Abstract

In playing basketball, a factor that has been ignored by the students is the effect of the strength of leg muscle and eye-hand coordination in shooting free throws. This research aims to know the contribution of the strength of leg muscle in the ability of free throws, the contribution of eye-hand coordination to the ability of free throws, as well as the contribution of leg muscle and eye-hand coordination in the ability of shooting free throws. This method used was the correlation method with product moment statistics and double correlation. The results of this research are: the contribution of the strength of leg muscle (X1) toward free throws (Y) gained 32,49%; the contribution of eye-hand coordination (X2) toward free throws (Y) was 40,96%; and the contribution of the strength of leg muscle (XI) and eye-hand coordination (X2) reached 51,84%. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that there are the contribution of the strength of leg muscle and eye-hand coordination toward free throws done by the students from 4th semester in Department of Physical Education Health and Recreation in Universitas Bengkulu when playing basketball.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out sport/work out activities carried out by students during covid-19 pandemic. Sport activity is very necessary to increase endurance, in addition to exercise that is done regularly, the right intensity can improve fitness. The research method used a descriptive research approach by conducting a survey to 427 students from public and private universities. The data collection technique was conducted by using a questionnaire utilized the Google form application. Thus, the questionnaire could be filled out online. The results of the research showed that the most exercise conducted during the co-19 pandemic period was cardio exercise. Cardio exercise is categorized in aerobic activities. Sports activities are mostly carried out at home

Abstract

This study describes the strength, concentration, interest, physical activity and body mass index between regular schools and Islamic boarding schools based schools. The results of this study were carried out as material for evaluating the interests of interests. This research is a non-experimental quantitative research. The sample in this study were high school students in regular schools and Islamic boarding schools in Kab. Bojonegoro. The number of regular students is 221, students of Islamic boarding schools are 245. The instruments used to measure the variables of this study include: the strength variable (Push Up, Sit Up, Back Up). Concentration variable using grid concentration test. Interest variables using a questionnaire. The physical activity variable used the international physical activity questionnaire (IPAQ short). The body mass index variable uses the national nutritional obesity formula. This research was conducted semi-online. Items of interest and physical activity were carried out offline, while physical fitness, concentration and body mass index were carried out boldly. Regular school excels at item strength and physical activity. Islamic boarding school-based schools are superior in concentration and interest. Regular school students tend to be obese than boarding school students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tingkat aktivitas fisik yang dilakukan dan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) sebagai variabel predictor yang dilihat unutk gerak serta kondisi tubuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif non-eksperiment. Sample dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 245 siswa pondok pesantren tingkat SMA di Kabupaten Bojonegoro. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan September 2021. pengumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan google form. Instrument yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu aktivitas fisik internasional (IPAQ) sederhana untuk mengetahui variabel aktifitas fisik sampel dan norma obesitas gizi nasional untuk variabel indeks massa tubuh (IMT).  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aktifitas fisik siswa dari pondok pesantren berkategori “rendah” dan untuk indeks massa tubuh siswa pondok pesantren berkategori “normal”. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa aktifitas fisik yang dilakukan pada siswa pondok pesatren di Kabupaten Bojonegoro masih terbilang kurang, perlu ada nya penelitian lanjutan untuk mengetahui penyebab sebenarnya dan menilai dari berbagai aspek selain variabel yang diteliti pada penelitian ini.

