Abstract

Newborns do not need any other intake besides breast milk, but not a few found postpartum mothers who give formula milk to their babies because milk production is little or not smooth, especially in the first days of life. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of oxytocin massage on breast milk production in postpartum mothers. This type of research was pre-experimental with the One Group Pre and Post Test Design. The population in this study were all postpartum mothers in June at the Nining Pelawati Clinic in 2019. The sample in this study was postpartum mothers with inclusion and exclusion criteria totaling 10 people. ASI production data is taken using a measuring cup which is then analyzed. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, the average postpartum maternal breast milk production before oxytocin massage was 9.90 while the mean postpartum maternal breast milk production after oxytocin massage was 13.50. There was a significant effect of oxytocin massage on milk production with p-value = 0.008 (p ≤ 0.05). It is recommended for health workers to be able to carry out oxytocin massage to increase milk production in postpartum mothers.

Abstract

Early Breastfeeding Initiation is the process of breastfeeding babies as soon as they are born and can not be postponed by weighing or measuring the baby. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Early Breastfeeding Initiation on uterine involution in postpartum mothers. This type of research is Quarsi Experimental Design with observation research. the population in this study were all postpartum mothers at Tutun Sehati Tanjung Morawa’s Clinic Deli Serdang Regency. Samples taken amounted to 10 people, used with observation techniques, which were divided into two groups, namely control (which was not given Early Breastfeeding Initiation) and intervention (given IMD).The result that the average Uterine Revolution in postpartum mothers who were controlled was 11.40 with a standard deviation of 0.54.while the intervention group performed by Early Breastfeeding Initiation was 9.20 with a standard deviation of 0.47. so there is an effect of Early Breastfeeding Initiation on uterine involution in postpartum mothers with a p-value = 0.003 (P <0.05), It is recommended that health workers do Early Breastfeeding Initiation to postpartum mothers to accelerate the decrease in uterine involution.

Abstract

Postpartum anemia is caused due to insufficient iron supplementation and excessive bleeding during or after delivery. The initial survey found that there were 5 mothers who had anemia. This study aims to determine the effect of mung bean juice on hemoglobin levels in postpartum mothers, by using quantitative research. The population in this study were all 12 postpartum mothers in the first week. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Data collection was done by using observation. The average Hb level before being given green bean juice was 12.74 gr / dL and after that was 12.75 gr / dL. The difference in mean Hb levels before and after giving green bean juice was 0.008 gr / dL. The results of statistical tests using paired sample t-test (CI: 95%) obtained ρ value of 0.972, so it can be concluded that there is no effect of mung bean juice on hemoglobin levels of postpartum mothers. For postpartum mothers to be more proactive in seeking information about anemia, as well as finding out the benefits of green bean juice.

Abstract

Pregnancy is something that is happy for husband and wife, but sometimes complaints arise during pregnancy, one of which is back pain. Back pain that occurs in the third trimester of pregnancy along with the enlargement of the uterus with the growth of the fetus, the center of gravity of the body is more inclined forward, so that pregnant women must adjust their position to maintain balance, as a result the body will pull the back so that it is more backward, the lower spine is more curved and shortened spinal muscles (Diah Galuh, 2017). This type of research used in the study is that Quasi- Experiment with design design One Group pretest posttest. The population of the research this isthe whole mother conceive that there are visits Antenatal care at the Clinic Juliana, Mechanical taking a sample of this is using purposive sampling as many as 18 people, before done Endorphins Massage is a total of 8 pregnant women (44.4%) experienced moderate pain scale and as many as 10 pregnant women (55.6%) experienced severe pain scale. Meanwhile, the frequency of back pain in pregnant women after this is done Endorphin Massage as many as 12 pregnant women (66.7%) experienced mild pain and as many as 6 pregnant women (33.3%) experienced moderate pain . Based on the results of analysts by using the test chi Square , obtained p-value ( 0.002), this means that there is the influence of Endorphins Massage to decrease the intensity of pain back mother pregnant at clinic Juliana

Abstract

Postpartum mothers are mothers in the postnatal period, postpartum mothers often experience psychological stress which usually occurs in the first week to the sixth week after delivery. Mother's psychological stress usually occurs due to hormonal factors, family support, new roles, busy taking care of babies and lack of knowledge. Breast milk is a very important source of nutrition to meet the needs of babies, one of the factors that affect breast milk production is psychological stress. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between psychological stress and breast milk production in postpartum breastfeeding mothers at the Wulandari Clinic, Medan. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlation research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling with 38 respondents. The measuring instrument in this study used a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test. The result of this study is that the p-value of 0.000 is smaller than a significant value of 0.05, so there is a relationship between psychological stress and milk production in breastfeeding mothers after childbirth at the Wulandari Clinic, Medan in 2021.

