Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of community participation and the availability of sports resources in Isimu Village, Tibawa District, Gorontalo Regency. This research is important to identify factors that influence community participation in sports activities and the availability and quality of sports resources in the village. In general, this study aims to uncover the challenges and opportunities in developing community-based sports in Isimu Village. Previous research has shown that community participation in sports activities can be influenced by various factors, including available facilities, education level, and social support. Data were collected from 53 randomly selected respondents through a questionnaire that measured the level of participation in sports, as well as perceptions of sports facilities and instructor support. The results showed that although 71.7% of respondents had exercised in the past 3 months and 54.7% exercised regularly, 62.3% of respondents considered the sports facilities in the village inadequate. Furthermore, 67.9% of respondents stated that the lack of instructors or coaches was a major barrier to sports participation. This study concluded that improving sports facilities and providing competent instructors is urgently needed to increase community participation in sports, which in turn will have a positive impact on the health and fitness of the village community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of sports teachers in increasing student interest in extracurricular sports activities at the junior high school level. A literature review was conducted by reviewing various articles and previous studies that discuss factors influencing student participation in extracurricular sports, particularly the role of sports teachers. The results of the study indicate that sports teachers who have a supportive, communicative approach and are able to provide positive motivation play a key role in attracting student interest. In addition, teacher involvement in direct coaching and the quality of sports facilities at school also play an important role in increasing student participation. These findings emphasize the importance of developing sports teacher competencies and improving sports facilities at schools to encourage more active student participation in extracurricular sports activities

Abstract

Program pelatihan tinju inklusif ini bertujuan memberdayakan pemuda Gorontalo melalui peningkatan kesehatan, prestasi, dan karakter, sekaligus mengatasi tantangan seperti kualitas pelatih, fasilitas terbatas, dan persepsi negatif masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup tiga intervensi utama: (1) pelatihan dan sertifikasi bagi 15 pelatih lokal, (2) edukasi masyarakat melalui roadshow di 5 titik lokasi, dan (3) pendirian sanggar tinju inklusif percontohan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan capaian yang signifikan: partisipasi pemuda meningkat 40% (dari 50 menjadi 70 partisipan aktif), insiden cedera menurun 30%, dan survei persepsi menunjukkan 85% responden masyarakat menyatakan pandangan yang lebih positif terhadap tinju sebagai olahraga edukatif. Diskusi mengidentifikasi bahwa keberhasilan program ditunjang oleh pendekatan pelatih bersertifikasi dan edukasi publik, meski keterbatasan infrastruktur tetap menjadi hambatan. Kesimpulannya model pemberdayaan ini terbukti efektif dan berpotensi sebagai kerangka kerja berkelanjutan untuk pengembangan olahraga daerah yang inklusif, dengan rekomendasi utama untuk penguatan fasilitas pendukung pada fase selanjutnya.