Abstract

komponem daya ledak menjadi faktor yang penting dalam menunjang performa permainan ketikapertandingan, kemampuan meloncat sangat di pengaruhi oleh daya ledak otot tungkai dimanakontraksi antara kekuatan dan kecepatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental.Sampel yang dgunakan dalam adalah peserta ekstrakurikuler basket putra yang berjumlah 40 orang.Hasil penelitian di dapatkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan terbukti t-hitung 12.253 untukpelatihan lari kepiting dan 12.034 untuk nilai pelatihan melewati 10 rintangan tinggi 30 cm. tidak adaperbedaan pengaruh diantara kedua pelatihan terbukti dari t-hitung 1.615, nilai tersebut lebih kecildari batas atas penolakan hipotesis nol dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Pelatihan lari kepiting dan larimelewati rintangan sama-sama disarankan untuk dijadikan program latihan peningkatan daya ledakotot tungkai untuk cabang olahraga bola basket. Diharapkan kedapanya penelitian sejenis dapatdilakukan dengan memasukan lebih banyak variabel sehingga akan didapatkan hasil yang lebihmaksimal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to look into the use of technology analysis in physical education. The PRISMA standards for systematic reviews and meta-analyses were followed in this review investigation. The study must have been published within the prior five years, from 2020 to 2025. In the search procedure, the following keywords are used: (1) physical education and (2) technology. The search engines Scopus (Science Citation Index Expanded; Social Science Citation Index; Arts & Humanities Science Citation Index). This evaluation included the results of 10 articles. The study revealed two key findings: firstly, Physical Education Pre-Service Teachers (PPETs) frequently employed technology for planning, instructing, and assessing secondary PE classes while also encountering notable barriers in its implementation. Secondly, systematic instruction led to a significant increase in evaluation scores, highlighting the efficacy of structured teaching methods. Additionally, discussions in the article addressed theoretical and practical implications, limitations, and future directions, emphasizing the importance of integrating technology with a clear pedagogical purpose to impact student learning. Technology integration in physical education has enhanced teaching methods and safety, while e-learning adoption in Indonesia requires infrastructure improvements. Additionally, challenges persist in healthcare, including evaluating vaccine models and implementing blockchain technology.

Abstract

Background: Flexibility is a critical component of archery performance, where biomechanical demands such as postural stabilization and bow draw-release mechanics require optimal posterior chain mobility. This study aimed to evaluate a 12-week tailored flexibility program in improving posterior chain mobility in elite archers with flexibility deficits. Methods: This pretest-posttest pre-experimental study involved 30 elite archers (15 males, 15 females; ages 17–43 years) with baseline sit-and-reach deficits (≤25 cm). A 12-week intervention program combined dynamic-progressive stretching, myofascial release, and mobility training based on archery biomechanical profiles. Flexibility was measured using the sit-and-reach test at weeks 0 (pretest), 6 (midtest), and 12 (posttest). Statistical analyses included tests for normality of Shapiro-Wilk, homogeneity of Levene's test, repeated measures ANOVA, and Bonferroni’s post-hoc. Results: There was a significant increase in sit-and-reach scores from pretest (13.2 ± 4.1 cm) to midtest (18.9 ± 4.7 cm; p< 0.001; d = 1.32) and posttest (22.6 ± 5.3 cm; p< 0.001; d= 2.01), with a large effect size (η² = 0.632). Homogeneous responses were observed across age and body mass index subgroups, indicating the adaptability of the personalized protocol. There was no significant difference between genders (p>0.05). Conclusion: A 12-week sport-specific flexibility intervention effectively improved posterior chain mobility in elite archers. These findings highlighted the importance of integrating personalized programs that consider biomechanical demands and regular assessment.

Abstract

Background. Kabaddi is a sport that requires good physical abilities, especially in kabaddi, where the legs are very important for both defensive and offensive players. Variations in the type of foot arch can affect weight distribution, movement efficiency, and postural stability. Objectives. This study aims to analyze the influence of foot arch type (normal arch vs. high arch) on leg muscle explosive power and balance among Kabaddi athletes from Bali’s provincial training camp. Methods. The research employs a quantitative comparative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consists of 25 athletes (12 males and 13 females) selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Staheli Footprint Index (SFI) to assess foot shape, a vertical jump test for explosive power, and a stork stand test for balance. Statistical analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality and the Mann-Whitney U test for group comparison. Results. Based on the statistical analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test, this study concludes that there are no significant differences between normal arch and high arch foot types in terms of leg muscle explosive power (p = 0.969) and balance (p = 0.238) among Kabaddi athletes from Bali’s provincial training camp. Conclusion. Further studies with larger and more comprehensive samples are recommended for more accurate results. These findings suggest that foot arch shape is not a primary determinant of Kabaddi athlete performance, and that other factors such as specific training and muscle strength may have a greater impact.
