Abstract

The aim of this program is to foster the School Literacy Movement which is held independently by schools through The Literacy Fair. The method used is a participatory approach involving foster parents (teachers), students, and student guardians. The stages include (1) pre-production which includes assisting foster parents as facilitators and assisting children as subjects of children's book manuscript writers, (2) production which includes assisting in determining creative ideas, assisting in drafting essays, assisting in writing children's book manuscripts, assisting in manuscript revision children's books, assistance with layout layout for children's books, assistance with designing children's book covers, and assistance with trial printing of children's books, (3) post-production which includes assistance with ISBN registration for children's books and assistance with the final printing of children's books. As a result, this five-month literacy training succeeded in publishing seven books with ISBNs including one collection of works by children in playgroups and kindergartens, one collection of works by 1st grade elementary school children, one collection of works by 2nd grade elementary school children, one collection of works by 3th grade elementary school children, one collection of works by 4th grade elementary school children, one collection of works by 5th grade elementary school children, and one collection of works by 6th grade elementary school children. Recommendations for the implementation of this kind of literacy assistance program need to be carried out for six months so that the timeline is not too busy. In addition, the choice of words and the length of sentences in children's books must be adjusted according to the level. In terms of involving students, it needs to be done in layers, namely final year students (III) and intermediate level students (II) to create collaboration and realize regeneration.

Abstract

Publishing is one of the creative industry sub-sectors that continues to grow in Indonesia. This research was carried out as a form of implementing digital publishing knowledge and digital marketing communication knowledge in the Publishing Study Program at Polimedia. The purpose of this research is to explain the creation of a digital catalogue that functions as an archive or database of the works of Publishing Study Program students, and as a promotional medium to a wider audience, as well as a capital for future entrepreneurial practices. The method used is qualitative-descriptive research with data collection techniques through literature/document studies, observation, and interviews. In practice, the research team carried out four stages of work, namely: (1) planning the concept of a website and digital catalogue, (2) compiling data and creating a manual catalogue, (3) compiling website content and website design, and (4) data integration (catalogue) to the website. The results obtained from this applied research are the establishment of a website http://katalog-bukupolimedia.my.id as a digital catalog of works by the Publishing Study Program students at Polimedia.

Abstract

Pendidikan SD selama enam tahun membutuhkan waktu belajar yang paling lama jika dibandingkan jenjang SMP dan SMA. Maka tak heran, masa SD menyimpan banyak kenangan yang tak terlupakan. Mitra PKM ini adalah siswa kelas 6B SDI Ghama Junior. Masalah di mitra PKM ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan menulis siswa. Untuk itu, tujuan PKM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa kelas 6B SDI Ghama Junior dengan pendampingan penulisan buku kenangan dengan teknik narasi. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, kami merujuk pada teori-teori penulisan cerita dengan narasi, dan penulisan cerita berdasarkan gambar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendampingan, artinya kami memberikan arahan dan panduan kepada para siswa untuk menulis cerita kenangan masa SD mereka. Pendampingan ini melibatkan guru wali kelas dan orang tua/wali siswa. Pada pelaksanaannya, PKM ini telah dilaksanakan melalui lima tahap, yaitu (1) Persiapan; (2) Pembuatan modul penulisan cerita dengan teknik narasi; (3) Penyampaian materi dan pengumpulan bahan tulisan; (4) Pendampingan penulisan, dan (5) Evaluasi dan pelaporan. Melalui, kelima tahapan tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa dengan teknik narasi, siswa dapat menuliskan cerita mereka, sebagaimana terlihat dalam draf naskah “Buku Cerita Kita: Kenang-Kenangan Kelas 6B SDI Ghama Junior”.

Abstract

Era pemasaran digital sudah berkembang pesat sehingga membuat Warga RW 04 Beji merasa harus mengikuti perkembangan jaman dalam memasarkan produknya. Warga RW 04 Beji banyak yang bekerja sebagai pengusaha kecil disekitar rumah. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk melakukan pendampingan kepada warga RW 04 Beji Depok dalam mengoperasikan Canva melalui gadget sederhana sehingga warga bisa membuat pemasaran digital dan branding terhadap produknya masing-masing dengan mudah agar menjangkau pemasaran ke ranah digital. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah para warga RW 04 Beji merasa terbantu dengan pendampingan Canva sehingga mereka bisa memasarkan produknya melalui social media dan sanggup mendesain sendiri sesuai keinginan

Abstract

ABSTRACT In 2024, the Photography Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif will be 14 years old. This study program has produced hundreds of skilled photographer alumni who work in the creative industry. Every year, students hold a number of exhibitions to actualize their works. One of them is an exhibition of photos by female students called the Women's Exhibition. This article aims to explain how a photobook becomes a medium of representation of female student photography. The references used are several previous studies with the same focus on discussion. The method used is qualitative descriptive, with a photo curation technique from the results of the Women's Exhibition. Various interpretations on women are embodied in dozens of photo works which are then compiled into a photobook entitled Female Perspectives, which has six categories, namely (1) female beauty perspectives, (2) female food perspectives, (3) female profession perspectives, (4) female traveling perspectives, (5) female sport and healthy perspectives, and (6) female lifestyle perspectives. With the publication of this photobook, female students can represent their opinions on today's women in the form of a photobook, so that they can get their artistic value and economic value.Keywords: women's perspectives, photobook, representation, student work ABSTRAKTahun 2024, Prodi Fotografi di Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif genap berusia 14 tahun. Prodi ini telah mencetak ratusan alumni fotografer terampil yang berkarya di bidang industri kreatif. Setiap tahunnya, mahasiswa menggelar sejumlah pameran untuk mengaktualisasikan karya-karya mereka. Salah satunya adalah pameran foto karya mahasiswa perempuan yang diberi nama Pameran Perempuan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana photobook menjadi media representasi karya foto mahasiswa perempuan. Referensi yang digunakan adalah beberapa penelitian terdahulu dengan fokus pembahasan yang sama. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik kurasi foto dari hasil Pameran Perempuan. Berbagai pandangan tentang perempuan diwujudkan dalam puluhan karya foto yang kemudian disusun menjadi sebuah photobook yang berjudul Female Perspectives, yang memiliki enam kategori, yaitu (1) female beauty perspectives, (2) female food perspectives, (3) female profession perspectives, (4) female travelling perspectives, (5) female sport and healthy perspectives, and (6) female lifestyle perspectives. Dengan diterbitkannya photobook ini, mahasiswa perempuan dapat merepresentasikan pandangan mereka tentang perempuan masa kini dalam bentuk photobook, sehingga didapat nilai seni dan nilai ekonomisnya. Kata kunci: pandangan perempuan, photobook, representasi, karya mahasiswa

Abstract

This study does a meta-analysis of three study programs to examine the applicability of the various strategies and methodologies suggested in this research project related vocabulary learning or lexical knowledge. The results demonstrated that the learners' lexical knowledge strategies encompassed cognitive, metacognitive, social, willpower, and memory techniques. Additionally, this study looked into the relationship between the background, circumstance, approach, context, and therapy using a vocabulary acquisition strategy. The findings indicated that while the instructors used particular teaching methods in accordance with their curricula and preferred distinct methods, the L2 beginners came from diverse backgrounds and situations. The study's findings suggest that in order to effectively encourage Instructors at STKIP Muhammadiyah Pagaralam should be well aware of the significance of employing proper techniques of teaching English (ELT) to new EFL students in order to develop their vocabulary.
