Abstract

The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model which is integrated with the Geographic Information System (GIS) can provide an overview or prediction of the influence of land management on watershed hydrology in accordance with the interests of evaluating and monitoring watershed management activities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the management of the Bukit Suligi Micro sub-watershed based on land use patterns, as a basis for determining the best recommendations for Forest and Land Rehabilitation activities by planting forestry trees based on community participation in Sei Kuning Village, Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The research method is processing primary and secondary data using a SWAT model integrated with GIS in analyzing hydrological characteristics in land use scenarios in the management of the Bukit Suligi Micro Watershed, as a basis for determining the best recommendations in Forest and Land Rehabilitation (RHL). community participation-based forestry tree planting activities in the Village. The best option in the land use scenario is the second scenario, which in its implementation in the field is the application of agroforestry to the existing Protected Forest Rehabilitation, only needing to insert forest plants based on community participation in Sei Kuning Village, Tandun District, Rokan Hulu Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the management of the Sei Tanduk Micro watershed based on land use patterns, as a basis for determining the best recommendations for planning and evaluating the Indragiri Rokan Watershed Management Project Activities for Fiscal Year 2003 by compiling a Master Plan for the Micro Sei Tanduk Watershed Master Plan Rumbio Village, Kampar Regency. The research method is to process primary and secondary data using a SWAT model that is integrated with GIS in analyzing hydrological characteristics in land use scenarios in the management of the Micro Sei Tanduk watershed, as a basis for providing recommendations. The best recommendation from the evaluation and analysis of the Micro Sei Tanduk watershed management based on land use patterns is scenario 2 in the form of applying agroforestry on mixed dry land agriculture with the insertion of forestry trees based on community participation in the Micro Sei Tanduk watershed, Rubio Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency.

Abstract

Mint plants are generally grown on a small scale and are found growing wild in mountainous areas and in damp and watery places. This plant is able to adapt to tropical climates so that it can be cultivated. The purpose of this article is to provide counseling on how to cultivate mint leaves and use them as a fresh and healthy health drink at SMP IT Khazanah Boarding School. The method used is to provide counseling and practice it directly, how to cultivate and utilize mint plants as a fresh drink. Planting mint can be done by cutting existing plants. The trick is to cut the stalk about 1 cm above the branching. Then, remove some of the leaves on the stalks and submerge them in a container. Mint leaves have a distinctive spicy taste, fresh scent and have various benefits for the body, such as refreshing breathing, calming digestion, boosting immunity, and others. As for how to use it as a fresh drink for health which is combined with several ingredients such as Mint leaves, Lemons or Lime that have been cleaned, Honey or Sugar, and Hot Water. Then the lemons are cut into thin strips, then honey is added and the boiling hot water is poured into the container, then the mint leaves are dipped, and let stand for a moment so that the mint and lemon flavors are stronger then they can be served and drunk in warm conditions. The results obtained were that the teachers and students were very enthusiastic about participating in the community service activities carried out by the Riau University lecturer team from start to finish and almost all participants were excited to try planting, making drinks and enjoying fresh drinks from mint leaves.

Abstract

Physical and mechanical properties of asphalt have been improved by adding of few-layers graphene (FLG). FLG was obtained from a simple, low-cost and environmentally friendly liquid shear exfoliation method using a kitchen blender. The melted asphalt at temperature of 150oC was mixed with FLG at various concentrations (10 mg/ml, 20 mg/ml and 30 mg/ml) and contents (0 wt%, 3 wt%, 6 wt%, and 9 wt%) by weight of asphalt. The homogenized mixture was taken for penetration and softening point tests, while the mixing with aggregates was carried out for Marshall stability and asphalt concrete flow tests. The characteristics of void in mixture (VIM), void filled with asphalt (VFA), and void in mineral aggregate (VMA) were also investigated. The penetration values decreased (or the asphalt hardness increased) linearly with increasing of FLG concentration and FLG content. The softening point of asphalt increased as the increasing of FLG concentration and FLG content in asphalt with the average softening point increase of about 5%. The Marshall stability and asphalt concrete flow increased with increasing of FLG concentrations and FLG content. However, the addition of FLG did not affect the VIM, VFA or VMA values. Overall, the addition of FLG improves the physical and mechanical properties of asphalt and has promising prospects due to low-cost and eco-friendly nature of FLG.

