Abstract

It has been devoted an activity in community in application of science and technology with the title: Design and Utilization Hydroponic Vertical Hydro 40 Hole for Karang Taruna Tri Tunggal in Talang Pauh Village, Pondok Kelapa District, Central Bengkulu. This dedication destination to design and utilize hydroponic vertical hydro technology as one of the ground breaking technological break throughs in rural areas to complement the vegetable needs for house hold scale. From the results of the implementation of dedication can be concluded that hydroponic technology vertical model of 40 holes hydro can be well received by the participant’s devotion. The plant species are mustard, this plant can grow well from two weeks old, although the harvest period for mustard plants is estimated to 35-50 days. Keywords: hydroponic, vertical hydro, 40 hole, house hold scale, Talang Pauh Village

Abstract

Sediment transport caused by longshore current impact on the occurrence of rapid sedimentation of the coastal at Teluk Segara District Bengkulu City. The research aimed to determine the velocity of longshore current, wave energy and sediment transport happened of the coastal at Teluk Segara District which includes of the coastal at pasar Bengkulu, the coastal at Zakat, and the coastal at Pondok Besi. The method used in the research is a direct measurement in the field with the measured parameter is the height of a breaking wave, wave period, angle of breaking wave, and the velocity of longshore current. The results showed in the coastal at pasar Bengkulu average velocity of longshore current is 0.12 m/s, the wave energy is 390.16 N/m, and sediment transport is 110.956 m3/day. The coastal at Zakat average velocity of longshore current is 0.06 m/s, the wave energy is 289.52 N/m, and sediment transport is 51.085 m3/day. While the coastal at Pondok Besi average velocity of longshore current is 0.02 m/s, the wave energy is 200.20 N/m, and sediment transport is 16.026 m3/day. Abstract

Abstrak Perubahan garis pantai di suatu kawasan dapat berupa sedimentasi atau abrasi yang mengakibatkan terganggunya keseimbangan ekosistem yang ada di pesisir pantai tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jenis dan besarnya laju perubahan garis pantai Kabupaten Kaur Provinsi Bengkulu serta mengidentifikasi parameter yang mempengaruhinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitiaan ini adalah analisis kuantitatif dan deskriptif dari hasil pengolahan data citra satelit selama 10 tahun (2006-2016), serta survey lapangan secara langsung sebagai data verifikasi. Hasil penelitian yang didapat selama 10 tahun terakhir adalah perubahan garis pantai akibat abrasi dengan laju rata-rata abrasinya sebesar 12,63-18,48 meter/tahun. Laju abrasi tertinggi terdapat di daerah Muara Sambat (Maje). Sedangkan laju rata-rata sedimentasinya sebesar 10,62-18,74 meter/tahun dengan laju sedimentasi tertinggi di daerah semidang Gumai. Parameter yang mempengaruhi perubahan garis pantai ini adalah faktor alam dan manusia, yaitu bentuk morfologi pantai, ketinggian gelombang laut, material penyusun dinding pantai serta manusia yang melakukan penambangn pasir yang tidak terkendali. Kata-kata Kunci: Perubahan garis pantai, abrasi, sedimentasi, citra Satelit Abstract The changes of the shoreline in an area can be a sedimentation or abrasion which resulted in disruption of the existing ecosystem balance on the coast. The aim of this research is to know the types and magnitude of the rate of shoreline changes in Kaur Regency of Bengkulu Province and to identify the parameters that influenced it. The method that used in this research is quantitative and descriptive analysis of satellite image data for 10 years (2006-2016), and direct field measurement that used as verification data. Based on analysis result has obtained that in during 10 years in the past, shoreline changes due to abrasion with an average of abrasion rate is 12.63-18.48 meters / year. The highest abrasion rate is in Muara Sambat (Maje). The average rate of sedimentation is 10.62-18,74 meters / year. The highest sedimentation rate in Semidang Gumai. The parameters to affecting the shoreline change are natural and human factors, ie coastal morphology, sea wave height, coastal wall and human sand mining materials. Abstract

The Zonation of Abration Speed Characteristics and its Handling Technique of Jalinbar of North Bengkulu as Vital Band Transportation. Jalinbar Bengkulu is a vital infrastructure for traffic service, goods, agriculture products, mining, plantation and oils distribution. Abration due to scour of seawater often make these roads jammed and discrupts the peoples economy movement. The aims of this research was to investigate the abration speed of all segment of Jalinbar. The research method was a combination of two methods: A determination of swash energy of sea water using photometer and determination of rocks binding energy using douche method. The result shows that the maximum abration speed was in north area of Bengkulu beach, occurred in Air Dikit I, Urai I, and Urai II. The abration speed was 2-2,5 m/year. The other abration speed occurred in Air Petai, Palik, Pekik Nyaring in 0,5-1 m/year. On the other hand, Pasar Ketahun, Selolong, Air Serangai I, Air Serangai II, Kota Agung, Ulu Danau and Harapan was 1-2 m/year. The handling technique of all abration location of Jalinbar Bengkulu, north area using groin and jetty, except for Air Dikit and Urai I using jetty. Beside that, the handling technique for Air Serangai II using a combination of groin, jetty, and gabions.

