Abstract

The election of village heads is an integral part of the democratic process at the local level. However, there are often challenges in the vote-counting process that can impede the smooth implementation of village head elections. This article proposes designing a web-based Real Count information system for village head elections in the Tanah Sepenggal Lintas District. The main issue identified is the delay in vote counting, affecting the speed of the official announcement of results by the General Election Commission (KPU). The research methodology includes problem identification, analysis, goal setting, literature review, data collection, system analysis, system design, testing, and implementation. The resulting system aims to expedite and enhance the accuracy of vote counting using web-based technology, notably PHP and MySQL. This approach is expected to address traditional challenges in vote counting and provide quick and efficient information on the results of village head elections. The research findings indicate that the designed Real Count information system successfully improves the efficiency of vote counting, reduces the waiting time for official announcements, and provides transparent information on election results. Implementing this system is expected to positively enhance the integrity and speed of village head elections at the local level.

Abstract

The process of determining the best lecturers must comply with predetermined criteria. To assist in selecting a person who deserves to be the best lecturer, a decision support system is needed. One method that can be used for a decision support sys tem is using the Weighted Product (WP) method by considering the criteria and weights. This method was chosen because it is able to choose the best alternative, namely the best lecturer based on the criteria entered, then look for the weight value of eac h attribute, after the process of looking for rankings to get the best alternative, namely the best lecturer. The WP method is used in determining the best alternative or the order of importance of alternatives. The results of this study are a web -based system developed using sublime text that can be used by admins to manage lecturer data, criteria and alternatives. Abstract

This study aims to use PROMETHEE method as a decision support system in determining the recipients of the Academic Achievement Improvement Scholarship at Universitas Dharmas Indonesia (UNDHARI). The methodological steps include problem identification, analysis, goal setting, and the application of PROMETHEE method. In this study, the criteria and alternatives have been identified to evaluate the scholarship recipients. The criteria weights are set, and the criteria preference types are determined. After obtaining the baseline data from the questionnaire assessments, pairwise preference values and multicriteria preference index values are calculated. Then, the rankings are compiled using Leaving Flow, Entering Flow, and Net Flow methods, resulting in the priority order of the scholarship recipients. The ranking results show that alternative 3 (IS) has the highest Net Flow value (0.30), while alternative 2 (AV) has the lowest Net Flow value (-0.35). Thus, the priority order from highest to lowest is IS, AV, RD, YM, and AV. In the context of Net Flow scores, these results indicate that alternative 3 (IS) has the greatest chance of receiving the academic achievement improvement scholarship. This study provides important insights for UNDHARI in the scholarship recipient determination process using the PROMETHEE method as a decision-making tool.

Abstract

Image media is one of the effective media to use in learning because it can attract students' attention in learning. For this reason, it is necessary to apply a learning model that uses image media as its main support, including the picture and picture cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the picture and picture cooperative learning model. The method used is a literature study that collects several references from previous studies. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analysis. Sources of data in this study came from several main references, namely fifteen scientific papers. The results of the analysis show that the picture and picture cooperative learning model can improve learning outcomes, activeness, and student learning motivation. The results of this study are an initial study in the development of electronic learning media based on the Picture and Picture Type Cooperative learning model, so that learning is meaningful for students and according to student needs.

