Abstract

COVID-19 merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh jenis coronavirus baru (SARS-CoV-2), yang saat ini telah menjadi masalah kesehatan global. Upaya yang efektif dilakukan saat ini adalah menciptakan kepedulian masyarakat yang dimulai dari level rumah tangga yaitu melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan edukasi dalam penerapan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS). Budaya PHBS sangat berpengaruh dalam pencegahan dan penularan virus Covid-19. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kampung Mojopahit, Kecamatan Punggur, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam ber-PHBS, dimana masyarakat sudah mampu memahami pentingnya penggunaan masker untuk menghindari percikan droplet saat berbicara, batuk, ataupun bersin pada saat berpergian maupun pada saat berbicara dengan orang lain. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah masih kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat untuk menggunakan masker dan mencuci tangan, terlebih masyarakat yang bermata pencaharian sebagai petani di sawah dan di ladang enggan menggunakan masker karena mengganggu pernafasan saat bekerja.

Abstract

Transformasi pelayanan administrasi kependudukan melalui penerapan Identitas Kependudukan Digital (IKD) merupakan langkah strategis pemerintah dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan keamanan pengelolaan data penduduk. Namun, tingkat literasi digital masyarakat masih menjadi tantangan utama, termasuk di Desa Tulus Rejo, Kabupaten Lampung Timur, yang menunjukkan rendahnya pemahaman mengenai konsep, manfaat, serta prosedur aktivasi IKD. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan masyarakat terkait penggunaan IKD melalui sosialisasi dan pendampingan teknis. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, masyarakat diberikan sosialisasi berupa penjelasan konsep IKD, urgensi penerapannya, manfaat keamanan data, serta langkah aktivasi aplikasi. Selanjutnya dilakukan pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta. Sebanyak 34 responden berpartisipasi, dan hasil pre-test menunjukkan pemahaman awal yang rendah. Setelah sosialisasi dan pendampingan, hasil post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan, menandakan efektivitas kegiatan dalam meningkatkan literasi digital masyarakat. Selain itu, pendampingan aktivasi aplikasi membantu masyarakat mampu mengunduh, registrasi, dan menggunakan IKD secara mandiri. Hasil pengabdian ini membuktikan bahwa sosialisasi terstruktur dan pendampingan teknis berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan IKD. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung percepatan digitalisasi layanan administrasi kependudukan di tingkat desa serta menjadi model pelaksanaan program serupa di wilayah lain.

Abstract

Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) diposisikan sebagai kebijakan penting pemerintah guna menekan angka stunting sekaligus mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dasar di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanaan MBG di Provinsi Lampung, mengidentifikasi strategi penguatan, serta menelaah kontribusinya terhadap motivasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan menelaah regulasi, dokumen resmi pemerintah, dan hasil penelitian nasional maupun internasional terkait program makan bergizi di sekolah. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa program MBG sanngat berkontribusi terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan fisiologis siswa yang berdampak pada meningkatnya konsentrasi, partisipasi aktif, kehadiran, serta suasana belajar yang kondusif. Strategi penguatan yang direkomendasikan meliputi diversifikasi menu makanan bergizi, pemanfaatan bahan pangan lokal, monitoring kesehatan siswa secara berkala, dan integrasi dengan pendidikan karakter. Dengan demikian, MBG tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai intervensi kesehatan, melainkan juga menjadi instrumen pendidikan penting dalam upaya membangun sumber daya manusia yang unggul di Provinsi Lampung.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high number of productive-age residents in Kota Metro who choose to work abroad, while villages still need productive human resources to develop their local potential. The research aims to analyze a Local Resources Development (LRD) model as an effort to reduce international migration. Using a descriptive qualitative method through document studies and interviews, the findings show that the utilization of local potential such as agriculture, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and the creative economy has not been optimal and therefore has not reduced migration pressures. Migration is further driven by the seasonal nature of agriculture, limited MSME capital, and the lack of technological and digital marketing support. The proposed LRD model emphasizes the use of natural resources, strengthening of creative economies based on local wisdom, capacity-building for human resources, and collaboration between government and the private sector. This model is expected to provide sustainable employment alternatives and improve community welfare, thereby reducing international migration.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out at Kerambitan 1 Public High School based on the low interest of Generation Z in agriculture due to their limited understanding of the use of modern technology in this sector. This activity aimed to increase students' interest and understanding of agriculture through counseling and workshops with three main topics, namely in vitro culture technology, the use of digital technology in landscape architecture, and agribusiness concepts, which were then complemented by tree planting in the school environment. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in both the students' knowledge and interest. More than 80% of students understood the material after the activity, with the largest increase in the topic of in vitro culture (from 30.0% to 85.7%). Students' interest in continuing their studies in agriculture also increased from 32.9% to 68.6%. In addition, the tree planting activity with teachers, lecturers, and KKN students fostered environmental awareness and the importance of sustainability. The conclusion of this activity is that the integration of theoretical learning, technological practice, and real environmental action can increase students' enthusiasm in understanding modern agriculture, with the added benefit of a collaborative and interactive approach.

