Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji untuk melakukan kajian terhadap analisis penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative learning pada anak usia dini KB/TK Insan Kamil Gadang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan di kelompok B3 KB/TK Insan Kamil Gadang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang difokuskan pada anak B3 yang berjumlah 16 orang yang terdiri dari 5 orang laki-laki dan 11 orang perempuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian guru sudah menerapkan model pembelajaran cooperative learning pada anak usia dini dalam pembelajaran sehari-hari. Dari prosedur penjelasan materi, belajar dalam kelompok, penilaian dan pengakuan tim yang ada di model pembelajaran cooperative learning. Analisis model pembelajaran cooperative learning memerlukan kerja sama antara guru dan peserta didik, guru berperan sebagai fasilitator dalam hal penyediaan media pembelajaran, penataan ruangan kelas, sikap atau cara membuat anak dapat bekerja sama dalam kelompoknya serta sebagai pengawas ketika anak melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran. Sedangkan peran anak adalah sebagai pelaku dalam melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

To have good acquisition and awareness in reading, the learners need a long and continuous process, and therefore, they are required to have autonomy in learning reading. This study aims to promote learner autonomy in reading class by combining learner-centered reading teaching and extensive reading teaching. Learner-centered reading teaching was carried out through group discussion, presentation, and language awareness activities. Meanwhile, extensive reading teaching was done to review the learners‘ materials in presentation and reinforce their acquisition. Those two different approaches were applied due to differences on learner's characteristics and needs. The result showed some success in the practice of autonomy, indicated by changes on learners' attitude. However, many learners showed that they focused more on obtaining score than on developing their language acquisition. By implementing the approach, the teacher can assist learners to be aware of their ability to learn independently and equip them with the skill needed for long-life learning.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementing a scaffolding strategy within the Quizizz web platform to enhance reading skills among university students and to determine whether there is a significant difference between students taught with and without the scaffolding strategy, both using Quizizz. The research utilized a quasi-experimental design and was conducted at Universitas PGRI Kanjuruhan Malang, targeting second-semester reading classes. The sample consisted of 36 students, evenly divided into an experimental group and a control group, each comprising 18 students. Data were collected using pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using an independent t-test. The findings reveal a significant improvement in the reading skills of the experimental group compared to the control group, as indicated by higher post-test mean scores (86.1 vs. 72.2). The hypothesis testing via the independent sample t-test yielded a significant value of 0.001, which is below the threshold of 0.05, confirming the statistical significance of the results. The study concludes that the scaffolding strategy is effective in enhancing students' reading skills, making it easier for them to read quickly and comprehend text. The researchers suggest that applying scaffolding strategies in educational tools like Quizizz can provide substantial benefits to learners.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the quality of learning in KKG Gugus 1 Ngajum through the implementation of the Whole-Brain Teaching (WBT) innovation tailored to the needs of PAUD teachers. The activity began with a socialization session involving 30 out of 40 PAUD teachers in the region, focusing on introducing the concept of WBT as an interactive teaching approach that engages the whole brain of students. Following this, intensive training was conducted with hands-on methods, where teachers learned WBT techniques and developed lesson models that were relevant to local needs. Additionally, interactive learning technology was introduced to support the implementation of WBT in classrooms. Ongoing mentoring and periodic evaluations were carried out to ensure effective application of the method. The results of this program showed a significant improvement in student engagement and learning quality, with teachers successfully implementing WBT. Five WBT models developed during the training were compiled into a book that has been assigned an ISBN as an outcome of the community service. This program has made a positive contribution to improving teacher competencies and the quality of PAUD education, with the potential for broader application in other regions.

Abstract

The role of the madrasah principal in Islamic educational institutions is very important in managing various expected goals and targets. As the highest leader, the madrasah principal has a standard of eligibility within himself to succeed in various constructive policies in education. This study aims to analyze the role of the madrasah principal in managing educational institutions, both within the school and externally. The researcher used qualitative research with the type of literature study from various sources, including books, journals, academic research results, and other reports. The study results indicate that the madrasah principal must have four main roles in developing Islamic education, namely as an administrator, as supervisor, as curriculum and human resource manager, and as manager of facilities and infrastructure and information technology. For this reason, this study can be used as an important reference in understanding the role of Islamic leadership through madrasah education.

