Abstract

Analysis of the review of the literature study of articles or writings that discuss the use of software as a source and medium of school learning in the co-19 pandemic. The method used in this journal is the study of literature by visiting several pages or articles from the world wide web, which is carried out with a narrative type (exposure) related to the topic of using software as a source and medium of school learning in the co-19 pandemic. The data analysis technique used by the writer is by applying filter, based on the year 2019-2020, the title of which is relevant to computer learning software, and the topic. Overall, the core discussed is computer software that is popular in the middle of a pandemic, especially those used in learning in schools.Analisis tinjauan pada studi literature terhadap artikel atau tulisan yang  membahas tentang penggunaan software sebagai sumber dan media pembelajaran sekolah di masa pandemi covid-19. Metode yang digunakan pada jurnal ini adalah studi literature dengan mengunjungi beberapa halaman atau artikel dari world wide web, yang dilakukan dengan jenis naratif (pemaparan) terkait dengan topik penggunaan software sebagai sumber dan media pembelajaran sekolah di masa pandemi covid-19. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan penulis adalah dengan melakukan penyaringan (apply filter), berdasarkan tahun yakni 2019-2020, judulnya yakni yang relevan dengan perangkat lunak komputer pembelajaran, dan topiknya. Secara keseluruhan, inti yang dibahas adalah perangkat lunak komputer yang populer ditengah pandemi, khususnya yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Quail are livestock that are kept for their eggs and meat. Raising quail is more economical than other types of poultry. Kencur contains starch, minerals and essential oils which are expected to have an influence on the external quality of quail eggs. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of commercial feed mixed with kencur flour on the external quality of quail eggs (Cortunix cortunix japonica). This research was conducted on 22 March – 18 May 2020. The livestock used in this study were 64 quails aged 7 days and data collection began when the quails were 44 days – 65 days old. This research used Completely Randomized Randomized (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications, each treatment consisted of 4 quails. The treatments were P1 = Control feed without any addition, P2 = Addition of 0.5% kencur flour, P3 = Addition of 1% kencur flour, P4 = Addition of 1.5% kencur flour. The variables measured were egg weight, egg index, shell weight and shell thickness. The results of this study showed that the addition of kencur flour in quail did not affect the external quality of quail eggs. Key words: External Quality, Quail,  Kencur,

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh tepung indigofera yang diberikan ke pedet terhadap KCBK, KCBO, dan SK. Penelitian menggunakan RAL dengan perlakukan sebagai berikut: Ro) Kosentrat 40%+Hijauan 60% R1) Hijauan 60% + (5% tepung indigofera + 35% konsentrat R2) Hijauan 60%+(10% tepung indigofera + 30% konsentrat . Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa pedet FH yang diberi ransum Konsentrat+Hijauan (rumput gajah)+ tepung indigofera tidak berpengaruh nyata  (P>0,05).

Abstract

The study aimed to identify characteristics of beef cattle farmers along the street corridor of Southern West Java. The study used a survey method in which purposive sampling technique was applied to collect data from 13 sub-districts of five districts along the street corridor of Southern West Java. Result of the study showed that eight categories of cattle farmers with their respective characteristics, namely: 1) the age of farmers, in the productive category (91%); 2) the level of education, mostly at the level of elementary school education (62%); 3) farming experience, most experience for 11-20 years (30%); 4) the nature of livestock business, is a side business (70.8%); 5) number of family dependents, with the highest number of three family dependents (32%); 6) livestock ownership, is their-self owned (67%); 7) cattle origin, with own purchases namely 46%, and 8) business scale, with many livestock owned by 1-3 beef or 50%.

Abstract

Duck egg is known to have an unpleasant fishy odor which often becomes a factor reducing its acceptance in public. This odor is resulted from lipid oxidation which can be avoided by using an antioxidant. This study was aimed at assessing the effects of the inclusion of star gooseberry (Sauropus androgynus) dried leaf extract in ration on egg organoleptic quality of local duck. The study was conducted in a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replicates. Sensory test by 60 semi-trained panelists and hedonic quality and hedonic tests were conducted. Data were subjected to a Kruskal-Wallis test. Results showed that treatments gave significant effects (P <0.05) on aroma (hedonic), yolk color, and aroma (hedonic quality). It was concluded that the inclusion of star gooseberry dried leaf extract by 1,5% in ration improved the quality of egg yolk color, egg aroma, and consumers’ preference. A further study on the effects of DSGLE on meat quality and protein digestibility in ducks was recommended.

Abstract

One of the sources of animal protein for the community can be obtained from quail eggs. Quail eggs have nutritional value that is not inferior to other poultry eggs. Feed is one of the factors that can affect egg quality. Coriander is a spice that contains essential oils that are beneficial for the body when consumed. So it is hoped that the presence of this essential oil can help improve livestock growth and produce quality quail eggs sensory. This study aimed to examine the effect of giving coriander flour to quail feed on the sensory quality of eggs. The study was conducted for 30 days. The livestock used were Japanese quail aged 30 days with 100 heads. The feed used is commercial feed and additional coriander flour. The design used was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications for each unit of 5 birds with treatment R0 = commercial feed +0% coriander flour, R1 = commercial feed + 0.5% coriander flour, R2 = commercial feed + 1% coriander flour, R3 = commercial feed + 1.5% coriander flour. Data were analyzed using Kruskall Wallis and Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that the administration of coriander flour had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the hedonic test of egg white color and texture hedonic quality test, while for the egg yolk color, taste, aroma variables were not significantly different (P>0.05). This study concludes that organoleptic administration of 1% coriander flour can increase the panelists' preference for egg whites and improve the texture of quail eggs.