Abstract

Clay in nature consist of a mixture of grains and minerals with or without the content of organic matter. The variation in the size of clay grains and the proportion of their distribution is a very useful indicator for knowing soil behavior. Testing the combination of fine sand - clay (FSC) using clay from Kulim Pekanbaru and fine sand from Teratak Buluh Riau. Variants of the percentage of FSC are carried out with the types of tests carried out are Standard Proctor Test, Unconfined Compressive strength test, Direct Shear Test and sieve analysis test and hydrometer. Increasing the percentage of clay in the FSC variant, increases the liquid limit, increasses the plastic limit and increases the plasticity index. Increases optimum moisture content, decreases maximum dry density and increases soil friction angle and decreases compressive strength

Abstract

Jalan di Desa Aursati memiliki panjang jalan 4000 m dan lebar jalan 5 meter yang digunakan sebagai prasarana transportasi darat untuk menghubungkan satu tempat ke tempat lain untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Kondisi jalan yang baik digambarkan dengan tidak adanya kerusakan jalan. Seiring berkembangnya teknologi, pemetaan kerusakan jalan dapat dilakukan menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (GIS) untuk memperoleh informasi data yang lebih informatif dalam waktu singkat, efisien, serta memiliki tingkat akurasi yang tinggi. Tujuan dilakukan kegiatan PKM adalah untuk membuat pemetaan kerusakan jalan dengan SIG di Desa Aursati Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau. Tahapan pelaksana kegiatan PKM ini meliputi administrasi desa, Metode Participatory Action Research (PAR), tahapan persiapan alat dan bahan untuk kegiatan survey lapangan, pengolahan data dan pembuatan peta menggunakan aplikasi ArcGIS, dan sosialisasi dari hasil kegiatan. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini adalah pemetaan yang memberikan informasi kondisi jalan dalam keadaan baik berdasarkan simbol lingkaran warna hijau, sedangkan  kondisi sedang diberikan simbol lingkaran warna merah yang terdapat pada 4 titik. Lokasi luas retak dari panjang keseluruhan jalan yang di ukur mulai STA 02+000 – STA 04+000 adalah 81,83%, Rata-rata lebar retak 74 mm, Jumlah lubang 35 buah kerusakan dan rata-rata kedalaman rutting/bekas roda tidak terdapat kerusakan bekas roda.

Abstract

Kebutuhan material modern memerlukan komponen struktural dengan ketahanan dan kekuatan yang lebih baik. Informasi karakteristik beton lanjutan ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan variasi few layer graphene dengan metode high-shear liquid exfoliation pada campuran beton. Preliminary penelitian pada mortal dilakukan dengan variasi graphene 2,5%; 5%; 7,5%; 10%; 12,5% dan 15% sebagai referensi awal dan hipotesa. Selanjutnya dengan referensi awal, dilakukan campuran beton dengan variasi graphene 2.5%, 5%, 7,5% dan 10% dengan spesimen beton ukuran 15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm dan pengujian dilakukan setelah usia usia 28 hari. Kuat tekan maksimum terjadi pada penambahan graphene 5%, nilai kuat tekan lebih 36,31% dibandingkan beton tanpa graphene, nanomicro graphene tidak mempengaruhi berat isi beton juga tidak mempengaruhi kepadatan beton serta tidak mempengaruhi slump beton.

