Abstract

ABSTRACT Spring is generally used in various machine development, in its use the spring must provide appropriate power, dampen impact, assimilate and store energy to dampen vibration. In this study, an annealing spring combustion process was carried out with large variations in temperature and burning time, then cooled using the normalizing technique. The spring used is the mio soul shockbreaker. The difference in combustion temperature used is 400, 450, 500, with constant testing using a dynamic pressure test. From the research results, it can be seen that there is a change in the value of the stiffness constant due to changes in the annealing heating temperature. When W is 1000N, the annealing temperature is 400 °C : 2500 N/m, 450 °C : 2875 N/m, 500 °C : 2272N/m. The heating temperature that produces the right stiffness constant value is found at a temperature of 450 °C with a constant value at W 1000 N 2875 N/m. Abstract

On February 18, 2023, an incident occurred at Tuban Plant factory. Namely a work accident that happened to a senior employee from the Fire & Rescue division. This incident occurred in a restricted area where evacuation access was limited and there was no telephone signal because it was located underground. Therefore, the author decided to make and install a safety device in the form of a temperature or heat detector and material level to provide warnings in the form of danger lights and sounds from horns in the area. After the tool is installed, temperature monitoring can be done on the local panel and also from the Technical Information System (TIS). After installation, from HIRAC calculations this tool succeeded in reducing the risk score by 95%, from initially 360 (high) to 18 (low). Apart from that, this tool can also save IDR 39,974,495 per hour from the initial handling time before the tool was 66.3 hours.

Abstract

The cooling system is an important part in an engine work cycle. The main purpose of the cooling system is to maintain the engine's working temperature to remain optimal and prevent overheating in the engine. Therefore, the researcher examines the variation of the cooling fluid on the radiator capacity and effectiveness of heat absorption and analyzes the radiator capacity based on the engine rpm and the effect of time on the capacity and effectiveness of heat absorption. This research is using experimental method. The testing process is carried out in stages and records the test results. The results of calculations and tests for the heat transfer rate (radiator capacity) are the highest on mineral water fluid, namely 810117 watts and the lowest on Super long life Coolant fluid, namely 170319.6 watts. While the test results for the effectiveness of radiator heat absorption which has a stable heat absorption effectiveness from the variation of the applied fluid is using Super long life Coolant fluid

Abstract

Batik is an Indonesian cultural heritage that has been recognized by UNESCO as a humanitarian heritage for oral and intangible culture since October 2009. One type of batik that has uniqueness and high aesthetic value is the Madura Pateng-Teng Batik from Bangkalan, Madura. However, the sustainability of batik production faces big challenges due to the long production process, especially during the drying stage which still depends on weather conditions. Uneven drying can affect batik quality and extend production time, thereby reducing the efficiency and competitiveness of the batik industry. This research aims to design an automatic drying tool to optimize the production of Madura Pateng-Teng Batik by applying the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. This method is used to identify the needs and desires of batik craftsmen and transform these needs into appropriate technical specifications for tools. This research uses a quantitative approach by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to batik business owners in Bangkalan. The data obtained was analyzed using the House of Quality (HoQ) to determine optimal dryer specifications. The research results show that the designed automatic dryer is able to speed up the drying process, improve the quality of the final batik result, and reduce dependence on weather conditions. This tool is equipped with a temperature and time control system that can be adjusted to the type of batik cloth, and is designed with energy-saving technology to increase production efficiency. Thus, it is hoped that the application of this automatic drying tool can provide an innovative solution for Madurese Pateng-Teng Batik craftsmen, so that they can maintain production continuity and preserve the cultural heritage of typical Madurese batik.

