Abstract

Pengelolaan ruang terbuka menjadi tanaman obat merupakan program pengabdian dengan merevitalisasi lahan tidak terawat menjadi Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA). Pengelolaan ruang terbuka dengan pemberdayaan Himpunan mahasiswa pendidikan jasmani (HIMADIKJAS) dan bermitra dengan masyarakat Dusun Bukit Paya Bujuk Seulemak, Kec. Langsa baru, Kota Langsa. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dari tanggal 5-11 Desember 2022. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan 4 tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, pengerjaan, pembenihan dan sosialisasi. Tujuan kegiatan adalah mengelola ruang terbuka yang tidak difungsikan menjadi tanaman obat keluarga, menjadi taman edukasi obat-obatan tradisional dan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat serta mahasiswa pentingnya tanaman obat tradisional sebagai obat alternatif untuk penyembuhan. Jenis tanaman obat yang ditanam adalah jenis yang sering digunakan seperti kunyit, kencur, temu lawak, jahe, dan serai. Pengelolaan lanjutan ruang terbuka kota di lahan sepanjang 1.200 meter yang diserahkan kepada masyarakat Dusun Bukit pasca pengelolaan jika dirawat dan berhasil dipanen, hasilnya dapat diperjual belikan kepada masyarakat sekitar. Konsep ini tentunya dapat menjadi program swadaya penghasilan tambahan kepada masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.Managing open spaces into medicinal plants is a service program revitalizing unkempt land into family medicinal plants (TOGA). Management of open spaces by empowering the Physical Education Student Association (HIMADIKJAS) and partnering with the people of Bukit Paya Village, Bujuk Seulemak, Kec. New Langsa, Langsa City. The activity was carried out from 5-11 December 2022. The method for implementing the activity was in 4 stages: preparation, work, seeding and socialization. The activity aims to manage open spaces not used as family medicinal plants, become educational parks for traditional medicines, and increase public and student understanding of the importance of traditional medicinal plants as alternative medicines for healing. The types of medicinal plants planted are the types that are often used, such as turmeric, kencur, temu lawak, ginger, and lemongrass. Continued management of urban open space on 1,200 meters of land was handed over to the Dusun Bukit community. After management, if it is cared for and successfully harvested, the results can be traded to the surrounding community. This concept can certainly be a self-help program for additional income for the community in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Having good physical fitness is one of the important elements that must be possessed by someone, especially sports students, because most of the study process is by doing physical activity. Meanwhile, during the Covid-19 pandemic, all study activities are carried out by online methods. This of course will result in a decrease in their physical fitness. This study aims to see and determine the Physical Fitness Level of sports coaching education students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a descriptive research method with a population and a sample of 38 people who are students of sports coaching education in semester 3. The data retrieval used in this study was an Indonesian Physical Fitness Test which consisted of several test items, namely: a 60 meter running speed test, a pull up test, a sit up test, an vertical jump test, and a 1200 meter run test. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis techniques with presentation in the form of percentages. The results showed that there were no students who had a very good physical fitness level, 3 students (7.89%) had a good physical fitness level, 20 students (52.63%) had a physical fitness level with Medium classification, 10 students (26.32%) have a level of physical fitness with a classification of Poor and 5 students (13.16%) have a level of physical fitness with a classification of Very Poor. Based on this data, the researcher can conclude that the Physical Fitness Level of the Sports Coaching Education Students at the Riau University during the COVID-19 Pandemic mostly fell into the Medium and Poor category, with a total of 20 people (52.63%) in the Medium Level category and 10 (26, 32%) People in the Poor Level category.

Abstract

KKN merupakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat pada wilayah atau lembaga pendidikan tertentu, dilaksanakan secara berkelompok, terintegrasi antar jurusan, terkoordinasi di tingkat Universitas. Kegiatan KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman kerja lapangan secara nyata di lapangan untuk membentuk sikap mandiri dan tanggung jawab dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan di lapangan. Selain itu, KKN juga bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam meningkatkan taraf pengetahuan dan keterampilannya sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraannya. Kegiatan KKN dibagi menjadi empat tahapan kegiatan yaitu pembekalan, pelaksanaan kegiatan di lokasi, penyusunan laporan, dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan KKN ini dimulai dari tanggal 13 Juli 2022 sampai dengan 21 Agustus 2022 di Desa Deli Makmur Kecamatan Kampa Kabupaten Kampar. Program kerja di Desa Deli Makmur merupakan program yang menekankan pada pemberdayaan masyarakat. Program fisik kelompok KKN Desa Deli Makmur meliputi: Penghijauan, pembangunan Gerbang, bersih desa, senam, pembuatan tong sampah, dan pemeliharaan perpustakaan desa. Program non fisik yang dilakukan adalah pelaksanaan kegiatan Bimbingan Belajar, pendampingan Posyandu. Secara umum kegiatan KKN di Desa Deli Makmur berjalan sangat baik.