Abstract

Melalui jalan tanjakan dengan kemiringan tinggi memiliki resiko kecelakaan akibat salah perhitungan oleh pengemudi. Maka dari itu pendeteksian batas kecepatan untuk melalui nya adalah solusi. Dengan menggunakan logika fuzzy, tentu dapat memprediksi berapa kecepatan yang harus digunakan. Untuk pendeteksi kemiringannya digunakan gyroscope dan pendeteksi kecepatan yang sedang digunakan menggunakan sensor GPS. Untuk fuzzy inference system nya sendiri menggunakan metode Takagi Sugeno – Kang dengan keluaran yang linear dan konstan. Kemudian untuk komparasi system menggunakan MATLAB agar error system dapat ditekan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah system pendeteksi kecepatan menanjak yang minim error dan presisi.

Abstract

The increasing reliance on virtual learning in higher education has supported the development of flexible and accessible learning environments, yet it may also heighten anxiety among students, particularly those studying English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Although virtual learning tools offer significant advantages, research on their psychological impact remains limited, highlighting a gap between technological advancements and understanding of their effects on student well-being. This study examines the relationship between virtual learning and student anxiety, exploring the strategies students use to manage this challenge. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with 22 English-major undergraduates. Findings indicate that students often experience anxiety due to technological distractions and comprehension difficulties in virtual classrooms. However, students mitigate this anxiety by adopting positive thinking and engaging in relaxing activities. These insights underscore the need for supportive virtual learning environments that prioritize students' emotional well-being alongside academic outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract. For mentally retarded children, a structured and careful teaching method is needed to facilitate students’ understanding of learning English vocabulary. This study aims to: (1). Describe the application of a scientific approach to English vocabulary subjects; (2). Describe the obstacles to applying a scientific approach to learning English vocabulary for mentally retarded children; (3). Describe the benefits of applying a scientific approach to learning English vocabulary for mentally retarded children. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The subject in this study was 3 teachers with 5 students for each of class VII of State Special Needs Junior High School Pembina . Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is done by organizing the data, breaking it down into units, synthesizing it, arranging it into a pattern, choosing what is important and what  be studied, and making conclusions that can be told to others. The results shows that many benefits for both teachers and students, especially for mentally retarded students, including improving students' thinking skills, making it easier for students to understand the learning materials taught by teachers, and being more meaningful for students and this approach has obstacles and shortcomings when applied to mentally retarded children in a different class and should be simplified and adapted to the abilities of these students. The findings of this study highlight the importance of adapting teaching methods to better meet the needs of mentally retarded children, which can lead to more inclusive and effective educational practices. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of collaborative writing methods in improving creativity and engagement in writing descriptive texts at SMP Negeri 5 Kepanjen. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Research data were collected through observation, interview and documentation activities. The collected data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively using an interactive data analysis model. The data from the research were re-tested for validity using triangulation. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the collaborative writing method in descriptive text learning increased As evidenced by the results of observations and interviews on student responses showed that collaborative writing can improve their creativity and engagement. This study highlights the potential of Collaborative Writing as a means to improve student creativity and engagement in descriptive text learning in junior high schools.

Abstract

Berdasarkan observasi ditemukan di bidang pendidikan masih terdapat kekurangan di Dusun Segelan Desa Balesari Kecamatan Ngajum Kabupaten Malang, Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKN-T) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi dan pemahaman bahasa Inggris, khususnya di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Balesari 05. Karena sebagai pelajaran tambahan, pelatihan diberikan pada akhir pekan di hari Sabtu dan Minggu. Setelah ditawarkan ke kelas 1 sampai kelas 6, terdata hanya kelas 4, 5, dan 6 yang bersedia mengikuti yaitu sebanyak 15 dari total 28 peserta didik. Pembelajaran diberikan berbasis teknologi kuis gamifikasi menggunakan aplikasi Quiziz secara daring mencakup ejaan, pelafalan, kosa kata, tata bahasa, penulisan, kata ganti dan menulis kalimat. Setelah dilakukan 5 kali pertemuan, para peserta telah mulai terbiasa memahami teori dan mengaplikasikannya dalam menjawab kuis di Quiziz baik pada saat awal bersama-sama menggunakan laptop, lalu secara individu menggunakan handphone pribadi untuk menjawab bahkan berkompetisi dalam mendapatkan nilai tertinggi yang diperoleh dari Quiziz. Dapat disimpulkan KKN-T ini telah berjalan dengan baik dan sukses, terlihat dari tingginya motivasi, antusiasme dan kondisi menyenangkan selama mengikuti pelatihan.