Abstract

Egg production of quails depends on quality of ration. Nutrient manipulation by chromiun inclusion in ration is a possible way to improve production.  It is known that chromium mineral in form of GTF in blood has a role not only in enhancement of glucose entering cells through improvement of insulin activity but also in metabolism of lipid and synthesis of protein and elimination of heat stress to improve egg production. This study aimed at assessing egg production of quails fed ration containing chromium-yeast.  Sixty-four quails aged 40 days were used. A completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replication was applied in this study. Treatment consisted of commercial ration + Cr 0 ppm (R1), commercial ration + Cr 0.5 ppm (R2), commercial ration + Cr 1 ppm (R3), and commercial ration+ Cr 1.5 ppm (R4). Measurements were taken on feed intake, egg weight, egg mass production, hen day, feed conversion rate, egg index, and egg shell thickness.  Results showed that A ration containing organic chromium as much as 1,5 ppm did not affect feed intake, egg production, egg weight, and eggshell thickness, however lowered feed conversion rate by up to 32.25% from that of control. Supplementation of  0,5 ppm chromium in the ration lowered the value of eggs index in the fourth week.

Abstract

Permasalahan di Desa Jambuluwuk adalah banyaknya sampah organik yang dihasilkan oleh industri rumah tangga dan pertanian yang belum dikelola sehingga menimbulkan bau tidak sedap. Sampah tersebut berupa potongan sayuran, kulit buah-buahan dan tulang daging. Selain itu di sector perikanan, peternak ikan yang masih menggunakan pelet sebagai pakan ikan, mengingat harga pelet yang meningkat peternak harus mencari alternatif lain untuk menekan biaya pakan, salah satu solusinya adalah budidaya maggot sebagai pengganti pakan ternak yang memiliki kandungan protein tinggi. Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) mengadakan kegiatan sosialisasi budidaya maggot sebagai alternatif pakan ternak yang dilaksankan di Desa Jambuluwuk. Metode yang dilaksanakan adalah ceramah, diskusi dan praktek. Sebelum dilakukan sosialisasi, survei dan observasi lapangan dan metode literatur. Informasi hasil wawancara diperkuat dengan melakukan kajian Pustaka terhadap sumber-sumber yang relevan dengan topik bahasan.Hasil dari sosialisasi ini adalah rasa antusias mansyarakat dibuktikan dengan diskusi yang interaktif antara dosen dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Rendahnya produktivitas kambing perah di peternakan rakyat disebabkan karena tata kelola peternakan yang masih minim,dan belum masuknya teknologi dalam manajemen seperti teknologi pakan, reproduksi, dan teknologi hasil ternak. Desa Sukamanah memiliki potensi untuk pengembangan kambing perah karena didukung oleh luas lahan dan cuaca yang cocok untuk budidaya ternak perah dan ketersediaan tenaga kerja. Namun peternak di desa ini masih belum memahami bagaimana manajemen yang baik. Pelatihan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan praktik langsung mengenai  manajemen budidaya kambing perah dan perbaikan kandang kambing perah telah dilakukan di desa Sukamanah.  Petani peternak antusias mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan. Materi penyuluhan sebagian besar dapat dipahami karena mereka sudah terbiasa memelihara kambing perah dan memiliki keinginan untuk mengembangkan dan meningkatkan ketrampilan.

Abstract

Peraturan Menteri No.  64/Permentan/OT.140/5/2014 tentang Pedoman Budidaya Kambing Perah yang Baik  (Good Farming Practice) perlu disosialisasikan agar peternak memahami pedoman dan syarat minimal  budidaya kambing perah serta bentuk dukungan pemerintah terhadap pengembangan usaha peternakan kambing perah di Indonesia. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mensosialisasikan berbagai aspek tatalaksana budidaya kambing perah meliputi: bibt kambing perah, perkandangan, pemberian pakan, manajemen reproduksi dan biosekuriti kambing perah.  Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di  Peternakan Berkah Family di Kelurahan Cibuluh, Kecamatan Bogor Utara, Kota Bogor Jawa Barat dengan jarak sekitar 20 km dari Universitas Djuanda selama 5 minggu. Pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terdiri atas  dosen dari Universitas Djuanda dan lima orang mahasiswa Program Studi Peternakan. Metode pengabdian adalah direct method  dengan bentuk kegiatan penyuluhan dan praktek.  Penyuluhan terkait semua aspek tata laksana kambing perah. Praktek yang dilakukan: penyusunan ransum dan sanitasi kandang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peternak belum pernah mengetahui ada peraturan terkait GFP kambing perah. Peningkatan pemahaman atau pengetahuan setelah dievaluasi berdasarkan kegiatan pre dan post test, hasil dari sosialisasi Peraturan Menteri No.  64/Permentan/OT.140/5/2014 tentang Pedoman Budidaya Kambing Perah yang Baik sebesar 15.65%.   Kesimpulan dari kegiatan PkM adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 15,65%  terhadap penyuluhan materi yang disampaikan.  Praktek penyusunan ransum dan penerapan sanitasi kandang secara rutin akan diterapkan sebagai upaya menekan biaya pakan dan menjamin kesehatan  bagi peternak dan produk yang dihasilkan terutama pada kondisi pandemic Covid-19.  Disarankan: dilakukan pendampingan secara berkesinambungan untuk memantau penerapan hasil transfer pengetahuan dan praktek yang telah dilakukan oleh peternak mitra Berkah Family.