Abstract

Industri kreatif di Indonesia terus berkembang, termasuk dalam bidang tekstil ramah lingkungan seperti ecoprint. Ecoprint merupakan teknik pewarnaan kain menggunakan bahan alami yang membutuhkan proses pengukusan agar warna dan motif dapat menempel secara optimal. Namun, proses pengukusan yang dilakukan secara manual sering kali menghasilkan ketidakkonsistenan dalam kualitas, boros energi, serta memakan waktu lama. Ecoprint M-Six Surabaya menghadapi permasalahan serupa karena masih menggunakan metode tradisional dalam produksi ecoprint. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang mesin pengukus kain ecoprint yang lebih efektif dan efisien menggunakan metode Fishbone Diagram. Metode ini digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas pengukusan, seperti mesin, metode, manusia, material, dan lingkungan. Dengan desain mesin yang lebih optimal, diharapkan produksi ecoprint dapat lebih efisien, meningkatkan ketajaman motif, daya tahan warna, serta mengurangi waktu dan energi yang dibutuhkan dalam proses produksi. Hasil penelitian ini tidak hanya bermanfaat bagi Ecoprint M-Six Surabaya tetapi juga bagi industri ecoprint secara luas dalam meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas dengan pendekatan yang lebih ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

UMKM pangan memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian lokal, namun sering menghadapi kendala dalam aspek legalitas merek dagang dan pemenuhan standar halal. Permasalahan tersebut dialami oleh UD Kauman Jaya, sebuah usaha kecil menengah yang memproduksi keripik tempe di Tenggilis Mejoyo, Surabaya. Ketiadaan merek dagang terdaftar dan belum adanya penerapan Sistem Jaminan Produk Halal (SJPH) menyebabkan usaha ini kurang memiliki daya saing, baik di pasar lokal maupun nasional. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas manajerial dan kemandirian UMKM melalui pelatihan merek dagang dan SJPH. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, pendampingan implementasi, serta evaluasi hasil. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman pemilik dan karyawan terkait pentingnya branding dan kehalalan produk. UD Kauman Jaya berhasil menyusun draft merek dagang, memperbaiki desain kemasan, serta menyiapkan dokumen awal SJPH sesuai standar BPJPH. Analisis lebih lanjut mengungkapkan bahwa pelatihan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas manajerial, tetapi juga memperkuat kepercayaan konsumen dan membuka peluang ekspansi pasar. Dengan demikian, program ini terbukti efektif dalam mendorong kemandirian UMKM dan dapat direplikasi pada usaha sejenis untuk meningkatkan daya saing berbasis merek dan jaminan halal.

Abstract

Sistem pengapian motor, atau busi memegang peranan penting. Busi berfungsi untuk memercikkan bunga api yang diperlukan untuk membakar campuran bahan bakar dengan udara yang telah dikompresi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbandingan torsi, daya, dan KBBS pada motor bensin 4 langkah yang dihasilkan dari busi standar, kaki dua, platinum dan iridium. Pengujian ini menggunakan motor Yamaha Jupiter z. Pengujian unjuk kerja motor dilakukan dengan menggunakan dynotest (dynotest V3.3). Pengujian dilakukan secara bergantian untuk masing-masing busi dengan variasi putaran mesin 4000-10000 RPM dengan kenaikan 250 RPM pada gigi transmisi 3 digunakan untuk memperoleh perbandingan torsi (T), daya (P), konsumsi bahan bakar spesifik (KBBS). Peak torsi tertinggi didapatkan pada busi iridium mencapai 8,75 NM pada putaran 5069 RPM, daya tertinggi dihasilkan pada busi iridium dan busi kaki dua mencapai 8,1 Hp dan 8,1Hp pada putaran 7692 RPM dan 7892 RPM, KBBS terbaik didapatkan pada busi iridium mencapai 0,078 Kg/h.Hp pada putaran 6000 RPM.

Abstract

The gas turbine is one of the most widely used equipment in oil and gas industries as an electric generator driving system. To maintain the reliability and performance of the gas turbine, a major inspection program is required. Thermal efficiency analysis is the parameters of success in major inspection activities. Thermal efficiency analysis is carried out by comparing data and operating parameters of gas turbine before and after the major inspection. The analysis aims to determine the actual efficiency of each component, and also the actual overall efficiency in the gas turbine. The study result is the actual thermal efficiency of a gas turbine after a major inspection has increased from 12.20% to 12.84% at a load of 6 MW, an increase from 15.76% to 16.77% at a load of 9 MW, and an increase of 18.59% to 20.16% at a load of 12 MW. Based on the actual performance comparison data with design data, it is known that the overall actual performance is still below the design performance, both heat efficiency, heat consumption and heat rate. This is caused by the operating lifetime
