Abstract

Energy needs in Indonesia in particular and in the world, in general, continue to increase due to population growth, economic growth, and the pattern of energy consumption itself. This situation is compounded by the high demand for fuel oil that is accompanied by a decrease in production capacity. According to the national energy management blueprint issued by the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (DESDM), petroleum reserves in Indonesia will be exhausted within another 18 years, while gas is expected to run out in 60 years and coal 147 years from 2006. With the latest technological developments and welcoming 21st Century learning, it is very important to develop energy-efficient school models. Especially through the application of hybrid technology that can be implemented at the school. The activity carried out was to introduce the use of solar technology and wind power together. The assistance activities include Explanation of the development of energy-saving school models, Implementation of hybrid technology applications in schools and Evaluation of energy-saving school assistance.

Abstract

The low work readiness of vocational education (VE) graduates is caused by a mismatch of competencies with job demands. The unemployment rate for VE graduates is increasing due to low competency mastery and job absorption. The purpose of this study is to determine the competency needs of architectural engineering graduates according to the current demand for the construction industry. The research sample consisted of 193 respondents consisting of VE teachers and practitioners from the construction industry in Indonesia. The Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling (CB-SEM) analysis is used for the evaluation of the structural models of architectural engineering competency demands. The results of the analysis test using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) show that the construct validity of the evaluation model is in a good category. The evaluation model testing met the statistical criteria of goodness of fit. The model substantially explains 89.75% of the various competencies that must be mastered by architectural engineering graduates and suitable for use in Indonesia and other countries.

Abstract

Vocational education (VE) is one of the institutions that must answer environmental problems by providing green job skills to its students. However, VE in Indonesia still experience various obstacles in providing this provision, so the aim of this research aims to analyze the extent of the level of green skills (GS) in teachers and students in this country, which includes the dimensions of cognitive, interpersonal and intrapersonal competence as an illustration for developing a priority scale for improvement. In addition, examining the differences and correlations between dimensions and the contribution of dimensions to GS as a whole is an additional goal. The survey method was carried out using a generic GS questionnaire instrument in VE that have Adiwiyata status. Data were analyzed using three stages: descriptive analysis, ANOVA-post hoc Tukey test, and path analysis. As a result, students’ GS still show a low category, while teachers get a high category. Between dimensions show no significant differences. Finally, all competencies have a significant relationship and can construct overall GS. These results indicate that there is still a need to strengthen teacher competencies in GS-based learning management and strengthen collaboration with all levels of society.