Abstract

Background: Impacted teeth, hindered from erupting normally due to space constraints, obstruction by neighboring teeth, or an abnormal eruption pathway, often necessitate surgical intervention known as odontectomy. Silk sutures are commonly used in this procedure, yet they may serve as sites for bacterial colonization, potentially leading to infection. Following odontectomy, antibiotics are typically prescribed. Purpose: This study aims to identify the bacterial profile adhering to silk sutures and analyze antibiotic sensitivity patterns in patients undergoing odontectomy. Methods: A descriptive study employing consecutive sampling of patients after odontectomy was conducted between May and November 2021 at Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Riau Province, Indonesia. Sutures were removed within 14 days of surgery, after which the silk was identified and subjected to antibiotic sensitivity testing using the Kirby–Bauer method. Results: Of the bacteria detected in the silk sutures, 53.7% were Gram positive, including Streptococcus sp. (33.3%) and Staphylococcus aureus (13%), and 46.3% were Gram negative, such as Enterobacter sp. (20.4%) and Klebsiella sp. (16.7%). Among the multi-resistant strains, methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) accounted for 57.1%. The Gram-positive bacteria exhibited the highest sensitivity to levofloxacin, whereas the Gram-negative bacteria showed sensitivity to ceftazidime, levofloxacin, and meropenem. Conclusion: The most dominant Gram-positive bacteria were Streptococcus sp. and S. aureus, whereas the most dominant Gram-negative bacteria were Enterobacter sp. and Klebsiella sp. Levofloxacin, ceftazidime, and meropenem emerged as the most effective antibiotics following odontectomy. Multidrug-resistant bacteria, exemplified by MRSA, were identified within the oral cavity.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Holistic Mathematics Education (HME) model based on the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, specifically designed for upper-grade elementary school students. The study adopts the Plomp development design, which consists of three main phases: (1) the Preliminary Phase, aimed at collecting empirical data to determine the characteristics of the model to be developed; (2) the Development Phase, aimed at designing and developing a valid and practical HME model based on the RME approach through a series of formative evaluations; and (3) the Assessment Phase, aimed at measuring the model's effectiveness in improving conceptual understanding, learning motivation, and students' character values. However, this research focuses solely on the design phase, producing outputs such as a model book, a teacher's guidebook, and a student's guidebook. The research instruments include validation sheets for both the instruments and the products, which were reviewed by experts to ensure their validity and reliability. This validation process ensures that the developed products have a strong theoretical foundation and are practically applicable in teaching mathematics at the upper elementary school level. The findings indicate that the developed products meet the criteria for validity and can thus be used for upper-grade elementary students. In subsequent stages, this model will be implemented with upper-grade students to assess its practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

In the world of education, the figure of a qualified educator is needed. The main task of the teacher is to teach, educate, guide, direct, train, assess, and evaluate students. In order to improve the quality of education, it is necessary to have a form of appreciation so that the quality of a teacher is even better. The form of appreciation for the teacher is applied by selecting outstanding teachers. The problem is that the selection process for outstanding teachers is still subjective. Because it is only based on the personal opinion of each teacher and is not based on certain criteria. The method used in this study is the Simple Additeve Weighting (SAW) method, often known as the weighted addition method. To avoid the subjectivity of the resulting decisions, a decision support system (DSS) is needed that can help assess teacher performance in deciding to become an outstanding teacher.

Abstract

Ladang Padi Surian memiliki potensi ekonomi melalui pengolahan bawang merah menjadi bawang goreng, namun pengembangan usaha terkendala strategi pemasaran tradisional yang terbatas. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku usaha mikro dalam pemasaran digital melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan, mencakup penggunaan media sosial dan platform e-commerce seperti Shopee. Hasil program menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman mitra terhadap pemasaran digital, yang berdampak pada perluasan jangkauan pasar dan potensi peningkatan penjualan. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan pengalaman praktis bagi mahasiswa dalam program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Program ini diharapkan mampu berkontribusi pada peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat Ladang Padi Surian dan wilayah Sumatera Barat secara luas.

Abstract

Based on a preliminary study conducted at the Elementary Schools (SD) in Pantai Cermin Subdistrict, Solok Regency, it was found that the independent curriculum is being implemented independently because there is no primary school in Pantai Cermin Subdistrict serving as a leading school. Therefore, the implementation is still not optimal, especially in the development of differentiated teaching modules and differentiated teaching practices. The development of technology-based learning media, which supports the implementation of teaching, has also not been fully utilized, even though we cannot escape from technology in today's world. Hence, there is a need for assistance in the development of differentiated teaching modules, focusing on the subject of mathematics in elementary schools, and the utilization of technology as a learning resource in SD. This community service project will be conducted at SDN 06 Ladang Padi Surian in Pantai Cermin Subdistrict, Solok Regency. The approach used will be mentoring provided to the teachers at SDN 06 Ladang Padi. Through this mentoring, it is expected that teachers will be able to independently develop teaching modules and utilize technology as a learning resource, making the learning process meaningful and aligned with the characteristics of the students. The outcome of this mentoring program will be the creation of differentiated mathematics teaching modules and technology-based learning media, which can serve as guidelines for classroom instruction for teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the selection of the best quality Nile tilapia seeds using a Decision Support System (DSS) with the Weighted Product (WP) method at Tambak Nagari. The research employed two approaches: manual calculations and a system based on Visual Basic.NET. The results showed that the Visual Basic.NET-based system significantly facilitates decision-making, accelerates the process, and minimizes human error compared to manual methods. This system enables users to easily identify the best Nile tilapia seeds based on criteria such as growth rate, disease resistance, and feed efficiency. However, the system requires regular updates to enhance its reliability and flexibility, particularly in handling large-scale data and adding new criteria. The integration of this technology makes the seed selection process more efficient and objective, supporting the sustainability of Nila Fish farming and marking an important step toward digital transformation in the fisheries sector.
