The analysis was computerized using SPSS version 22 for windows . The sampling technique that is all Post Partum Mothers with healthy babies born at the time of this study. From this test results obtained x2 = 0,033 with P value = 0,000 (PR <0.05) which means that there is a significant relationship between knowledge of pregnant women about IMD with breastfeeding in the delivery room of the Karel Sadsutubun Langgur Regional General Hospital. There is a significant (significant) relationship between mother's knowledge about IMD and breastfeeding in the Midwifery Room of the Karel Sadsutubun Langgur Regional General Hospital. IMD and ASI are very important because the first milk drups after childbirth called colostrum contain high antibodies and good nutritional concantration, hygienis and economical.

Abstract

Hypertension is a world health issue that has been dubbed the silent killer disease. One of the factors that influence the incidence of hypertension is body weight. Body mass index is very influential on the incidence of hypertension, where excess body mass index can trigger the occurrence of hypertension risk factors that are higher than someone with a normal body mass index. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body mass index and blood pressure in patients with hypertension The research design used analytic with cross sectional approach. The sample in this study was some hypertensive patients who visited the cardiac polyclinic of Husada Utama Hospital Surabaya during June-July 2022 who met the research criteria as many as 85 respondents. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling approach. The dependent variable in this study was body mass index. The independent variable in this study was blood pressure. The data collection instruments used in this study were questionnaire sheets and observation sheets. Test data analysis using the Spearman Rho rank test. From the results of the Spearman Rho rank correlation test, the value of sig (2-tailed) is 0.000 < (0.05), so the research hypothesis is accepted which means that there is a relationship between body mass index and blood pressure in patients with hypertension at the Cardiology Clinic of Husada Utama Hospital Surabaya with correlation strength in the strong category (0.629). Proper management of body mass index will prevent a person from the risk of an increase in blood pressure and avoid the risk of non-communicable diseases

Abstract

Background: Mean arterial pressure (MAP) in the context of hypertension was important in understanding the impact of high blood pressure on the elderly. Several pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies are expected to help reduce MAP values in the elderly with hypertension. Soursop leaf tea, rich in antioxidants and potassium, is one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can lower blood pressure in people with hypertension. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving soursop leaf tea on reducing MAP (Mean Arterial Pressure) values in elderly people with hypertension in Simongagrok Village, Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto Regency. Methods: This study used a Pre-Experiment design using the (One-Group Pretest-Posttest) approach. In this study, a population of 19 elderly people in Simongagrok Village was obtained with a sample size of 15 respondents using the Quota Sampling technique. The instruments in this study were a blood pressure meter, observation sheets, and soursop leaf tea. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Results: The results of the study before being given treatment showed that 13 respondents (86.7%) experienced hypertension in the category of Mild MAP Value. After being given treatment, 15 respondents experienced hypertension in the category of Normal MAP Value with a percentage of 100%. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, a significant value was obtained, namely p ≤ ???? 0.05, namely 0.001 <0.05, which means that ????1 is accepted, so there is an effect of giving soursop leaf tea on reducing MAP (Mean Arterial Pressure) values in elderly people with hypertension in Simongagrok Village, Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto Regency. Conclusion: Giving soursop leaf tea is expected to be one of the independent therapies for nurses in providing non-pharmacological therapy in reducing MAP values in elderly people with hypertension.

Abstract

Background: Dietary non-compliance remains a major challenge in the management of patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and contributes to poor glycemic control and disease complications. Social support–based interventions, such as self-help groups, have been increasingly recognized as effective strategies to improve self-management behaviors among patients with chronic diseases. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the effect of a self-help group intervention on dietary compliance among patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Methods: This study employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. A total of 60 patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who attended a primary health care center were selected using purposive sampling. Dietary compliance was measured using a structured questionnaire before and after the self-help group intervention. The intervention consisted of group education sessions, peer discussion, and mutual support activities. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: Before the intervention, the majority of participants (85.0%) were categorized as non-compliant with dietary recommendations. After the self-help group intervention, dietary compliance significantly increased, with 78.3% of participants categorized as compliant. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference in dietary compliance before and after the intervention (p = 0.000). Conclusion: The self-help group intervention significantly improved dietary compliance among patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. This approach can be considered an effective and feasible strategy for diabetes management education in primary health care settings.
