Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect, of economic, academic, and social environment on the career choices of vocational students after graduating from vocational high school. The method used in this research is the postmodern phenomenology model. The location of research was conducted at SMK Negeri 9 Surakarta. Data collection techniques in research use several methods and are adapted to the circumstances and data needs needed in research. The data collection method consisted of observation, interviews, and document analysis. The process of obtaining data in research goes through the following stages: (1) the orientation or description stage; (2) the reduction or focus stage; (3) the selection stage. The result of this research is that the economic factor comes from the income of parents and the income of vocational students. Academic achievement factors come from the interests, talents, and personal motivation of students and parents. Social factors come from the family and community environment.

Abstract

This study explores the role of teaching material products and job sheets in the implementation of project-based learning at SMK Mikael Surakarta. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study method. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews. The research design uses an ethnographic design. Informants as resource persons were vice principals in the field of curriculum, heads of machining engineering competency skills, heads of production units, and teachers of machining engineering practice. The data that has been collected is then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Validity testing uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. This research shows that schools can fulfill the procurement of equipment and materials in stages. Based on the findings, learning tools provide support for project-based learning in the form of (1) preparing job sheet documents as a learning tool for students during practice. The job sheet is in the form of material stages to achieve student competency targets. (2) ensure that the results of objects that students work on through the competency stages can be used as products with use value.

Abstract

In contrast to previous research, the professional competency test of building engineering expert schemes offer blended integration assessment through the application of media mockup and ICT devices that are appropriate to the industry so that the assessment plays an active role in solving the problems to achieve the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) characteristics. The research purpose is to implement integration tests in the cognitive domain, and skills domain of the student end semester university to reach competence according to the Indonesian Standard of Professional Certification (BNSP). The research uses a mixed method, consisting of descriptive quantitative to analyze the data collection before and after the implementation model integration test, and qualitative to have deeper findings of research. The result of the competency test for understanding the planning guidelines in reinforced concrete structures (SNI) after using the mockup media showed that the participants were 16 assesses, were 8 students in the competent category, 7 students were included in the good competent category, and 1 student was included in the excellent competent. This research concluded that All of the assessees passed the competence level on their national professional certification competence (BNSP).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Capaian Nilai Siswa sebelum diterapkan PjBL Blended Tutor Sebaya di kelas XI (2) Penerapan PjBL Blended Tutor Sebaya di kelas XI. (3) Capaian Nilai Siswa Setelah Penerapan BjBL Blended Tutor Sebaya pada kelas XI (4) Perbedaan Nilai siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan PjBL Blended Tutor Sebaya kelas XI DPIB SMK Ganesha Tama Boyolali. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan seluruh populasi sebagai sampel. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan tes hasil belajar, mencakup tiga aspek: pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap, yang dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata nilai awal siswa: aspek pengetahuan 57, keterampilan 59, dan sikap 58. Setelah perlakuan, rata-rata meningkat menjadi 82 untuk pengetahuan, 77 untuk keterampilan, dan 75 untuk sikap. Model ini memiliki delapan sintak, termasuk pre-test, penentuan kelompok, pelaksanaan proyek, hingga evaluasi. Peningkatan rata-rata pada aspek pengetahuan sebesar 20%, keterampilan 17%, dan sikap 18%, dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikan (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (<0,05), menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara nilai sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model PjBL Blended Tutor Sebaya.

Abstract

BIM (Building Information Modeling) merupakan teknologi yang berguna dalam membuat proses pekerjaan lebih efektif dan efisien pada industri konstruksi. Terdapat berbagai macam cara mengadopsi teknologi ini, salah satunya memanfaatkan platform software berbasis BIM seperti Autodesk Revit. Permasalahan yang melatar belakangi penelitian ini yaitu masih sedikit praktisi yang menggunakan BIM di Indonesia dan belum adanya pembelajaran Revit dan BIM dalam perkuliahan di Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui hasil pengembangan video pembelajaran Revit sebagai bahan belajar pemodelan bangunan berbasis BIM, dan (2) Menganalisis hasil kelayakan video pembelajaran Revit sebagai bahan belajar pemodelan bangunan berbasis BIM. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research & Development (R&D) level 1. Hasil dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini yaitu terciptanya video pembelajaran Revit sebagai bahan belajar pemodelan bangunan berbasis BIM. Hasil penilaian kelayakan rancangan produk video pembelajaran Revit oleh ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli pembelajaran memperoleh nilai rata-rata 84% dikategorikan sangat layak, dan penilaian dari mahasiswa PTB UNS memperoleh nilai rata-rata 84% dikategorikan sangat layak.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Desa Blimbing di Kecamatan Gatak, Kabupaten Sukoharjo, memiliki potensi besar untuk mengembangkan batik ecoprint, yaitu teknik pewarnaan kain yang ramah lingkungan dengan menggunakan bahan alami. Namun, masyarakat menghadapi beberapa masalah, seperti kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang teknik ini. Tujuan: Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diadakan pelatihan pembuatan batik berbasis ecoprint dengan tujuan meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan warga setempat, sekaligus mengukur tingkat kepuasan peserta terhadap pelatihan tersebut. Metode: Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR), yang memberdayakan masyarakat dengan melibatkan mereka secara aktif dalam setiap tahap pelatihan. Hasil: Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepuasan peserta berada pada angka 63%, yang menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta merasa puas dan berhasil memahami teknik ecoprint. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan masyarakat Desa Blimbing, serta memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman mereka terkait ecoprint.

Abstract

This study explores the role of inspirational leadership, often identified with transformational leadership, in enhancing academic achievement within vocational high schools. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with PRISMA methodology, the research synthesizes findings from 40 articles published between 2018 and 2024. The PRISMA approach is utilized for analysis. Data in systematic reviews that aim to screen, evaluate, and transparently report literature. The steps of data analysis with PRISMA involve a process of identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion of relevant literature. The analysis highlights the capacity of transformational leadership to foster collaboration, innovation, and motivation among school stakeholders. It underscores the influence of leadership in integrating entrepreneurial values, developing innovative teaching methods, and creating an inclusive school culture. The study also identifies a significant research gap in understanding the direct application of transformational leadership in vocational contexts. Recommendations are made for school leaders to implement transformational leadership practices aligned with contemporary educational challenges, focusing on equipping students with both academic and practical skills for the workforce.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Special Work Placement Unit (SJPU) in Vocational High Schools (VHS) in channeling graduates into the world of work. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and bibliometric analysis with VOSviewer, this study identified trends and gaps in previous research. With the PICO (Problem, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) step, the main questions asked include the effectiveness of SJPU in distributing graduates and their supporting and inhibiting factors. The results of the study show that SJPU plays an important role in tracer studies, job training, and partnerships with the business/industry world. However, the limitations of management personnel, ineffective communication of alumni, and the incompatibility of graduate competencies with industry needs are still the main challenges. Therefore, the optimization of SJPU needs to be carried out through increased cooperation with industry, the use of digital technology in employment information, and the alignment of the curriculum with the needs of the job market. This strategic recommendation is expected to help vocational education stakeholders in increasing the absorption of VHS graduates and strengthening the role of SJPU as a link between the world of education and the world of work.
