness (83%). The availability of clean water received the highest score (97%). The Tourism Suitability Index assessment result show a relatively high IKW score of 2,7 (very appropriate). A few spesies of wild animals/plants for education, such as the corpse flower or the titan arum flower, the pitcher plant flower, the horn bill, and the flyring lemur. Besides the species, Gawai Nasi Baru is a local culture that attracts tourists, They will support the ecotourism regime. This research develops an attraction distribution map as a recommendation for ecotourism tools.

Abstract

Terung gelatik merupakan salah satu jenis sayuran yang berpotensi dikembangkan di tanah gambut, namun produktivitasnya terkendala oleh tingkat kemasaman tanah yang tinggi. Upaya perbaikan kondisi media tumbuh dapat dilakukan melalui penggunaan varietas unggul dan pemberian amelioran tepung cangkang telur bebek yang kaya CaCO3. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan interaksi terbaik antara varietas terung gelatik dan dosis tepung cangkang telur bebek terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil pada tanah gambut. Metode penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split Plot) dengan dua faktor: varietas (Luna Hijau dan Mungil Ungu) dan dosis tepung cangkang telur bebek (6, 8, dan 10 ton/ha). Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan uji DMRT taraf 5%. Hasil menunjukkan varietas Mungil Ungu dengan dosis 6 ton/ha memberikan pertumbuhan terbaik pada volume akar dan tinggi tanaman. Variabel hasil menunjukkan terjadi interaksi nyata antara varietas Luna Hijau dengan dosis 6 ton/ha (45,71 g/polybag) yang menghasilkan berat buah tertinggi sebesar 33,54 g. Secara keseluruhan, interaksi Luna Hijau pada dosis 6 ton/ha memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik. Hal ini dikarenakan aplikasi tepung cangkang telur bebek memperbaiki sifat kimia tanah melalui peningkatan pH sekaligus menyediakan kalsium (Ca) yang mengoptimalkan pembentukan dinding sel dan pembesaran buah pada Luna Hijau. Dengan demikian, kombinasi tersebut direkomendasikan untuk budidaya optimal di lahan gambut.

Smallholder rubber farmers play a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability of the rubber sector in Indonesia; however, their productivity and management practices remain suboptimal. This study assessed the agronomic practices of 470 smallholder rubber farmers in Sintang District, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, using a descriptive-quantitative approach. Data were collected through structured interviews and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation to examine relationships among human resource capacity, socio-economic conditions, and agronomic performance. The results indicate that the majority of farmers are in the productive age group, have low to moderate education, and rely on rubber farming as their primary livelihood. However, farmers tend to prioritize routine operational tasks, such as tapping and latex collection, while key agronomic practices that require more technical knowledge and capital—such as fertilization, the use of certified planting materials, and pest and disease control—remain under-implemented. Correlations indicate that education and access to extension services are positively correlated with the adoption of better agronomic practices, including the use of certified seeds, recommended plant spacing, and proper fertilization. Social roles and group participation also show significant relationships with collective agronomic behavior. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening farmer capacity and institutional support to promote productive and sustainable rubber cultivation among smallholder farmers in Sintang District, West Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Abstract

Inventory and Analysis of Barriers to Increasing Areca Nut Productivity in Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency. Areca nut productivity in Kubu Raya Regency is relatively low, at around 0.86 tons/ha, compared with the national average of 1.53 tons/ha. This indicates that there are still many problems in areca nut farming in Kubu Raya Regency. Based on this, research is needed to inventory and analyze obstacles to increasing areca nut productivity, with the results informing recommendations for policy interventions in Kubu Raya Regency. The research was conducted in Punggur Besar Village, Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency, and is a descriptive study using a survey method with respondents as research objects. Primary data were collected using a questionnaire to obtain systematic, objective information on farmer characteristics, technical, economic, and external obstacles experienced in running areca nut farming, while secondary data were obtained from relevant agencies and the literature. The results of the study concluded that areca nut farming in Sungai Kakap District, Kubu Raya Regency is still faced with various obstacles, namely: (1) farmers' limited access to information and technology about good and correct areca nut cultivation, (2) farmers can only sell dried areca nuts to collectors at low prices, (3) farmers do not have access to other sources of financing besides their income, and (4) the role of institutions has not been fully felt by farmers, there has been no special guidance and ongoing technical assistance regarding areca nut farming including its financing.

Abstract

Japanese cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. var. Japanese) is a type of vegetable from the Cucurbitaceae family or gourd family. There are several types of cucumbers, one of which is the Japanese cucumber (kyuri), which is longer than regular cucumbers, has a slender fruit shape, soft flesh, smooth skin, and a greener color. The limited agricultural land results in the use of suboptimal land, which poses problems for nutrient availability, such as podsolic reddish-yellow soil (PMK). This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction between humic acid and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of Japanese cucumber plants in Reddish-Yellow Podsolic soil (PMK). The research was conducted in Kasromego Village, Beduai sub-district, Sanggau District, from June to September 2024. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) split plot with 2 factors. The first factor is humic acid, which consists of 2 levels: H0 = without humic acid and H1 = with the addition of humic acid. The second factor is NPK fertilizer, with 3 levels: P1 = 6 g/plant, P2 = 12 g/plant, P3 = 18 g/plant. Research results show a significant interaction between humic acid and NPK fertilizer on fruit weight per plant and fruit length. The best combination is achieved with the application of humic acid and NPK fertilizer at a dose of 12 g/plant, resulting in the highest fruit weight and length.
