Abstract

Antioxidants can bind free radicals, inhibit oxidative stress, stimulate oxygen and tighten the skin so as to prevent premature aging. An increase in the number of free radicals, an increase in age, and excessive exposure to ultraviolet light can accelerate the aging process or cause premature aging. Premature aging can be prevented by using cosmetics that contain natural antioxidants derived from plants. There are many herbal plants that are empirically used by the Baduy community as potential antioxidants. Proof of antioxidant activity can be done by testing the effects on each herbal plant conducted by several previous researchers. The purpose of this article is to provide information about which plants have the potential as antioxidants as cosmetic raw materials through journal literature searches in electronic databases. Some herbal plants in Baduy outside are papaya, cat whiskers, miana, weeds, kencur, guava, red ginger, betel nut, secang and kecombrang. Secondary metabolites in plants that are most influential as cosmetics include flavonoids and phenolics.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the context of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) with the theme "Build the Soul and Body." The main focus of this research is to explore how applying this theme in the curriculum can affect students' character-building and competency development. This research also explores the effectiveness of applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in implementing the P5 project. Using the PjBL model allows students to develop creativity and independence because they can process ideas and carry out various project activities independently. The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, discussions, and direct field research. The data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach, which is expected to provide valuable insights for curriculum development that is more relevant to future educational needs and contribute to the understanding of strengthening the learner profile of Pancasila through a project-based learning approach. The implementation results show that learners can understand the importance of maintaining mental and physical health and develop 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. These findings suggest that integrating PjBL in the Merdeka Curriculum can be an effective strategy for building learner competencies following the values of the Pancasila Learner Profile.

Abstract

The e-commerce transaction system, as a novel phenomenon unknown in early Islam, necessitates the establishment of legal rulings relevant to Sharia principles, one of which is through the method of qiyas. This research aims to examine the relevance of qiyas as a method of istinbat (derivation of Islamic law) in the context of e-commerce transactions, particularly concerning its validity and application. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach, focusing on classical and contemporary literature discussing the qiyas method and its implementation in e-commerce transaction law. The findings indicate that various forms of e-commerce transactions share legal commonalities (illat) with classical muamalah contracts, thus allowing for analogical deduction (qiyas). The implementation of qiyas in e-commerce transactions encompasses three aspects: 1) transactions in general, 2) the use of internet services, and 3) the payment process.

Abstract

Salah satu mata kuliah yang harus ditempuh oleh mahasiswa adalah al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK). Mata kuliah tersebut sebagai mata kuliah khusus di perguruan tinggi Muhammadiyah, akan tetapi latar belakang mahasiswa yang belajar di kampus sangat beragam dari berbagai macam sudut. Agar AIK dapat dipahami dan diterima dengan maksimal oleh mahasiswa maka perlu pendekatan, salah satunya pendekatan dakwah kultural dengan prinsip tabsyir, islah dan tajdid. Tabsyir berarti menggembirakan, islah artinya perbaikan dan tajdid berarti pengembangan atau pembaharuan. Prinsip dakwah kultural tersebut kemudian diaplikasikan pada model (desain) pembelajaran al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan yang mencakup capaian, materi, strategi dan penilaian. Dengan pendekatan dakwah kultural ini, model pembelajaran AIK dapat terlaksana dengan penuh humanism.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore approaches to strengthening character education, describe Al-Islam and Muhammadiyahan learning models, and analyze supporting and inhibiting factors for strengthening character education through Al-Islam and Muhammadiyahan based on the Independent Curriculum. This research is field research with a qualitative approach at SMK Muhammadiyah Sampang. The technique for taking subjects in this research used purposive sampling, data was obtained by interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this research explain that strengthening character education is carried out through several activities such as the habit of tadarus, midday prayers in congregation, midday prayers, Friday routine studies, and Sunday morning studies. These activities are integrated with ISMUBA subjects which include aqidah, morals, worship, al-Qur'an, dates, muhammadiyahan and Arabic. The ISMUBA learning model uses the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model by presenting factual cases related to the material to be studied. Supporting factors for strengthening character education are the professionalism of human resources (teachers and staff), massive training and workshops in the Independent Curriculum. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the absence of guidebooks for students and teachers, low student interest and awareness of ISMUBA material, and family background.

