Abstract

The employee appraisal system at Naruna Cafe and Resto uses conventional, manual-based appraisal methods which are carried out subjectively by the direct supervisor without a clear evaluation framework so that the appraisal process is often not transparent and lacks objectivity, which causes dissatisfaction and injustice among employees. Clustering techniques can be used as an employee assessment to be more objective, consistent, and based on measurable data. This study aims to apply the K-Means Clustering method, as well as use the K-means algorithm to make it easier to perform calculations, after which the researcher performs processing using RapidMiner to obtain results on the performance quality assessment of Naruna Cafe and Resto employees. This study uses quantitative research methods and collects data based on the quality of employee performance as an object of research. This study produced clusters with very satisfactory work quality of as much as 1 data, clusters with satisfactory work quality of as many as 3 data, clusters with quite satisfactory work quality of as much as 4 data, clusters with unsatisfactory work quality of as much as 1 data, and clusters with unsatisfactory work quality as much as 5 data. From the data processing that has been done, it can be concluded that this research has succeeded in creating a quality group of employee performance at Naruna Cafe and Resto that can be used to view employee performance.

Abstract

Canteens are one of the important facilities in various institutions, such as schools, campuses and offices, which provide food and drinks for visitors. However, many canteens still use conventional systems, causing long queues, user discomfort and difficulty getting information on menu availability. This research discusses the design of a website-based E-canteen application using the Laravel framework with a case study at the Satya Wacana Christian University (UKSW) FTI Canteen. Several stages of application design carried out are collecting research data through questionnaires, analyzing system requirements, developing applications using the Waterfall method and system design using UML diagrams, implementing web-based applications using the Laravel framework and MySQL database, testing application prototypes using black box testing, and evaluating system. which will be used by users through a questionnaire, from the results of the questionnaire it was obtained that the application feasibility was 89%, which means that the website-based e-canteen application prototype is feasible and can be useful for sellers and buyers.

Abstract

Transportation has important role in a country to support the economy. The lack of information about public transportation in a city causes some problems that must be faced by citizens. Some of this problems are: the citizens do not know the route of public transportation, they have to come to the station to check the train schedules, and they do not know the phone number of the taxi when they need it. This study aims to provide public transportation information system to solve that problems. The public transportation information system is built in multi platform mobile with HTML5 and Sencha Touch framework. Sencha Touch is used to build mobile application that able to run in some mobile platforms using PhoneGap technology. In addition, Sencha Touch has better graphics than other frameworks. The public transportation information system in this study helps the citizens to find the information about public transportation in Surakarta. This application runs in some mobile platforms, such as Android, Blackberry, iOS and Windows Phone.

Abstract

The sales system at Puffy Petshop is currently ineffective in conducting sales. This is due to a lack of promotion and information at Puffy Petshop. This research aims to design a dedicated e-commerce application for Puffy Petshop to enhance the online shopping experience for pet products. The research involves analyzing user needs, designing an attractive user interface, develop ping innovative features, and implementing a prototype application. The research methods employed include surveys and interviews with Puffy Petshop owners to identify user needs. The outcome of this research is a prototype of the Puffy Petshop e-commerce application, which includes key features such as product search, online ordering, secure payment, order status notifications, customer reviews, and account management. The prototype application is then tested for functionality and usability through functional testing and user testing to ensure optimal performance and usefulness. In this study, a website design for sales at Puffy Petshop in Juwana will be created using the Laravel Framework. The implementation of this sales website is expected to address the existing issues at Puffy Petshop in Juwana.

Abstract

The ease of access to information technology in the modern era can be felt in various aspects of human life needs, one of which is exchanging information or exchanging data is an activity that has been carried out very often every day. With this convenience, the security and confidentiality of the data is also very important to consider because the information or data exchanged can contain important or confidential matters. In the exchange of data or information, of course, a security system is needed that ensures the data remains safe. One of the techniques to secure this data is to use cryptographic techniques. There have been many cryptographic techniques used or implemented to secure information, but many cryptographic techniques have been solved so that the ability to secure data is doubtful. One way to overcome this is to create a new cryptography or make changes to existing cryptography. Through this research, a cryptography will be created that uses the pattern of Karo traditional cloth and uses a 64-bit Block Cipher to produce a better encryption process.

