Abstract

Smoking among adolescents is a pressing public health issue, considering its serious impact on physical and mental health during the developmental period. This community service activity aimed to increase knowledge, foster anti-smoking attitudes, and equip students with skills to refuse cigarettes. This intervention was conducted through socialization and education methods involving 90 students at SMPN 191 West Jakarta, followed by an evaluation. Initial evaluation results showed high risk factors in the students’ environment: 68.89% had smoking family members, 51.11% had been offered cigarettes by friends, and 8.89% of students admitted to having tried smoking. After the education was provided, the evaluation results showed that all students had a good understanding of the dangers of smoking and stated they would refuse if offered cigarettes. It was concluded that education and socialization are effective in increasing students’ knowledge and awareness. However, external risk factors such as family and peer influence remain a challenge, thus requiring sustained collaboration between the school, families, and the community.

Abstract

AbstractHypertension (HT) is a major risk factor for Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) in Indonesia, characterized by high prevalence, with most cases remaining uncontrolled. This condition necessitates a multidisciplinary approach focused on enhancing health literacy and treatment adherence. The objective of this community service program was to improve health literacy related to HT prevention and management. The activity was conducted on July 2, 2025, at RPTRA Jeruk Manis, involving 35 participants (PKK mothers, Dasawisma representatives, and Posbindu cadres). The intervention utilized structured interactive counseling delivered through three core pillars: Pathophysiology, Healthy Lifestyle, and Pharmaceutical Education (DAGUSIBU). Effectiveness was measured using a 10-item multiple-choice post-test and blood pressure screening. The results showed high success in the cognitive domain, evidenced by post-test scores predominantly ranging from 80 to 100. Significant improvement in understanding occurred regarding risk concepts, non-pharmacological strategies (salt restriction), and medication adherence. Clinically, early detection successfully identified several cases of clinical hypertension and pre-hypertension among participants, confirming the program's urgency and relevance. The three-pillar education model proved effective in enhancing community health literacy concerning hypertension prevention. Continuous follow-up and behavioral monitoring are required to transform the acquired knowledge into sustainable lifestyle changes.Keywords: Hypertension; Health Literacy; Three-Pillar Education; DAGUSIBU; Posbindu. AbstrakHipertensi (HT) merupakan faktor risiko utama Penyakit Kardiovaskular (PKV) di Indonesia, dengan prevalensi tinggi yang sebagian besar tidak terkontrol. Kondisi ini menuntut pendekatan multidisiplin yang berfokus pada peningkatan literasi kesehatan dan kepatuhan pengobatan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan literasi kesehatan terkait pencegahan dan manajemen HT. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 2 Juli 2025 di RPTRA Jeruk Manis dengan melibatkan 35 peserta (ibu-ibu PKK, Dasawisma, dan kader Posbindu). Metode intervensi menggunakan penyuluhan interaktif terstruktur melalui tiga pilar: Patofisiologi, Gaya Hidup Sehat, dan Edukasi Farmasi (DAGUSIBU). Efektivitas diukur melalui post-test 10 soal pilihan ganda dan pemeriksaan tekanan darah. Hasil menunjukkan keberhasilan tinggi di domain kognitif, dibuktikan dengan skor post-test yang dominan di rentang 80 hingga 100. Peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan terjadi pada konsep risiko, strategi non-farmakologis (pembatasan garam), dan kepatuhan obat. Secara klinis, deteksi dini berhasil menemukan beberapa kasus hipertensi klinis dan pre-hipertensi di antara peserta, menegaskan urgensi dan relevansi program. Edukasi tiga pilar terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan masyarakat terkait pencegahan hipertensi. Diperlukan tindak lanjut dan monitoring perilaku berkelanjutan untuk mentransformasi pengetahuan yang diperoleh menjadi perubahan gaya hidup yang lestari.Kata Kunci: Hipertensi; Literasi Kesehatan; Edukasi Tiga Pilar; DAGUSIBU; Posbindu.

Abstract

 Pemberian antikoagulan pada pasien COVID-19 dengan tingkat derajat keparahan berat dan sangat berat/kritis bermanfaat sebagai profilaksis untuk mencegah pembekuan darah yang berdampak terhadap gangguan transportasi oksigen ke paru-paru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola penggunaan antikoagulan pada pasien COVID-19 di ruang perawatan intensif rumah sakit X pada periode Juni-Desember 2022.  Penelitian ini dilakukan secara non-eksperimental dengan metode deskriptif retrospektif melalui data dari rekam medik pasien. Evaluasi pola penggunaan antikoagulan pada 30 orang pasien COVID-19 dilakukan dengan melihat beberapa indikator laboratorium, seperti D-dimer, INR, PT, dan aPTT. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil bahwa sebanyak 60% pasien berjenis kelamin laki-laki, 97% pasien memiliki nilai D-dimer awal yang tinggi. Jenis antikoagulan yang digunakan berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini adalah enoxaparin sebesar (55%), heparin (41%), dan fondaparinux (5%). Sebanyak 87% pasien COVID-19 yang dirawat di ruang ICU rumah sakit X  dipulangkan dalam kondisi meninggal. Kata kunci: COVID-19, Antikoagulan, rumah sakit X

Abstract

Abstrak: Masalah Kesehatan mental pada remaja semakin meningkat akibat tekanan sosial, akademik, dan kurangnya pemahaman tentang menjaga kesehatan psikologis. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman remaja mengenai kesehatan mental melalui metode edukasi interaktif berbasis quiz. Sasaran kegiatan adalah warga Kelurahan Cibodas Kota Tangerang , dengan total peserta sebanyak 50 orang. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan singkat mengenai kesehatan mental, penyampaian materi dengan media audio visual, serta sesi quiz interaktif untuk memperkuat pemahaman peseta. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest dan posttest guna mengukur peningkatan pengatahuan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta dari 58,3% menjadi 92,6% yang berkaiatan mengenai tanda-tanda gangguan mental, cara menjaga keseimbangan emosi, serta pentingnya dukungan sosial. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran dan kepedulian remaja terhadap kesehatan mental melalui pendekatan edukatif yang menyenangkan dan partisipatif.Abstract: Mental health issues among adolescents are increasing due to social pressure, academic demands, and a lack of understanding of psychological well-being. This community service program aimed to enhance mental health awareness among adolescents through interactive quiz-based education. The program was conducted in Cibodas Village, Tangerang, involving 50 participants. The implementation included a brief counselling session on mental health, the delivery of educational materials using visual media, and interactive quizzes to reinforce understanding. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test assessments to measure knowledge improvement. The results showed increase percentage from 58,3% to 92,6% in participants’ understanding of mental health indicators, emotional balance, and the importance of social support. This activity proved effective in raising awareness and fostering positive attitudes toward mental health among adolescents through an engaging and participatory learning approach.