Bali, Indonesia, has significant potential for the development of orchid cultivation, particularly through the production of hybrids that meet market preferences. Among various orchid genera, Dendrobium holds major economic and horticultural importance due to its wide adaptability, aesthetic value, and high demand in both domestic and international markets. Wild Dendrobium species represent an invaluable source of germplasm that can be used for interspecific hybridization and the development of new cultivars with desirable characteristics such as flower color, shape, and durability. However, the lack of information on the genetic diversity of native Dendrobium species in Bali limits their effective use in breeding and conservation programs. This study aimed to evaluate the genetic diversity and relationships among 24 native Dendrobium species collected from 12 forest areas across Bali using Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) markers. The molecular analysis revealed high genetic variation, with 86.21 percent of loci showing polymorphism and moderate heterozygosity across populations. Genetic similarity coefficients among species ranged from 0.66 to 0.97. The highest genetic similarity was observed between Dendrobium sp. Wanagiri and Dendrobium sp. Sepang, while D. fimbriatum was identified as the most genetically distinct species. These findings demonstrate a broad genetic base among Bali’s native Dendrobium species, indicating their strong potential as parental resources in hybrid breeding programs. The study also provides valuable molecular data that support the conservation and sustainable utilization of Bali’s native orchid germplasm for future cultivation and breeding initiatives.

Abstract

Dibalik kegemaran dalam budidaya Anggrek, fenomena yang terjadi adalah budidaya Anggrek kerap kurang oprimal. Budidaya Anggrek, kerap kurang ideal karena faktor lingkungan. Padahal tanaman Anggrek memiliki daya tarik dan harga yang cukup tinggi dipasaran. Oleh karenanya diperlukan ide - ide dari narasumber untuk berbagi pengalaman tentang bagaimana proses aklimatisasi Anggrek dengan menggunakan colchicine. Dalam hal ini praktik komunikasi pemberdayaan masyarakat dilakukan oleh narasumber dengan mentransferkan pengetahuan mengenai proses aklimatisasi Anggrek kepada kelompok ibu - ibu PKK di Desa Abiansemal. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini diantaranya : Agar mengetahui teori yang perlu diperhatikan dalam komunikasi pemberdayaan masyarakat, Agar wawasan peserta pentingnya menjadi masyarakat mandiri dengan membuka peluang usaha yang ada, Agar peserta mengetahui dan memahami tanaman Anggrek mempunyai daya tarik tinggi, Agar peserta mengetahui dan memahami bagaimana mengembangkan tanaman Anggrek yang lebih unik. Metode untuk melaksanakan kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan dan workshop. Hasil kegiatan yaitu : pemaparan dan praktik langsung dari proses aklimatisasi Anggrek dengan perlakuan colchicine, penerbitan artikel berita di media massa dan HAKI video kegiatan pengabdian. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan dan pelatihan dengan mendatangkan narasumber ahli dibidang pengembangan tanaman Anggrek, kepada Ibu – ibu PKK Desa Abiansemal sangatlah penting adanya, terutama dalam membangun kemandirian usaha di bidang agribisnis.

Bali, Indonesia, has strong potential for the development of ornamental orchids, particularly compact cultivars with high commercial value. Dendrobium crumenatum, a native Indonesian orchid, is widely appreciated for its white, fragrant flowers; however, its tall growth habit limits its suitability as a potted ornamental plant. This study aimed to induce and evaluate dwarf phenotypes in D. crumenatum using gamma irradiation. Plantlets were exposed to 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 Gy, arranged in a completely randomized design with five replicates and three plantlets per replicate (n=75). Morphological traits were assessed after in vitro culture and acclimatization. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a 5% significance level (p<0.05). Gamma irradiation significantly affected all measured traits. The 5 Gy treatment caused severe growth suppression, reducing plant height, leaf number, and shoot number by approximately 53.7%, 81.7%, and 84.4%, respectively, compared to the control. In contrast, the 10 Gy treatment achieved a similar reduction in plant height (~52.6%) while maintaining higher leaf number (~83.3% of control) and shoot number (~62.2% of control), indicating a more balanced morphological response. The 15 Gy treatment showed minimal deviation from the control, whereas 20 Gy produced semi-compact plants with moderate shoot retention. These results demonstrate a non-linear dose-response relationship, where intermediate doses (particularly 10 Gy) optimize the trade-off between dwarfism and vegetative performance. These findings indicate that medium gamma irradiation doses are effective for generating dwarf D. crumenatum mutants suitable for potted ornamental use and demonstrate the potential of mutation breeding to support orchid improvement and the floriculture industry.

Abstract

Acclimatization is the final stage of propagation by in vitro culture. This phase is crucial in micropropagation, as it will determine the survival of plantlets outside culture jars. This phase’s efforts should ensure optimal conditions, including the media type. This study sought the best media for acclimating strawberry plantlets produced under meristem culture. The research employed the randomized block design, utilizing 7 various media treatments, which include husk charcoal; perlite; cocopeat; perlite + husk charcoal; soil + sand; husk charcoal + cocopeat; and perlite + cocopeat. The media mix was set at 1:1 a ratio (weight/weight), with 9 replicates. The chemical properties of the media were then analyzed, including several parameters such as organic C, total N, and water content. Several parameters were observed for plantlet’s growth parameters, including plant survival rates, number of leaves per plant, average leaf area, and root fresh weight. The results found that cocopeat was the best medium for acclimating strawberry plantlets. In cocopeat media, the plant survival rate reached 96.68%, with the leaves number of 7.67 plant-1, an average leaf area of 120.92 cm2 plant-1, and root fresh weight of 4.30 g plant-1. These results indicate that cocopeat is a medium derived from coconut fiber powder, a natural resource that can be renewed sustainably and produces better plant plantlet growth.