Abstract

KKN is a community service activity in certain areas or educational institutions, carried out in groups, integrated between departments, coordinated at the University level. The KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) activity aims to provide real field work experience in the field of forming an independent attitude and responsibility in carrying out work in the field. In addition, KKN also aims to assist the community in increasing the level of knowledge and skills so that it is expected to improve their welfare. KKN activities are divided into four stages of activity, namely debriefing, implementation of activities at the location, preparation of reports, and evaluation. The implementation of this KKN starts from July 13, 2022 until August 21, 2022 in Deli Makmur Village, Kampa District, Kampar Regency. The work program in Deli Makmur Village is a program that emphasizes community empowerment. The physical program of the Deli Makmur Village KKN group includes: Greening, Gate construction, village cleaning, gymnastics, making trash cans, and maintaining the village library. Non-physical programs carried out are the implementation of Tutoring activities, Posyandu assistances. In general, KKN activities in Deli Makmur Village went very well and smoothly. This is due to the enthusiasm of the residents of Deli Makmur Village. The implementation of these KKN programs is expected to be beneficial for all parties concerned as the application and competence of the owner.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and see the value of the fatigue index in student football athletes after playing a match for 45 minutes in the first halfs. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with 22 sample. The instrument used in this study is the Running-based Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST), which is a test carried out by sprinting with a distance of 35 meters for 6 repetitions and a 10 second rest interval for each repetition performed by the athlete. The test results showed that from 22 students who played soccer for 45 minutes, 15 students (68.18%) had a high fatigue index value, while 7 students (31.82%) had a low fatigue index value. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that 15 out of 22 people (68.18%) of student soccer athletes after playing a soccer match for 45 minutes in the first half had a high fatigue index value.

Abstract

Fatigue Index: means the rate at which power output declines for an athlete, which can provide information about the athlete's anaerobic capacity. This study aims to better understand the physical performance and fatigue index of athletes in Swadaya Bhayangkara volleyball after a match. This study analyzes the effects of acute fatigue from a mock match on physical performance variables among volleyball players. The research method is descriptive by observing, testing, and measuring, where the subjects are ten male volleyball players (age: 17.9 years; height: 175.5cm; weight: 61.4 kg). The fatigue index instrument is Repeat Sprint Ability (RSA) test. The measurement results obtained that one athlete had an excellent category of fatigue index, one athlete had a good category, average categories belonged to four athletes, and Poor categories belonged to four athletes. As a result, the Fatigue Index of Athlete Swadaya Bhayangkara volleyball has an average category.

Abstract

Tren olahraga lari di Kota Medan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan seiring berkembangnya berbagai komunitas pelari. Namun, masih banyak pelari yang belum memahami pentingnya pemanasan yang tepat sebelum beraktivitas, terutama terkait teknik dynamic warm-up. Kondisi ini berpotensi meningkatkan risiko cedera dan menurunkan performa lari akibat pemanasan yang tidak sesuai prinsip sport science. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelari dalam menerapkan teknik dynamic warm-up yang benar. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap persiapan, edukasi teori, praktik langsung gerakan pemanasan dinamis, pendampingan pada sesi lari bersama, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 31 Oktober 2025 di area jogging Komplek Royal Sumatera Medan dan diikuti oleh 35 peserta dari berbagai komunitas lari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta mengenai perbedaan pemanasan statis dan dinamis, manfaat fisiologis dynamic warm-up, serta teknik gerakan yang benar. Peserta juga mampu mempraktikkan rangkaian pemanasan secara lebih terstruktur dan konsisten. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kebugaran masyarakat dan mendorong penerapan pemanasan yang aman, efektif, serta berbasis ilmu keolahragaan dalam aktivitas lari komunitas di Kota Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis permainan terhadap hasil belajar pendidikan jasmani siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah 20 siswa kelas V SD Negeri Paya Bili Dua. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen berupa tes hasil belajar (pretest dan posttest), lembar observasi, serta validasi ahli. Efektivitas pembelajaran diuji menggunakan analisis N-Gain untuk melihat peningkatan skor hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest siswa adalah 58,4 dan meningkat menjadi 91,2 pada posttest. Nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,79 atau 79,3% yang tergolong dalam kategori tinggi dan dinilai efektif. Model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa permainan bola keranjang yang dikemas untuk meningkatkan keterampilan lari jarak pendek secara aktif dan menyenangkan. Validasi dari tiga ahli menyatakan bahwa model sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran berbasis permainan efektif diterapkan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi atletik, khususnya nomor lari jarak pendek.   Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of game-based learning on elementary school students' physical education learning outcomes. The research employed a quantitative approach. The subjects were 20 fifth-grade students from SD Negeri Paya Bili Dua. Data were collected through pretest-posttest learning outcome tests, observation sheets, and expert validation. The effectiveness was measured using N-Gain analysis to evaluate students’ improvement. The results showed that the average pretest score was 58.4 and the posttest average increased to 91.2. The N-Gain score reached 0.79 or 79.3%, categorized as high and considered effective. The developed game model, which utilized basketball-based activities, was designed to improve sprint skills in an engaging and active way. Validation from three experts confirmed the model’s feasibility for use in physical education. Therefore, game-based learning is proven to be effective in enhancing student learning outcomes in athletics, particularly in sprinting.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationships among handgrip strength, trunk extension performance, quadriceps muscle strength endurance, and back muscle strength, and to identify the most dominant predictor of back muscle strength among physical education students. A cross-sectional correlational design was employed involving 38 undergraduate physical education students (age 20.42 ± 0.72 years). Back muscle strength was measured using a back dynamometer, handgrip strength using a grip dynamometer, trunk extension performance using an extension dynamometer, and quadriceps strenght endurance using the wall sit test. Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted. Handgrip strength showed a strong and significant correlation with back muscle strength (r = 0.839, p < 0.001), whereas trunk extension performance and quadriceps strenght endurance were not significantly associated. Multiple regression analysis revealed that handgrip strength was the only significant independent predictor of back muscle strength (β = 0.838, p < 0.001), explaining 70.7% of the variance in back muscle strength. These findings indicate that handgrip strength serves as a dominant and practical predictor of back muscle strength in physical education students, supporting its use as an efficient screening tool in educational and sport settings.
