Abstract

ABSTRACT As a strategic upstream area of the Barito River, Murung Raya Regency currently faces serious environmental challenges due to massive land clearing and development activities. This study aims to analyze the condition and density of vegetation in Murung Raya Regency using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) from 2023 Landsat 8 satellite imagery. The results show that the total study area is 20,211.68 Ha, which is heavily dominated by Non-Vegetation (44.19%) and Very Low Vegetation (44.18%) classes, totaling 17,864.54 Ha or 88.39% of the total area. Spatially, these low NDVI values strongly correlate with bareland, infrastructure networks, and land clearing activities. Meanwhile, high-density forest only accounts for 8.84%, primarily in the northern region. These findings emphasize the urgent need for spatial planning policy evaluation and forest area protection in the upstream to ensure the sustainability of ecological functions in the future.   Keywords: NDVI, Murung Raya, Vegetation Density, Landsat 8, Environmental Degradation.

Abstract

Kepuhsari Village is a puppet craft village, located in Wonogiri Regency. Existing cultural resources are able to be optimized as a tourist attraction with the characteristic of making wayang kulit, through a complete process, namely cutting and playing. The emergence of the Wayang Village Tourism Village is a tangible form of the application of the Community Based Tourism concept. This research was proposed to find out: the economic impact of the implementation of community-based tourism in the Wayang Village Tourism Village. This study uses a qualitative approach, by collecting primary data through interviews and observations to explore more deeply the phenomena that occur, supported by regional mapping and documentation. The primary data collection will be reduced to draw a red thread from the statements that appear, supported by secondary data that is deemed appropriate to the context of the problem. Analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. This research produces findings, namely: Economic benefits, changes in puppet production patterns, and the use of cultural resources are strongly influenced by tourism, although the perceived direct economic impact is relatively low but tourism presence is able to move the economic wheel of the Kepuhsari village community.

Abstract

Tourism conditions for renewable energy in the new coastal tourism area so far have not maximally attracted tourists and the region has not supported tourism activities. This can be seen from the imbalance in the increase of coastal tourists with renewable energy, which should get attention because it is a benchmark of the mismatch between demand and the availability or availability of existing fields. This study aims to determine the handling of tourism areas for renewable energy that are in accordance with the wishes of tourists, with the aim of tourism studies, supply-demand, and drawing conclusions and recommendations for handling tourism. The approach uses the Quantitative - Two Steps Questionnare method, with the research instrument in the form of a questionnaire through two stages. The result is a discrepancy between supply and demand for infrastructure. Then it needs to be improved so that the tourist area continues. There is a demand for 6 amenities (gates, parking lots, toilets, lodgings, restaurants, souvenir shops) and the development of promotional information by managers within the coastal area through social media. Assessment of supply-demand, namely medium-importance (attractions, accessibility, promotional information), medium-is very important for amentias. The average value is the condition of moderate supply, meaning that it needs improvement because demand says the availability of the field is important to continue the potential of renewable energy as a tourist attraction. Environmental aspects that are very influential in sustainability, if the environment is good then the socio-culture improves and the economy increases.
