Abstract

Abstract: For customers, brand means familiarity and credibility as they get to experience some contacts in their everyday life; therefore, they use the brands as an indicator to try or making decision to buy new product. Consumers especially in developing countries have certain expectations from the brands and tend to rely on brand as indicator to purchase by default. The shoes industry is one of the markets that consumers are facing various choices of international and local brand and these products are seen to be popular for consumers. The aim of this research is to analyze consumer preferences between International over Local brand in Manado measure by durability, country of origin, price, and style. This research is quantitative type of research, which uses primary data obtained through questionnaires and uses independent sample t-test as the analytical tool. The population of this research is peoples in Manado who has experience in Everbest and Buccheri brands, where the sample size is taken from 100 respondents who also has experience with both brands. The result from this research found that there is no significant difference between Everbest and Buccheri brands measured by durability, country of origin, price, and style. Everbest and Bucccheri should more considering on the factors that influence the consumer buying behavior.Keywords: comparative analysis, consumer preferences, shoes, international and local brand, everbest and buccheri.

Abstract

Abstract: This research analyzed by using a multidimensional scaling analysis. To get accurate results from this method that became the goal of the study, researchers analyzed the atribuut perceptual mapping product soy sauce based on the 4 attributes; brand, price, labels and packaging. This study uses comparative quantitative approach, the population of this study are the people who buy and use soy sauce ABC and BANGO. The sample of this research is the 100 respondents with data obtained through questionnaires. The findings of this study indicate that the attribute labels have similarities between ABC and BANGO, but there were no significant effects for consumers because the location between quadrant is still far away and for a better recommendation for any manufacturer of soy sauce to pay more attention to product attributes that already exist in the product, soybean sauce because the product attribute has a huge effect on consumer preference.Keywords: product attribute, consumer preferences, multidimensional scaling

Abstract

Abstract: Organizations have realized that performance of their employees determines the success of the organization. It is including of how the workers act in the organization or manage their behavior. Organizational behavior can help people to investigate the impact that individuals, groups, and structures have on behavior within the organization in order to improve the effectiveness of the organization. It is important for managers to know how to get the best of their workers’ performance through employee commitment. The research aims to analyse commitment of the employees to employment service provider company PT. Intrias Mandiri Sejati as outsourcing employees supplied to business partners. This research is a qualitative research using case study method based on primary data from an in-depth interview of 11 informants as the sample who were chosen by using purposive and snowball sampling technique. This result that was concluded from the three dimensions of employee commitment based on employee mind-set: affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment, shows that the employees are in a good commitment to provider company and business partners. This study suggest the company to maintain its level of attentiveness regarding employee commitment, because commitment is a determinant of the employee performance in the company.Keywords: employee commitment, affective commitment, continuance commitment, normative commitment, employment service provider company.

Abstract

Abstract: In order to make the job running well, every employee must have their own commitment for working on the company. Employee commitment is viewed as being a key prerequisite for the effective execution of projects, operational processes and the successful implementation of organizational change programs. This study is expected to give input to the company especially regarding with the full time and part time employee and how to make them commit with the job and organization. The sample size of this research is 30 employees that currently working in Starbucks Manado Town Square and using T-Test Method. Based on the result of this research, there is significant difference on Employee commitment measured by Motivation, there is significant difference on Employee commitment measured by Responsibility, there is no significant difference on Employee commitment measured by Achievement, there is significant difference on Employee commitment measured by Personal Life. So, based on the findings in this research, there are some recommendations for Starbucks Manado Town Square. Starbucks Manado Town Square should pay attention to all of the employees so they can maintain their commitment.Keywords: employee commitment, human resource management, motivation, responsibility, achievement, personal life, t-test method.

Abstract

Abstract : Herbalife Nutrition through the distributors provided a Nutrition Club that they called a place for breakfast and work out. In Manado, there lots of nutrition Club that has been operated since two years ago. The existence of this club indicates repurchase intention of this particular brand. The object of this study is to define the factors that drive customer intention to purchase Herbalife Shake products in Manado.  This research is categorized an associative study and used quantitative method which utilizes confirmatory factor analysis as the tool of analysis. This study obtains primary data and sample is collected from Herbalife Nutrition Club members in Manado. The research results show that Customer Engagement factor, Product quality, Reference group, reliability, promotional, product packaging, tangibility, individual and psychological factor are the contributing factor in affecting the repurchase intention.Keywords : repurchase intention, customer engagement, product quality, reference group, reliability, promotional, product packaging, tangibility, individual, psychological factors.

