Abstract

Kulit Jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) merupakan bagian tanaman yang banyak digunakan untuk pengobatan dengan berbagai aktivitas farmakologis. Namun masih sedikit diketahui kajian tentang bakteri endofit yang terkait dengan kulit buah tanaman ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi bakteri endofit dari kulit buah tanaman ini serta menguji aktivitas dalam mengambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli dan Methicilin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Sebanyak enam Isolat bakteri berhasil diisolasi lalu difermentasi dalam media Nutrient Broth (NB).  Hasil fermentasi kemudian diekstraksi menggunakan pelarut etil asetat. Ekstrak kental masing-masing isolat diujikan aktivitas antibakterinya menggunakan metode difusi Kirby-Bauer. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran zona hambat menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak dari isolat 3 dan isolat 5 memiliki diameter hambat kuat >10 mm. Hasil identifikasi fitokimia secara kualitatif menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak dari isolat 3 menujukkan adanya kandungan alkaloid dan flavonoid sedangkan isolat 5 teridentifikasi senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid dan polifenol. Hasil identifikasi penamaan bakteri endofit menunjukkan bahwa isolat 3 merupakan Bacillus velezensis strain JS25R dan isolat 5 merupakan Staphylococcus sp. Ekstrak dari bakteri endofit ini terbukti memiliki aktivitas terhadap bakteri patogen dan potensial untuk dilakukan isolasi dan pengembangan terhadap senyawa metabolit sekunder yang memiliki aktivitas tersebut.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that has the potential as a producer of essential oils. Plant parts that can be used as a source of essential oils are the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and so on. In the midst of the current pandemic, where the number of COVID-19 cases is increasing day by day. This requires us to maintain our immune system and always comply with health protocols, one of which is the use of masks. The use of the mask for more than 4-5 hours will cause an unpleasant odor. The outreach activity on the use of essential oils of citronella and cloves as aromatherapy in the application of perfume masks is an alternative that can be used by the public to overcome the negative impacts of using masks that last more than 4-5 hours. With this outreach activity, it is hoped that the community can apply, implement and stay healthy in the midst of the epidemic that hit. In maintaining endurance, we must relax ourselves so that we can foster creativity and remain productive in carrying out daily activities.

Abstract

DAGUSIBU (Dapatkan, Gunakan, Simpan, Buang) merupakan bagian dari Gerakan Keluarga Sadar Obat (GKSO) yang diprakarsai Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia (IAI) dalam mencapai pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat, khususnya pada ibu – ibu terhadap penggunaan obat dengan benar. Kegiatan penyuluhan Peduli Edukasi ObatDAGUSIBU memiliki tujuan membantu masyarakat setempat,khususnya ibu - ibu dalam pengelolaan obat baik di lingkungan keluarga maupun masyarakat secara umum. Penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode pemberdayaan masyarakat partisipatif, yaitu metode yang menekankan keterlibatan masyarakat pada rangkaian kegiatan. Kegiatan penyuluhan berjalan dengan lancar dan sukses. Berdasarkan obersevasi, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman dan pengetahuan ibu ibu PKK menjawab dengan benar pertanyaan dari tim penyuluh.

Abstract

Halal products are crucial for consumers. In Islam, halal and wholesome food consumption is vital for maintaining physical and spiritual well-being. The Indonesian government mandates halal product certification by Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Assurance. The critical points in determining the halal status of a product refer to processes or ingredients in its production that may potentially involve, contain, or mix with haram substances. Nevertheless, many students lack a clear understanding of halal and haram principles. This knowledge is essential to help students avoid using forbidden ingredients in Islamic teachings. Padang Chemical Analyst High School (SMAKPA) students are the targets of this service because vocational school students must have work-ready skills. Before the education session, a pre-test was conducted to assess the student's understanding of the material presentation. Education was delivered using a flowchart to enhance engagement and comprehension. The content encompasses the concepts of halal and haram in Islam, the responsible parties for halal certification, halal logos, and the analysis of critical points in the halal status of food, cosmetics, and medications. Following the material presentation, a post-test was administered, followed by a question and answer session to evaluate the students' understanding. Pre-tests and post-tests were employed to assess student comprehension, with pre-test scores averaging 99 and post-test scores at 99.5. Through this educational initiative, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the Critical Points of Halal Status in Food, Cosmetics, and Medications using a flowchart
