Abstract

It is the responsibility of lecturers to instill knowledge and good morals in their students, whether in the lecture hall or in online classes, as was the case during the 2020 pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus. This article aims to describe lecturers’ efforts to turn their students into “people with intellect” (ūlū al-albāb) who are critical, reflective and morally mature individuals. This study is based on qualitative research, employing data mining through observation, learning documentation, and interviews. The data were collated and subjected to analysis in order to reduce, present, conclude and verify them. The research was conducted at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, with a particular focus on the manifestation of ūlū al-albāb traits among the student population. The findings revealed that the lecturers employed a distinctive approach in the online setting, encompassing a gentle approach (maw’ziah hasanah), attention, affection, exercises, assignments, discussions, and the provision of solutions. While conducting their lessons online, the lecturers continued to support and evaluate their students’ attitudes and academic progress, without noticing any decline in their mid-semester and final examination results. There was also a notable improvement in the students’ critical thinking abilities, as evidenced by the quality of their thesis proposals. The students demonstrated consistent mastery of the learning material and a creative approach to research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of management functions in the form of planning, organizing, mobilizing, and monitoring carried out at the Integrated Hajj and Umrah Service Center (PLHUT) Bekasi Regency in improving services to prospective pilgrims. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach which aims to describe and provide an explanation of the implementation of management functions in improving services. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. From the exposure of the research results, it can be seen that in improving services to prospective pilgrims at PLHUT Bekasi Regency, they have implemented work principles based on management functions which include planning, organizing, mobilizing, and supervising, but in the implementation there are still obstacles that occur both from internal and external

Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing strategy and how to implement the marketing strategy carried out by Ghinasepti Tour and Travel in attracting the interest of prospective pilgrims. The method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that first, the formulation of a marketing strategy which includes the vision and mission, analysis of the internal and external environment using SWOT analysis, and the determination of marketing strategies based on the marketing mix. Second, the implementation of a marketing strategy based on a marketing communication strategy. Third, the evaluation of the marketing strategy carried out by Ghinasepti uses two techniques: a. By evaluating the technical implementation of activities in disseminating information through marketing communication media that have been carried out, b. By evaluating the sources of information obtained by prospective pilgrims.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the educational development strategies in fostering student independence at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, MAN 1 Ciamis during the Covid-19 pandemic. As the oldest of Islamic education in Indonesia, pesantren faced a dual challenge: maintaining the continuity of character education while ensuring the health and safety of students. A descriptive-analytical method with a qualitative approach was employed. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that leaders and religious teachers fostered independence by habituating students to daily religious and educational activities, such as congregational prayers, recitations, self-reliance tasks, and instilling religious values. The learning objectives targeted students' responsibility, discipline, initiative, and integrity. Teaching methods included sorogan, bandungan, lectures, discussions, modeling, habituation, and the use of rewards and punishments. During the pandemic, the school formed an internal task force to maintain health protocols. As a result, students demonstrated positive changes, including improved independence, discipline, learning motivation, and environmental awareness. The study recommends strengthening religious routines and active mentor involvement to support student independence in the new normal era. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi pengembangan pendidikan pesantren dalam membina kemandirian santri di Pondok Pesantren Darussalam MAN 1 Ciamis selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tertua di Indonesia memiliki tantangan ganda, yaitu mempertahankan keberlangsungan pendidikan karakter sambil memastikan kesehatan santri Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pimpinan dan guru agama menerapkan pembinaan kemandirian santri melalui pembiasaan kegiatan harian seperti shalat berjamaah, pengajian, tugas mandiri, serta penerapan nilai-nilai religius dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan pembelajaran diarahkan agar santri mampu bertanggung jawab terhadap diri sendiri, memiliki inisiatif, kedisiplinan, dan integritas dalam menjalani kehidupan. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan antara lain: sorogan, bandungan, ceramah, diskusi, keteladanan, habituasi, serta reward dan punishment. Di masa pandemi, pesantren juga membentuk gugus tugas internal untuk menjaga protokol kesehatan. Hasilnya, santri menunjukkan perubahan positif berupa peningkatan kemandirian, kedisiplinan, motivasi belajar, dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pembiasaan religius dan keterlibatan aktif pembimbing untuk mendukung kemandirian santri di masa adaptasi kebiasaan baru.

Abstract

The role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping students' religious moderation is highly needed. The very diverse religious diversity in public schools is a challenge for PAI teachers compared to religious-based schools. The purpose of this study is to identify PAI learning based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to improve students' moderate attitudes and national insight which includes; planning, implementation, evaluation, supporting and inhibiting factors as well as the impact of problem-based PAI learning to shape students' moderate attitudes and national insight. This study uses a qualitative approach using the case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations and documentation analysis. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman analysis technique using the ATLAS.ti analysis tool. The results of the study found that: First, PBL learning planning is carried out by; setting learning objectives, compiling learning steps and learning evaluation. Second, implementation is carried out by; orientation stage, guiding stage, developing stage and conclusion stage. Third, evaluation is carried out by; holistic, diagnostic, formative and summative evaluation stages. Fourth, supporting factors include; student involvement, high teacher creativity, student collaborative learning, program collaboration, contextualization of issues in learning, support for infrastructure and school culture. Inhibiting factors include; difficulty in determining relevant problems, time availability, lack of teacher understanding, student diversity, difficulty generating ideas, social and cultural barriers, and resistance to change. Fifth, a moderate attitude is demonstrated by; tolerance, openness, respect for diversity, good ethics in interactions, wasathiyah, social harmony, critical and objective.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental santri merupakan aspek penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan belajar dan pembinaan akhlak di pesantren. Rutinitas ibadah yang padat dan interaksi sosial yang intens menuntut santri memiliki kedisiplinan beribadah serta dukungan dari teman sebaya agar mampu menjaga stabilitas psikologisnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif asosiatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh santri Pondok Pesantren Kanzul Hasanah Kalisari yang berjumlah 27 orang, dan seluruhnya dijadikan sampel penelitian dengan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket skala Likert, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kedisiplinan ibadah santri berada pada kategori cukup dengan persentase 74,11%; (2) dukungan teman sebaya berada pada kategori cukup dengan persentase 73,03%; (3) kesehatan mental santri berada pada kategori cukup dengan persentase 72,77%; (4) hasil uji regresi menunjukkan nilai Adjusted R Square sebesar 0,775, yang berarti kedisiplinan ibadah dan dukungan teman sebaya secara bersama-sama memberikan kontribusi sebesar 77,5% terhadap kesehatan mental santri, sedangkan sisanya 22,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini.