Abstract

Aging is an unavoidable physiological process. The process of premature aging is prevented using natural anti-aging cosmetics derived from plants. Cosmetics can be used as anti-aging products. Therefore, plants can be used as substitutes for anti-aging chemicals with fewer side effects. There are many herbal plants that are empirically used by the Baduy community and have potential as anti-aging agents with tyrosinase inhibitory and antioxidant activities. Evidence of anti-aging activity can be obtained by testing the effects of each herbal plant, which has been conducted by several researchers previously. The purpose of this article is to provide information on which plants have the potential as anti-aging agents for cosmetic raw materials thru a literature review of journals in electronic databases. The results obtained from several plants such as Carica papaya L., Kaempferia galanga, Psidium guajava, Zingiber officinale var. Rubrum, Piper bettle, Caesalpinia sappan L, and Etlingera elatior (Jack) R.M. Sm have tyrosinase inhibitory activity. Orthosiphon stamineus B., Coleus scutellarioides (L.) Benth, and Imperata cylindrica (L) Beauv., the cogongrass plant, use an antioxidant approach as anti-aging. In conclusion, all herbal plants from the Baduy tribe have the potential as raw materials for anti-aging cosmetics

Abstract

The Qur'an, as the unchangeable word of Allah, forms the foundation of a Muslim's religious life. The act of memorizing the Qur'an (Tahfidzul Qur'an) is a core spiritual practice vital for developing strong religious character based on integrative AIK, which serves as essential social capital for problem-solving in society. This qualitative research aimed to three-fold: to identify the Tahfidzul Qur'an training model, to analyze the process of religious character formation based on integrative AIK via the program, and to pinpoint the enabling and hindering factors at the Darul Arqom Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School in Jono Bayan, Purworejo. The research gathered data from key informants, including teachers, caregivers, three supervisors, and four students, using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the training model successfully integrates habit-forming routine based on integrative AIK, reward systems, and a personalized approach for students. The program is significantly supported by robust institutional management and clear delegation of authority to the instructional staff. Conversely, key inhibiting factors that challenge character formation include a lack of sufficient supervisors, scheduling conflicts between mentors and students, and student exhaustion due to demanding school activities.

Abstract

Al-Quran adalah firman Allah SWT yang keasliannya selalu terjaga. Salah satu kewajiban utama umat Islam terhadap Al Quran adalah membacanya dan menghafalnya dengan baik. Menghafal Al Quran dapat membentuk karakter religius seseorang. Oleh karena itu, religiusitas menjadi modal utama untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang muncul di masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui model pembinaan Tahfidzul Qur'an, menganalisis pembentukan karakter religius melalui Tahfidzul Qur'an dan menemukan faktor pendukung dan penghambat pembentukan karakter religius kader melalui program Tahfidzul Qur'an di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Ajibarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah pengasuh, 3 musyrif dan 4 kader Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Ajibarang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: pertama, model pembinaan Tahfidzul Qur'an di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Ajibarang menggunakan model pembinaan pembiasaan, pemberian reward dan pendekatan individual. Kedua, faktor pendorongnya, pengurus memberikan dukungan yang besar dan memberikan tanggung jawab penuh kepada pengasuh dan jajaran asatidz. Sedangkan faktor penghambat, kurangnya tenaga musyrif, masalah waktu antara musyrif dengan kader dan faktor kelelahan kader setelah mengikuti kegiatan belajar mengajar di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using I-Board (Islamic Board Game) as an instructional innovation to enhance student participation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ajibarang. The background of this study is based on the low level of student engagement in traditional and monotonous PAI teaching methods. I-Board was designed as an interactive learning medium capable of creating a collaborative, positively competitive, and enjoyable learning atmosphere. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of PAI teachers and students from classes that implemented the I-Board media. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, following the model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that the implementation of I-Board effectively improves both the quality and quantity of student participation, as evidenced by increased involvement in asking questions, providing answers, participating in discussions, and actively engaging in the learning process. Furthermore, this media assists teachers in managing the classroom in a more dynamic and interactive manner.

Abstract

This study aims to design an innovative Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah (AIK) curriculum based on a deep learning pedagogical framework to strengthen the formation of Muhammadiyah identity among students at Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto. The research addresses the limitations of conventional AIK learning models that remain predominantly cognitive, normative, and ritualistic, and have not yet effectively facilitated value internalization and identity construction. The study employs a design-based research (DBR) approach by integrating Muhammadiyah theological foundations, educational psychology of identity formation, and deep learning pedagogy. The curriculum design is developed through iterative stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Deep learning principles applied include meaningful learning, reflective engagement, critical consciousness, value internalization, and transformative praxis. Data were generated through document analysis, focus group discussions, expert validation, and limited pilot implementation within the AIK learning context. The study produces a structured AIK curriculum model consisting of learning outcomes, learning pathways, instructional strategies, learning activities, assessment frameworks, and identity-based learning indicators. The model is organized into four integrative dimensions: theological grounding, ideological internalization, socio-cultural engagement, and civic-ethical praxis. The curriculum systematically transforms AIK learning from doctrinal transmission into a process of identity formation, enabling students to embody Muhammadiyah values in personal, social, and civic life. This research offers an original contribution by integrating deep learning pedagogy with Islamic curriculum design and identity-based education within Muhammadiyah higher education. Practically, the model provides a scalable and adaptable framework for AIK curriculum reform across Muhammadiyah universities, supporting sustainable character formation, ideological internalization, and transformative student development in Islamic higher education institutions.
