Abstract

The demands of the development are increasingly advanced with the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, of course, requires teachers to be proficient in mastering teacher competencies, not least in the use of learning media. But in the learning process there is still a lack of learning media. In addition to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, teachers are still limited in the preparation of administration and learning devices only. In the implementation of the learning process there are still many teachers who use the expository learning model. This is due to the low level of knowledge of SD Negeri Meteseh teachers in making innovations and learning media that implement scientific approaches. The low knowledge of teachers about learning media innovations has the effect of less motivated students in the learning process, especially 3-dimensional learning media. For this reason, the proposing team provided a solution in solving these problems, namely by planning a training program for the teachers of SD Negeri Meteseh in making Learning Media. Learning media in the form of Pop Up Book for elementary school teachers. The result of this activity is that most teachers have never received pop up book learning media training. The teachers gave a positive response to the activities carried out. Teacher creativity in making learning media in the form of pop-up books increases. With the pop-up book the teacher can provide real concepts in the form of 3D images to students at the elementary level. In addition, basic literacy especially in reading skills of elementary students also increases..

Abstract

This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) technique with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology through Google Scholar and Web of Scientific Journals Publish or Perish to investigate the relationship between students' critical thinking skills and self-efficacy through a review of 24 publications published between 2018 and 2025 in various journals. Based on the analysis findings, research on critical thinking skills and self-efficacy has been conducted extensively at different levels of education, with the majority (73%) performed in junior high schools. Furthermore, 62% of quantitative research is often used, and this research predominantly develops critical thinking skills. This dominance indicates that self-efficacy is generally considered a supporting variable rather than the primary focus of the topic, thereby opening opportunities for future research on broader subjects and methods.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan mengkaji dampak penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan STEM dan didukung media GeoGebra terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel (SPLSV) siswa kelas VIII. Desain quasi-experimental dengan pola pretest-posttest control group digunakan sebagai kerangka metodologis, melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Semarang sebagai populasi. Penetapan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling menghasilkan dua kelas: kelas VIII C sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas VIII A sebagai kelompok kontrol. Tes yang telah terverifikasi validitas dan reliabilitasnya menjadi instrumen pengumpulan data utama. Nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05) yang diperoleh dari uji hipotesis mengindikasikan perbedaan kemampuan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok, dengan rata-rata posttest kelompok eksperimen (83,17) jauh melampaui kelompok kontrol (55,80). Perhitungan Cohen's d menghasilkan kategori very large effect, yang mengonfirmasi kuatnya dampak praktis dari model pembelajaran ini. Kondisi awal berupa rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi SPLSV menjadi latar belakang yang mendorong penelitian ini dilaksanakan, sekaligus menegaskan urgensi penerapan model PBL terintegrasi STEM sebagai inovasi strategis di satuan pendidikan.
