The trend of banking performance in the last five years is still fluctuating. The continuous development of systems, information and communication technology has profound implications for the integration of business functions such as sales and marketing, procurement, finance and accounting, research and development of banking products/services. This study aims to identify, examine and analyze empirical evidence on phenomena that occur in the banking world so that research hypotheses are generated to be studied and tested using quantitative methods in order to obtain dominant variables that influence as the basis for developing a measurable conceptual model.

Meanwhile, lecturer involvement is quite strong with the dimensions of Dedication, Vigor and Absorption. And the performance of lecturers is in the quite good category with the dimensions of the tridharma of higher education. The results of verification research show that self-efficacy and knowledge sharing have a partial and simultaneous positive effect on lecturer involvement, and lecturer involvement has a positive and significant effect on lecturer performance. Abstract

Introduction: Hospitals, functioning both as public service institutions and business entities, must prioritize patient satisfaction to ensure the sustainability of their services. This study explores the relationships among operational strategy, operational competence, quality culture, and service quality, as well as their combined impact on patient satisfaction in Indonesian hospitals. Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 300 respondents, comprising medical and non-medical staff, across four hospitals in Jambi Province. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was utilized for data analysis, enabling an in-depth examination of both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. Results: The findings revealed that operational strategy and operational competence significantly influenced quality culture and service quality. Additionally, quality culture and service quality collectively impacted patient satisfaction, highlighting the critical roles of these factors in enhancing hospital performance. Notably, service quality had the strongest direct effect on patient satisfaction, while quality culture contributed to sustaining these improvements over time. Conclusions: These findings underscore the essential role of strategic alignment and operational excellence in achieving higher levels of patient satisfaction. The study provides valuable insights for hospital management and policymakers in developing countries, advocating for the integration of strategic planning and competency development to enhance healthcare delivery systems and improve patient outcomes.

Abstract

Coffee, a significant plantation product, holds vast opportunities in both domestic and global markets. Bandung Regency is renowned for its distinctive fruit-flavored coffee, particularly from Ciwidey and Puntang, where coffee is marketed in cherry and green bean forms without branding. A value chain analysis is essential to enhance the coffee industry's added value and sustainability. This study aims to identify the coffee value chain in Bandung Regency, analyze the cost of production, total revenue, and profit of the coffee processing industry in Ciwidey and Puntang, and determine the added value of coffee products in these areas. Using descriptive analysis, results indicate that Ciwidey (MS Coffee) has a lower cost of goods produced than Puntang (Acs Siliwangi) due to higher production volumes in Puntang leading to higher costs. However, Puntang’s larger production volume also generates higher monthly revenue and profit due to a higher selling price per kilogram. Value-added analysis reveals that Puntang’s value-added per kilogram (Rp. 55,025.00/kg) surpasses that of Ciwidey (Rp. 44,647.00/kg), attributed to higher selling prices, superior product quality, and greater market presence in Puntang. Conversely, higher input prices in Ciwidey result in lower value-added.

AbstractSmall and medium enterprises (SME) have a significant role in the West Java economy. This study aims to design a web-based database information system based on SMEs in the Disperindag Jabar. The method used for system development was the Waterfall method which included five stages, namely information gathering, identification of needs, system modeling and design, system construction, and system testing. In general, the information system can be used by SMEs to report business profiles and propose facilitation needs by online and can be utilized by the Agency to view SME business profiles, obtain data about facilitation activities, analyze the progress of facilitation, and evaluate the facilitation that has been provided to SMEs based on the database in generated by the system. The system was tested using black box procedure and carried out for each user by using sample from SMEs in the coffee beverage business sector and from Disperindag Jabar employees. The results showed that all activities proposed for each type of user have been successfully performed by the system as required.

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are particularly important for the economy of West Java Province. Accordingly, The Industry and Trade Agency of West Java Province has conducted a number of facilitation programs to support the development of these SMEs. Neverheless, the implementation of facilitation programs is faced with some major problems, for example, the registration system for applying and proposing facilitation programs is still manually managed. As a result, some SMEs do not have the opportunity to propose and receive facilitation programs from the agency in addition to the several serious issues encountered by the agency to evaluate the facilitation programs. This study aims to design a website-based information system of SME development facilitation registration in the Industry and Trade Agency of West Java Province Government, Indonesia. It used the Waterfall method to develop the system. The results suggested that the system can well run as expected. In addition, the result of usability test indicates that the proposed system can be classified as acceptable because its score is 80.4.