Abstract

Abstracts This research aims to explore the implementation of restoring character education system based on Al-Qur'an in SMAIT Nurul Fajri as an effort to actualize the advancement of civilization. SMAIT Nurul Fajri emerges by providing a strong foundation of Islamic teachings in realizing a civil society in the "post-modern" era. Character education based on Al-Qur'an in SMAIT Nurul Fajri is considered as the main instrument in shaping a generation with noble and responsible morals in accordance with Islamic teachings. Qualitative research method was utilized with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results show that SMAIT Nurul Fajri has successfully integrated the values of Al-Qur'an into the academic curriculum and school activities. Various teaching methods, including problem-based learning and group discussions, are employed to convey the values of Al-Qur'an to students. Additionally, extracurricular activities with religious orientations, such as religious studies and Islamic literature discussions, also become an integral part of character education in SMAIT Nurul Fajri. In the context of the school environment, character development efforts are carried out through special programs that emphasize the importance of attitudes and behaviors in accordance with Islamic teachings. Teachers and school staff serve as role models who inspire students to practice the values of Al-Qur'an in their daily lives. However, the research also identifies several challenges, including the need for a deeper understanding of Al-Qur'an among educators and resource limitations. Nevertheless, the conclusion of this research asserts that SMAIT Nurul Fajri has successfully become a model in restoring the character education system based on Al-Qur'an. The implications of this research provide valuable insights for Islamic educational institutions in developing character education rooted in the values of Al-Qur'an as an integral part of advancing civilization.Keywords: Restoration, Character Education System, Al-Qur'an, Civilization Advancement AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi restorasi sistem pendidikan karakter berbasis Al-Qur'an di SMAIT Nurul Fajri sebagai upaya aktualisasi kemajuan peradaban. SMAIT Nurul Fajri hadir dengan memberikan fondamen ajaran Islam yang kuat dalam mewujudkan Masyarakat madani di abad “post modern”. Pendidikan karakter berbasis Al-Qur'an di SMAIT Nurul Fajri dianggap sebagai sarana utama dalam membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia dan bertanggung jawab sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMAIT Nurul Fajri telah berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an dalam kurikulum akademik dan kegiatan sekolah. Berbagai metode pembelajaran, termasuk pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan diskusi kelompok, digunakan untuk menyampaikan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an kepada siswa. Selain itu, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang berorientasi keagamaan, seperti pengajian dan kajian kitab kuning, juga menjadi bagian integral dari pendidikan karakter di SMAIT Nurul Fajri. Dalam konteks lingkungan sekolah, upaya pembinaan karakter dilakukan melalui program-program khusus yang menekankan pentingnya sikap dan perilaku yang sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Guru dan staf sekolah berperan sebagai teladan yang menginspirasi siswa untuk mengamalkan nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mereka.Meskipun demikian, penelitian juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi, termasuk pemahaman yang mendalam tentang Al-Qur'an dari para pendidik dan keterbatasan sumber daya. Namun, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa SMAIT Nurul Fajri telah berhasil menjadi model dalam restorasi sistem pendidikan karakter berbasis Al-Qur'an. Implikasi dari penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam dalam mengembangkan pendidikan karakter yang berakar pada nilai-nilai Al-Qur'an sebagai bagian integral dari aktualisasi kemajuan peradaban.Kata Kunci : Restorasi, Sistem Pendidikan Karakter, Al-Qur’an, Aktualisasi Kemajuan Peradaban

Abstract

The environment in coastal communities in Sabang City Beach is often contaminated by scattered waste. Potential causes include the habit of people throwing household waste on the beach or waste from other areas carried by sea currents. However, maintaining environmental cleanliness and health must be a top priority for coastal communities. This is not only important for their survival, but also for all marine life around the beach. The purpose of this article is to illustrate that community service activities can change people's views on the cleanliness of the coastal environment and household waste management. The activity method includes systematic planning, implementation, and follow-up reporting. In an effort to change people's views, community service activities produce educational media in the form of leaflets, aimed at providing a deep understanding of environmental cleanliness and waste management. Direct socialization is carried out to the community around the beach, providing broad knowledge about beach cleanliness and household waste management. The results of this activity include changes in people's views on the cleanliness of the coastal environment, as seen from increased understanding and awareness. Educational media in the form of leaflets is an effective tool for conveying information about the cleanliness of the coastal environment that is easily understood by the community. Socialization to the community around the Sabang City beach makes a positive contribution to the cleanliness of the coastal environment and effective household waste management.

Abstract

Penerapan Program Desa Open Defication Free (ODF) ODF menjadi sebuah pendekatan dalam bidang kesehatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan  kualitas hidup masyarakat serta mencapai sanitasi  yang lebih  baik Program desa ODF untuk mewujudkan lingkungan sehat dalam mencegah penyakit menular. Dukungan peran kader desa sangat penting untuk percepatan peningkatan jumlah masyarakat yang mempunyai jamban sehat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan peran kader desa berhubungan dengan penerapan desa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional, Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner, Uji Reliabilitas Menggunakan Cronbach's Alpha untuk menguji konsistensi internal masing-masing subskala (pengetahuan, sikap, dan kepatuhan). Melibatkan 64 desa sebagai sampel. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisa univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara peran kader  (P-Value=0,141) dengan penerapan desa ODF. Diharapkan kepada kader desa untuk bisa lebih fokus dalam meningkatkan peran dan kompetensi melalui program pelatihan dan workshop yang berfokus pada teknik edukasi masyarakat  dan  pengelolaan  sanitasi  yang efektif.