Abstract

Abstract Language and Automata Theory is one of information technology’s component. This theory is the based of ideas and model of a computation system. One example of the Automata implementation is a vending machine. A vending machine can sell goods to customers without an operator to operate the machine. However, in Indonesia,the presence of vending machines are rarely seen.  In this study, the author will try to learn about how a vending machine works, as well as to apply part of the Language and Automata Theory to design and create a simulation of a vending machine.  As the result of the design and implementation of Finite Automata in vending machine simulation, it can be concluded that Finite Automata can be used for basic logic to make a vending machine simulation. Through this application simulation, user can get an  experience in operating a vending machine and learn how to use the vending machine.   Keywords: Language and Automata Theory, Finite Automata, Vending Machine, Simulation. Abstrak Teori bahasa dan automata merupakan salah satu komponen ilmu informat ika. Teori inilah yang mendasari ide dan model dari sebuah sistem komputasi.  Salah satu contoh penerapan automata adalah pada  vending machine.  Vending  machine  dapat menjual barang-barang untuk konsumen tanpa adanya seorang operator. Namun, di Indonesia, keberadaan  vending machine  masih dapat dikatakan langka. Dalam penelit ian ini, akan dipelajari cara kerja vending machine, sekaligus diterapkan bagian dari Teori Bahasa dan Automata untuk merancang dan membuat simulasinya. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan dan implementasi Finite Automata  pada simulasi  vending machine, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa  Finite Automata  dapat dijadikan sebagai logika dasar untuk membuat simulasi  vending machine. Melalui aplikasi simulasi ini, diharapkan  user  dapat memperoleh pengalaman dalam mengoperasikan sebuah vending machine serta mengetahui cara menggunakan sebuah vending machine.  Kata Kunci : Teori Bahasa dan Automata, Finite Automata, Vending Machine, Simulasi.

Abstract

Abstract LWUIT is a library to UI’s widget that was designed to a device with limited capacity, like mobile phone that can give an interesting menu and help developer to develop its components. In this research, LWUIT was implemented on a J2ME mobile tourism guide  application in Semarang Regency that could be used to show some information about tourism objects attractively. So, users would be attracted to have a vacation in Semarang Regency after making use of it. This application gave information mostly needed by tourists like something to see, something to do, and something to buy in tourist objects located in Semarang Regency. In addition, It gave information in map model that could help users to understand tourism object in Semarang Regency more clearly. Hopefully, It benefits to Dinas Pemuda, Olahraga, Kebudayaan, dan Pariwisata in Semarang Regency on tourism objects promotion. Keywords: J2ME, LWUIT, mobile information    Abstrak LWUIT merupakan sebuah   library untuk  widget UI yang di desain untuk device dengan kapasitas terbatas seperti  mobile phone  yang dapat menyajikan aplikasi dengan tampilan lebih menarik serta memudahkan  developer  dalam melakukan  develope  komponen. Pada penelitian ini LWUIT diimplementasikan pada sebuah aplikasi panduan pariwisata  mobile  J2ME  di kabupaten Semarang yang dapat digunakan untuk menampilkan informasi mengenai objek wisata dengan lebih menarik. Hal ini memberikan manfaat bagi Dinas Pemuda, Olahraga, Kebudayaan, dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Semarang sebagai media promosi objek  wisata kepada masyarakat luas agar wisatawan tertarik untuk melakukan perjalanan wisata di kabupaten Semarang setelah menjalankan aplikasi tersebut. Aplikasi ini memberikan informasi berupa apa saja yang bisa dilihat, dilakukan, dan dibeli oleh pengguna pada objek wisata yang ada di kabupaten Semarang. Abstract

Abstract Presentation of ticket availability information is still a manual one problems faced by the travel services for passengers have come to the ticket agent to check availability.Therefore the need for a reservation system applications.Bus ticket reservation system used for passengers booking a trip without having to come to the agency. To facilitate passengers to access this system, the bus ticket reservation application built Android -based mobile. Android is a collection of software intended for mobile devices includes an operating  system. This application runs on the Android platform and integrate with applications residing on the server. Server is built to take advantage of web-based .web service. Web Service provides a standardized communication among different software applications are different, and can run on various platforms and frameworks. Through the application of this reservation, the reservation transaction is expected to be done anywhere and anytime without being bound by time and place. Keyword : Reservation, Android, web serviceAbstrak Penyajian informasi ketersediaan tiket yang masih manual menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang dialami oleh jasa travel karena calon penumpang harus datang ke agen untuk mengetahui ketersediaan tiket. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya suatu aplikasi sistem  reservasi.Sistem  Reservasi  t iket bus digunakan calon penumpang untuk melakukan pemesanan tiket perjalanan tanpa harus datang ke agen. Untuk memudahkan calon penumpang dalam mengakses sistem ini, maka dibangun aplikasi  reservasi tiket bus berbasis Android mobile. Android adalah kumpulan perangkat lunak yang ditujukan bagi perangkat bergerak mencakup sistem operasi. Aplikasi ini berjalan pada platform Android dan berintegrasi dengan aplikasi yang berada di  server. Server  dibangun  berbasis  web  yang memanfaatkan  web service.  Web Service  menyediakan standar komunikasi di antara berbagai aplikasi  software yang berbeda-beda, dan dapat berjalan di berbagai platform maupun  framework.  Penelit ian ini membahas tentang perancangan dan implementasi aplikasi sistem reservasi  tiket bus berbasis Android mobile. Melalui aplikasi  reservasi  ini, diharapkan transaksi  reservasi dapat dilakukan dimana saja dan kapan saja tanpa terikat dengan waktu dan tempat.  Kata Kunci : Reservasi, Android, web service

