Masalah yang melatar belakangi penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya aktivitas belajar mahasiswa semester I Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi STKIP Tapanuli Selatan pada mata kuliah Pengantar Pendidikan, sehingga diperlukan metode perkuliahan yang sesuai. Metode yang diterapkan adalah metode mind mapping, dikarenakan dengan metode mind mapping mahasiswa dapat lebih baik dalam memahami materi dibandingkan dengan metode lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas mahasiswa dalam mata kuliah Pengantar Pendidikan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dengan lembar observasi aktivitas mahasiswa dan angket kepuasaan mahasiswa terhadap pernerapan metode mind mapping. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas mahasiswa dari pertemuan siklus I ke pertemuan siklus II dimana rata-rata persentase ketuntasan yang diperoleh untuk siklus I 45,45% dan rata-rata siklus II 81,82%.

The learning process of Biology in SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang focus on teacher, as the consequence the studentsâ biology achievement is still low. There are many efforts which teacher can do to motivat students in learning process to get better result such as by giving concept mapping of Cooperative Reading Integrated and Composition (CIRC). This research is aimed to know the effect of using concept mapping of Cooperative Reading Integrated and Composition (CIRC) learning model on studentsâ biology achievement at the X grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok.
The kind of this research is experimental research where the population is all X grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok in 2010/2011 academic year that consist of 4 classes. The sample is X3 as experimental class and X4 as control class, they are taken by random sampling technique. The design used is randomized control-group postest only design. The instrument used is a group of achievement test at the end of this research. The technique of analyzing data by using U test if Ucalculation Ë Utable, so the hypothesis (H1) is accepted and H0 is rejected.
From the research findings, Ucalculation is 255 and Utable is 216, so Ucalculation Ë Utable, it means the hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejeced. It can be concluded that there is a positive effect of giving homework such as concept mapping of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on studentsâ biology achievement at the X grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang Kabupaten Solok.

Based on the research revealed that the module developed is at very valid category with value 84.44%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kemampuan mahasiswa IPTS dalam mengaplikasikan keterampilan mengajar mengadakan variasi dalam kegiatan PPL. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa PPL NPM 2015 tahun ajaran 2018/2019, sedangkan yang menjadi sampel penelitian berjumlah 103 orang. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa gambaran mahasiswa PPL mengaplikasikan keterampilan mengajar mengadakan variasi secara keseluruhan diperoleh nilai persentase 8,10% kategori kurang. Kemampuan untuk variasi suara dengn persentase 43%, pemusatan/perhatian dengan persentase 34%, pemberian waktu atau kesenyapan dengan persentase 39%, mengadakan kontak pandang dengan persentase 26%, pada indikator gerakan badan/ mimik wajah dengan persentase 34% dan perubahan posisi dengan persentase 26%. Berdasarkan Hasil analisis diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasisiwa PPL dalam keterampilan mengajar mengadakan variasi masih kategori kurang.