Abstract

Concurring to the World Health Organization (WHO) in (Fatimah 2020), that in creating nations the number of maternal passings amid pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium is still tall, in Indonesia in 2019 the maternal mortality rate is 305/100,000 live births. Around the world, information on the predominance ofpostpartum frailty are constrained. The predominance of iron deficiency in postpartum moms (Urban Puducherry, 2019) was 76.2% (n= 173, 95% Cl: 70.4%-81.4%). Abstract

Background: Dysmenorrhea is uterine discomfort caused by uterine contractions before and after menstruation. Dysmenorrhea is caused by excessive secretion of prostaglandins, which causes the uterus to enlarge and cause pain. Dysmenorrhea is characterized by abdominal pain, low back pain, nausea and vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, and even fainting. Dysmenorrhea can be treated with medications or non-drugs. Medication carries the risk that it may be unpopular. Its use to treat menstrual problems carries significantly lower risks than non-drug treatments. One way to reduce menstrual cramps is to apply heat. Objective: To explore the effect of warm compress therapy in relieving dysmenorrhea pain through literature review and provide empirical basis. Methods: This study is based on a comprehensive national and international literature review conducted during 2023 using Google Scholar, Research Gate, Publish or Perish using the keywords heat compress, dysmenorrhea. Results: A total of 20 articles from 3 journals were screened and included. The inclusion criterion was the effect of hot compress in relieving dysmenorrhea. It was found that it dropped by about 1.27 after hot compress treatment. And the 20 papers examined showed a significant effect on reducing dysmenorrhea pain, p-value = value <0.05. Conclusion: Hot compress therapy has been shown to be an alternative treatment for menstrual pain relief and is a safe way to treat the pain women experience during menstrual cramps.

Abstract

During the puerperium, anemia can occurs in mothers who had lower than nor-mal hemoblobin levels. This condition could caused iron loss, onterfere with the lactatio process, anda cause the uterus to fail to contract because not enough blood enters oxygen to the uterus. The strongest factor causing post partum ane-mia was blood loss during delivery, both moderate and large. Events that cause the mother to lose moderate to large amounts of blood, nameli interventions dur-ing labor such as episiotomy, delivery using a vacuum; third or fourth degree perineal laceration; and caesarean section. The provision of non-drug therapy that can be given to increase hemoglobin levels was to provide iron containing nutrients. The research aim to determine the effect of bangun-bangun leaf  juice on hemoglobin levels for postpartum mother in the Working area of Puskesmas Talun Kenas. This research was a type of quantitative research that is quasi-experiment. The population of this study is all postpartummothers in the work area of Puskesmas Talun Kenas. The samples obtained were 25 people with accidental sampling technique. The statistical test used was the paired sample t test, with a 95% confidence level (? = 0,05). The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of bangun-bangun leaf juice on hemoglobin levels in postpartum mothersin the working area of Puskesmas Talun Kenas (p vaue 0,000). So it was expected that the health center could informed the mother about the benefits of bangun-bangun leaf juice in increasing maternal hemoglobin levels during the postpartum period which can informed during antenatal care visits or during home visits for postpartum mother.

Abstract

Background: Experiencing nausea or sickness while pregnant is common, especially in the first trimester, and it can have serious consequences for the mother's and foetus' health. Hormonal changes, gastrointestinal sensitivities, and psychological issues are usually associated with these symptoms, which about 70-80% of pregnant women experience. A natural cure that may alleviate nausea is lime, which is abundant in antioxidants and vitamin C. Lime has antiemetic qualities thought to be possessed by ingredients including citric acid and essential oils. When it comes to nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, using lime juice as a supplementary treatment is thought to provide a safer and more instinctual alternative. Objectives: This research is conducted to see if lime juice (Citrus aurantifolia) will help pregnant women who are experiencing nausea and vomiting during the first trimester who visit the Matahari Tj. Morawa Health Clinic. Research Method: This statistical study uses the non-parametric Wilcoxon test with a one-group pretest-posttest design. All moms at the Matahari Tj. Morawa Wellness Clinic who were in their first trimester were part of the research population. The intensity of vomiting was assessed using the PUQE-24, and a collection size of 14 participant was established using Slovin's algorithm. Research Results: At the Matahari Tj. Morawa Health Clinic, pregnant women in their first trimester reported less nausea and vomiting after drinking lime juice (p 0.001). Conclusion: Researchers at the Matahari Tj. Morawa Health Clinic found that pregnant women experiencing nausea and vomiting during the first trimester of their pregnancies found relief by drinking lime juice. The clinic should inform expectant moms about the benefits of lime juice for reducing morning sickness and vomiting, particularly in the first trimester.