Abstract

Abstract Violations of the students is often become  problems at school. As truant, fighting, smoking and others. In addition to teachers, parents also have an important role to contribute and supervise their children at school. Student monitoring system is important to help parents supervise their children  at school. Both in value, attendance, payment data and the violation of the student in school. To facilitate parents in accessing this system, the system was built based on J2ME. J2ME is a development environment designed to put the Java software on mobile  devices. The system can run on mobile devices that support Java applications. Server is built using web-based web service. Web services allow to exchange the use of existing functions so can use the functions from one application to make an application to  another on a different network. That way, parents can get information at any time without limited by the number of characters.  Keywords: Student Monitoring, J2ME, Web Service Abstrak Pelanggaran siswa sering menjadi masalah di sekolah. Seperti membolos, berkelahi, merokok dan lain-lain. Selain guru, orang tua juga punya peran penting untuk turut serta mengawasi anaknya di sekolah. Sistem monitoring siswa membantu orang tua mengawasi anaknya di sekolah baik dalam  nilai, absensi, data pembayaran maupun pelanggaran yang dilakukan siswa di sekolah. Untuk memudahkan orang tua dalam mengakses sistem ini, maka dibangun sistem yang berbasis J2ME.  J2ME adalah lingkungan pengembangan yang didesain untuk meletakkan perangkat lunak Java pada perangkat selular. Sistem ini dapat berjalan pada perangkat selular yang mendukung aplikasi java. Server dibangun berbasis web dengan memanfaatkan web service.  Web service  memungkinkan  untuk melakukan  pertukaran pemakaian  fungsi-fungsi  yang ada sehingga bisa memakai fungsi dari aplikasi yang satu untuk membuat suatu aplikasi yang lain pada jaringan yang berbeda. Dengan begitu maka orang tua dapat memperoleh informasi kapanpun tanpa terbatas oleh jumlah karakter.  Kata Kunci: Monitoring Siswa, J2ME, Web Service

Abstract

Abstract Schedule of courses has been one of the most important part in a university’s teaching and learning activity.  The  large number of  courses and  lecturers  that  are involved,  make some clashes on course’s schedule or class room’s schedule could happens frequently,  so it requires  an application to simplify the process of developing the course schedule. Steepest ascent hill climbing algorithm is an algorithm that generates all possible solutions, and then checks every solution to obtain optimum solution. The result of this research is this course scheduling system can facilitate courses schedulling, in addition  steepest ascent hill climbing algorithm is able to obtain optimum scheduling courses solutions.  Keywords : Course Schedulling, Steepest Ascent Hill Climbing Abstrak Jadwal mata kuliah telah menjadi salah satu bagian terpenting dalam proses belajar mengajar sebuah universitas.  Banyaknya jumlah mata kuliah   dan  dosen yang terlibat, mengakibatkan sering terjadinya bentrokan  jadwal mata kuliah   atau pun dalam pemakaian ruang perkuliahan,  sehingga diperlukan sebuah aplikasi guna mempermudah proses penyusunan jadwal mata kuliah tersebut.  Algoritma  steepest ascent hill climbing  adalah algoritma yang mengumpulkan seluruh solusi yang mungkin, dan men gecek setiap solusi untuk memperoleh solusi yang optimal. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aplikasi yang dibangun dapat digunakan untuk memudahkan penjadwalan mata kuliah selain itu algoritma  steepest ascent hill climbing mampu memperoleh solusi penjadwalan mata kuliah yang optimal.   Kata Kunci : Penjadwalan Mata Kuliah, Steepest Ascent Hill Climbing.
