Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study was conducted to determine the effect of processed rubber production (X1), world rubber prices (X2), and exchange rates (X3) on the value of Jambi Province rubber exports (Y). The data in this study are secondary data sourced from the Jambi Central Statistics Agency for the period 2011-2021. Background Problems: The role of rubber exports is quite crucial for the economy of Jambi Province, apart from being a source of income, rubber exports also act as a promoter of regional development so that it is possible to create downstream effects for economic activities, especially the development of downstream industries. Research Methods: Several statistical tests were carried out, namely developmental analysis and regression analysis, to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Finding/Results: The research found that the world rubber price significantly impacted the value of rubber exports. In contrast, the production of processed rubber and the exchange rate had no significant effect on the value of rubber exports. However, simultaneous calculation results show that the production of processed rubber, world rubber prices, and the exchange rate significantly impact Jambi's rubber exports. Conclusion: From the analysis of the coefficient of determination, 82% of Jambi Province's rubber exports are influenced by processed rubber production, world rubber prices, and exchange rates, and other variables that influence the remaining 18%.

Abstract

The negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have been felt by international trade players in Indonesia. The coronavirus outbreak that spread at the end of 2019 has hit economic activities including foreign investment in the health and social work sector in Indonesia. Decreased investment will lead to reduced employment and encourage increased unemployment in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there are differences in exchange rates and foreign investment in the health sector and social workers before the pandemic with during the covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This research method uses quantitative research, using secondary data obtained from BPS and Bank Indonesia publications. The data used is cross-time data, namely 2017-2019 and 2020-2022. The data analysis method uses the Paired Sample Test. The results showed that the value of foreign investment in the health and social work sector had no significant difference between the 3-year period before the Covid-19 pandemic and the 3-year period during the Covid-19 pandemic. The average growth of investment in the pre-pandemic period was 74.42 per cent, which was greater than during the pandemic period, which was 34.75 per cent. The exchange rate of the rupiah against the U$ dollar has a significant difference between the 3-year period before the Covid-19 pandemic and the 3-year period of the Covid-19 pandemic. The average exchange rate of the rupiah during the pre-pandemic period was IDR 13,919, this was lower than during the pandemic which was IDR 14,538.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to determine the effect of population on the number of poor people by intervening labor absorption in Jambi Province. Period 2002-2021. The type of data in this research is quantitative data, where the population is the variable (X), the number of people working is the variable (Z), and the number of poor people is the variable (Y). The data analysis technique is path analysis which is used to analyze direct and indirect effects. From the research results, it was concluded that population size had a significant effect on labor absorption in Jambi Province, Labor absorption does not have a significant effect on the number of poor people in Jambi Province, population size does not have a significant effect on the number of poor people in Jambi Province, and the indirect influence between population on the number of poor people and intervening labor absorption in Jambi Province. Sobel analysis (Sobel Test) was carried out, proving that population size was able to mediate the relationship between the number of poor people and labor absorption in Jambi Province. Abstract

Protein consumption for the community is very important and must be known, because improving nutritional status is the basis for the formation of quality, healthy, intelligent, productive, and independent human resources in an area. The level of public protein consumption, especially from beef products, is strongly influenced by the conditions of product supply and demand, because these indicators also affect prices and the level of inflation in general. For this reason, research needs to be done specifically to analyze the effect of price, inflation and per capita expenditure on the protein consumption pattern of the people in Jambi Province. The design of this research is a quantitative analysis of time series data for the period 2007-2018 which is further analyzed by Path Analysis. The results showed that there was no direct influence between the variable foodstuff inflation (IBM) and Beef Price (HDS) on Community Per Capita Expenditure (PBM), but PBM had an effect on Community Protein Consumption (KPM). The indirect effect between IBM on KPM through PPM and HDS on KPM through PPM has a significant effect. To maintain a healthy condition for protein consumption in Jambi Province, the government needs to take policies such as maintaining a stable condition of foodstuff inflation and beef prices in the market.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a quantitative study with an explanatory approach, namely an approach that uses previous studies as the main basis for obtaining novelty and is developed in the research being conducted. The data used in this study are secondary data from various credible sources, namely the Central Statistics Agency from 2010 to 2024. The data were analyzed using the smart PLS 4.0 analysis tool. The result in this article show the two hypotheses proposed in this article, namely the Human Development Index variable can have a positive relationship direction and a significant influence on Economic Growth can be accepted and proven. This is because the P-Values are positive and below the significance level of 0.05, namely 0.009. The reason for these results is that the Human Development Index which is influenced by Health and Education Levels can have a good, positive, and significant impact on Economic Growth. On this basis, it can be concluded that the first hypothesis in this article can be accepted. In the next section, the researcher also has another hypothesis, namely that the Population Size variable can moderate the influence of the Human Development Index variable on Economic Growth because of the same thing, namely the P-Values are positive and below the significance level of 0.05, which is 0.000 more significant than direct testing of 0.009. Thus, the first and second hypotheses in this article can be accepted. Keywords: Population Size, Human Development Index, Economic Growth

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This study aims to analyze the impact of economic growth, unemployment, and education on crime rates in Jambi Province during the 2013–2022 period. Background Problems: Crime is not merely the result of individual behavior, but often reflects structural inequalities and unequal access to economic and educational opportunities. Despite the increasing importance of crime prevention in regional planning, empirical research at the provincial level in Indonesia—especially Jambi—is still limited. Novelty: This study contributes by using updated time-series data and focusing specifically on Jambi Province, which remains underrepresented in existing empirical literature on crime determinants in Indonesia. Research Methods: A quantitative approach was applied using multiple linear regression analysis. The study used secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Jambi Province, covering the period 2013–2022. Finding/Results: All three variables—economic growth, unemployment, and education—have a significant negative effect on crime rates. Among them, unemployment and education were found to be the most dominant factors influencing crime reduction. Conclusion: Efforts to reduce crime in Jambi Province should focus on improving access to education and reducing unemployment. Balanced and inclusive development policies that integrate economic and social aspects are key to building a safer society.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the determinants of honey pumpkin production in an effort to increase the income of honey pumpkin farmers in Muaro Jambi district (case study of Pudak village). The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method. A survey is collecting information from a portion of the population (sample) in the hope of getting fairly representative information. Meanwhile, quantitative uses data collection techniques from a sample of 29 farmers. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to answer the second research objective, namely what factors influence honey gourd production in Pudak Village, Muaro Jambi Regency. Capital and labor variables have a significant and positive effect on honey pumpkin production. Meanwhile, technological variables do not have a significant effect on honey pumpkin production. Production variables have a significant effect on the income of honey pumpkin farmers.