Abstract

An organization or company’s best asset is human resource or in this case is employee, because employee performance is related to organization or company’s performance. So, to improve employee performance, company needs people who have expertise and unique capabilities that are in line with company’s visions and missions. The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of leadership style, organizational culture, employee development and training on employee performance in PT. PLN (Persero) Suluttenggo Region, simultaneously and partially. The data in this research is gathered from 100 respondents by using simple random sampling method. Multiple regression analysis is applied in this research. Research result shows that there is significant effect of leadership style, organizational culture, employee development and training on employee performance simultaneously. Moreover, there is negative and no significant effect of leadership style on employee performance partially, and on the contrary, there is positive and significant effect of organizational culture, employee development and training on employee performance partially. PT. PLN (Persero) Suluttenggo Region has to pay attention to the leadership style and maintain the organizational culture, empoloyee development and training. Abstract

The objective of this study is to understand the influence of attitude, value consciousness, social status, perceived price, and past experience toward consumer purchase intention of counterfeit shoes in Manado. The data was collected from 100 respondents that purchase counterfeit shoes and multiple regression analysis was used to test the relationship among variables. The result indicated that the perceived price has significant influence toward consumer purchase intention of counterfeit shoes in Manado. The characteristic of perceived price has substantial positive influence to the consumer purchase intention. The author recommends to shoes producers to pay more attention of the reasons why consumers in Manado consider the price is the main factor that influence the purchasing intention of consumers. Abstract

Abstract: Employee retention is a technique used to retain employees to stay in the company for a certain period. The high retention rate can cause a positive impact for the company. It can be done if the company pays attention to factors such as Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, compensation, and work environment. Organizations that retain their high performers are bound to be successful in performance and at the same time avoid expenses. This study attempt to analyze how Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, compensation, and work environment can effect on employee retention and if those variables are already been applied at the company. This research is using qualitative approach trough interview. The research was conducted at PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Manado Branch Sudirman. The population of this research is 10 front-liner of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Manado Branch Sudirman. Based on the results of the analysis it was found that Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, compensation, and work environment have a positive effect against the retention of employees. This suggests that the higher the level of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, compensation, and work environment then the higher employee retention is. Keywords: employee retention, maslow’s hierarchy of needs, compensation, work environment, qualitative study

Abstract

Abstract: Development of restaurant industry is growing rapidly in Indonesia resulted in developing Japanese Food Restaurants. Ichiban Sushi, Marugame Udon, Torico and Pepper Lunch are Japanese Food Restaurants located in Manado Town Square compete to give satisfaction to the customers. Physical Environment, Food Quality and Price Fairness have impact to the Customer Satisfaction which affects the repurchase intention of the customers and gaining profit. The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences between male and female customers of Japanese food restaurants in Manado Town Square determined from factors such as Physical Environment, Food Quality and Price Fairness. The Respondents are 100 customers of Japanese Food Restaurants in Manado Town Square divided by 50 male and 50 female. By using Independent Sample t-Test it shows that there is significant difference between male and female customers in Food Quality and Price Fairness meanwhile there is no significant difference between male and female customers in Physical Environment. For restaurateurs and managers, they should create new menu which suit male customers and pay attention to the food quantity. Thus, the price will become reasonable for the customers. They should upgrade their physical appearance so the customers will not get bored with the environment.Keywords: Physical Environment, Food Quality, Price Fairness, Independent Sample t-Test, Restaurant

Abstract

Dalam organisasi, sumber daya manusia merupakan unsur yang penting karena manusia merupakan penggerak dan penentu jalannya organisasi. Lingkungan organisasi, komitmen, dan pembagian kerja merupakan salah satu masalah yang mungkin timbul dalam perusahaan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah lingkungan organisasi, komitmen, dan pembagian kerja mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan. Objek penelitian yaitu PT. Bank Sulutgo Kantor Pusat Manado. Penelitian menggunakan metode asosiatif dengan menggunakan alat analisis regresi linier berganda. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 211 dan sampel yang diambil 68 responden. Hasil penelitian bahwa lingkungan organisasi, komitmen, dan pembagian kerja memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan baik secara simultan maupun parsial terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Bank Sulutgo Kantor Pusat Manado.Sebaiknya pimpinan Bank Sulutgo membuat kebijakan dalam mempertahankan indikator-indikator penelitian ini, dan diharapkan di masa yang akan datang lebih ditingkatkan dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja karyawan agar lebih efektif.