Abstract

Bengkulu City which is located on the west coast of Sumatra Island has a very prospective to be developed for marine, fisheries, tourism, and maritime businesses. However, the coast of Bengkulu has recently changed in its morphology as a result of high sedimentation processes. The purpose of this study is to determine the direction and speed of currents, waves, and sediment transport that cause the changes in the coastal morphology of Bengkulu City. In this study, numerical modeling and field measurements of the current velocity and wave height of the ocean were used. The results of the research show verification of wave height and velocity of ocean currents between model simulation and field measurement is a fairly good fit, with a Mean Absolute Percent Error (MAPE) of 1.5% for wave height and 1.9% for the current velocity. The hydrodynamic simulation shows that the direction of the waves and currents dominantly come from the West and move towards the Northeast of the coastal of Bengkulu City with an average wave height of 2.5 m and the highest wave height of 6.5 m, the lowest wave height of 0.5 m, and the highest and the lowest of current speed is 2.5 m.s-1 and is 0.5 m.s-1, respectively. The simulation of sediment transport shows that the overall net volume is sedimented at about 20.25 m3.y-1. The model of coastal morphology changes shows that the sedimentation occurs in the northeast direction of the coastal of Bengkulu City, from Sungai Hitam Beach to Tapak Paderi Beach, and at Pulau Baai Beach.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan kegiatan Pengabdian Pembinaan Fakultas MIPA Universitas Bengkulu dengan judul: Budidaya Tanaman Sawi Hijau (Brassica juncea. L) Menggunakan Teknologi Irigasi Kapilaritas Bagi Kelompok PKK di Desa Talang Pauh Kecamatan Pondok kelapa Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan tambahan kepada kelompok PKK Desa Talang Pauh untuk mengoptimalkan fungsi pekarangan dengan membudidayakan sawi hijau sebagai salah satu sumber gizi keluarga, serta melakukan penanaman sawi hijau di pekarangan dengan teknologi irigasi kapilaritas. Dari hasil pelaksanaan Pengabdian Pembinaan Fakultas MIPA Unib Tahun 2021, khalayak sasaran dalam hal ini kelompok PKK Desa Talang Pauh dapat mengoptimalkan fungsi pekarangan dengan membudidayakan sawi hijau sebagai salah satu sumber gizi keluarga, serta melakukan penanaman sawi hijau di pekarangan dengan teknologi irigasi kapilaritas dengan baik, sampai sawi hijau dapat dipanen dan dikonsumsi dalam waktu 45 hari.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of rip currents on abrasion at Kota Bani Beach, North Bengkulu Regency. Through direct field measurements of current velocity, wave height, beach slope, and drone photo visualization, we classify Kota Bani Beach as a steep shoreline with up to 18° slope. Significantly, the eroded zone experiences the highest rip current occurrence, featuring current velocities of 1.9 m/s and wave heights of 1.72 m. Our findings underscore the influence of rip currents on beach abrasion, with the eroded zone exhibiting a pronounced susceptibility to rip current occurrence compared to the non-eroded zone. This research highlights the critical role of rip currents in coastal erosion processes, offering valuable insights for coastal management and mitigation strategies. Highlight: Rip Current Impact: Investigating the influence of rip currents on abrasion at Kota Bani Beach reveals a significant connection between these currents and shoreline erosion. Erosion Hotspot: The eroded zone experiences the highest rip current occurrence, characterized by notable current velocities (1.9 m/s) and wave heights (1.72 m). Management Insights: This study underscores the critical role of rip currents in driving coastal erosion, providing essential insights for developing effective coastal management and mitigation strategies. Abstract

The recent increase in community activity in the Air Manna Estuary of the South Bengkulu regency, will affect the physical condition of the estuary. Therefore, this research were to determine of the physical oceanographic parameters such as temperature, salinity, current velocity, tidal and the mixing type in the Air Manna estuary, South Bengkulu Regency at the transitional season I. The method used is the measurement of field data directly during high tide and low tide conditions as well as descriptive and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that the characteristics of the physical oceanographic pharameters in the Air Manna Estuary were influenced by tidal condition. The highest current speed at the mouth of the estuary is 2.6 m/s at low tide and 2.2 m/s at high tide, with the highest temperature in the upstream estuary of 27.49oC towards the sea during high tide conditions. The low salinity in the middle of the estuary of 0.99 ppt increases towards the sea with a relatively smaller distribution of salinity at low tide.The mixing type in the Air Manna Estuary is the Salt wedge estuary which has a well-certified mixing pattern, with an estuary number of 0.00019.

Abstract

In a criminal case, there are investigation and investigative procedures carried out by the competent authorities in accordance with the oldest procedures in the provisions regulated in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP). Arrests carried out by investigators are a form of special permission granted by law but this does not mean they can be carried out arbitrarily. Arrest is a very important legal process because it will affect the next stages of the legal process. Therefore, arrests must be carried out carefully, carefully and carefully by investigators. In Indonesia, several cases of victims of wrongful arrest often occur due to errors or negligence in the investigation and investigation process which are not in accordance with existing procedures or statutory regulations. This results in victims of wrongful arrest suffering both physically, psychologically and materially and receiving negative stigma from the public who knows about this. Mistakes in the arrest process have quite big consequences because if these mistakes are not immediately corrected they will continue in the following stages. If an error occurs in this process before the case is decided by the court, the suspect or his family can file a pre-trial hearing regarding the illegality of the arrest and can at the same time demand compensation.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren MA. Mambaul 'Ulum, which is located in Bengkulu Tengah Regency, Bengkulu Province, has an oyster mushroom business unit to support the operational needs of the school. Maintenance, especially baglog watering on oyster mushroom house, is carried out conventionally. Through service activities, a baglog sprinkler automation system was built that works based on humidity and temperature in the mushroom house. The system utilizes electrical energy sourced from solar panels that are integrated with an automatic sprinkler system. The method used in the target audience of service (teachers and students) starts from the initial coordination, then the delivery of the material in theory and practice, followed by the installation of the system as a whole and running and testing the system. Based on the test results, it was obtained that the system can run properly according to the conditions set on the automated system. The watering automatic system active while the oyster mushroom house in non-ideal environmental condition.
