Abstract

This study aims to develop performance assessment instruments in the MI (Multiple Intelligences) based basketball game by: (1) proving the validity of the content of the instrument, (2) proving the validity of the instrument construct, (3) conducting a model fit analysis and item fit with IRT (Item Response Theory), and (4) analyzing the effectiveness of the developed instrument product. Methods in developing assessment models using IDDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research subjects used were 1053 students in five schools in five districts in Yogyakarta Province. The development of a scoring model resulted in (1) the validity of the contents of the five raters using the V-Aiken method yielding a value of 0.92; (2) the validity of the performance instrument construct shows 28 aspects of the warning with a loading factor of >0.3; (3) the fit model for this instrument matches the ability of the learner between -4.817 to 2.24; (4) the effectiveness of the product showed a high value, i.e., 38% of users felt "very satisfied," 56% of users felt "satisfied," and 6% of users felt "dissatisfied."

Abstract

Background and Study Aim. Chronic ankle injury is a common problem that results in prolonged pain and limited range of motion (ROM). This study aims to compare the effectiveness of Ali Satia Graha Method of Sports Injury Therapy Masage with Thai Massage in reducing pain and increasing ROM in chronic ankle injuries.Material and Methods. This study used a Quasi Experiment design with Two Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The subjects in this study were determined by perposive sampling technique, so a sample of 30 male patients aged 25-50 years was taken. Where the patient has a chronic ankle injury. In this study the subjects were given treatment in the form of sports injury massage therapy with the Ali Satia Graha and Thai Massage methods. The instrument in this study is a numeric rating scale (NRS) for pain measurement and a goniometer with units of degrees for range of motion. Analysis in this study was assisted by using the SPSS version 26 application.Results. The results showed a value of F = 7.370 p = 0.001, which indicates a significant difference between the two methods. The results of the analysis showed that the Ali Satia Graha Method of Sports Injury Therapy Masage was more effective than Thai Massage in reducing pain and increasing overall ROM, including plantarflexion and dorsiflexion. Ali Satia Graha's Massage technique, which combines friction and effleurage, provides deep tissue stimulation and helps to significantly reduce local inflammation. In contrast, Thai Massage excels at rapidly increasing joint flexibility through emphasis on acupressure pathways and active stretching.Conclusion. Based on these findings, the Ali Satia Graha method of massage therapy is recommended as a primary option in healing chronic ankle injuries, specifically to reduce pain and improve ROM.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Continuous Running Exercise on Increasing Physical Fitness for S1 students of the Sports Science Study Program, Faculty of Sports Science, Padang State University class of 2021/2022. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method. The population in this study were 215 undergraduate students of the FIK UNP Sports Science Study Program, class of 2021/2022. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling, with a total sample of 20 people. The data collection technique uses a physical fitness test research instrument with a 1600 m rockport run. The results of the study were analyzed statistically using a comparison test (t-test) at a significance level of 5%. The results of this study indicate that the average level of physical fitness of the respondents before being given treatment was (45.30), whereas after being given treatment it was (50.35). There is a significant effect of Continuous Running Exercise on Increasing Physical Fitness of Students of the Sports Science Study Program, Faculty of Sports Science, Padang State Universitywith the results showing the tcount value (4.25) > ttable value (1.73).

Abstract

The study's objectives are to i) develop a test kit to determine the ability of multiple intelligences (MI) to play basketball in high school and ii) measure a student's MI test ability in playing basketball. The method used is the development of instruments with analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE). The study subjects comprised five schools in five districts in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. With a total sample of 1029 students. The results showed i) that test kits developed to assess students' MI abilities meet valid and reliable requirements. It can be seen from the validity of the contents of V-Aiken (0.96) and the validity of the construct, namely the loading factor 0.3. With the analysis of the item classically, it detects that the level of difficulty and differentiability of the problem is good and according to the criteria; ii) the results of MI capability measurements show 55% of capabilities with the "high" category, 35% with the "medium" category, and 10% with the "low" category.
