Abstract

Research on student academic motivation in Islamic educational institutions is currently in need of attention, as there are many schools based on Islam that have been overlooked by researchers. This research aims to investigate the role of perceived teacher management skills, psychological well-being, and religiosity towards students’ academic motivation using data from Muslim participants. A cross-sectional design was used to achieve the research objectives. A total of 318 participants (Female=200, Male=118, age M=16.7, age SD=1.9) were voluntarily involved in this research. Participants were asked for their willingness to fill out five scales. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression after the required conditions were met. The results of the research indicate that academic motivation is well predicted by perceived teacher management skills and psychological well-being. These findings highlight the importance of teachers showing mastery of management skills, including skills in maintaining interpersonal relationships with students and parents, and designing programs that can foster the psychological well-being of students.

Abstract

This article aims to emphasise the contestation of higher education that was increasingly competitive, and even tending to be high disrupted competition in Indonesia by the lack of creativity in managing institutional strategies as well as in research culture. This qualitative research used in-depth interview, observation and documentation supported by the interactive analytical approach which consists of condensing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions with involving 7 informants from institutional leaders, lecturers and students. This study confirmed that UII Yogyakarta with its well-managed research program strategic management design, is increasingly able to deliver quality and competitive Islamic university with distinctive institutional excellences, both at the national and international levels, such as: the development of a creative economy industry based on entrepreneurship that is globally competitive; virtual environment development for education, government, and on so on. Therefore, UII Yogyakarta has higher competitiveness at the global level which can be an good example of quality research development for Indonesian Islamic higher education.

Abstract

Along with the pace of globalization, and the severity of educational competitions, not a few actors of Islamic higher education tried to integrate two 'educational entities' (university and pesantren), in an integrated education curriculum system. Some were successful, but not a few was failed. This qualitative research article is based on interactive model data analysis technique that aims to 'initiate' the efforts of integrated curriculum development model of excellent higher pesantren at UII Yogyakarta, considering its good institutional achievement, so it should be the pilot project of the integration effort. This research concluded that the indigenous values in integrated curriculum development based on its excellent pesantren are to be oriented at the value of establishment of a 'progressive-inclusive-integrative' scholars candidate. The challenges of its integrated curriculum development include the alignment of synergical idea of university values and modern pesantren; institutionalization of university and pesantren policies; and integrating the curriculum products of university-based pesantren and community service. While, the strategies of its integrated curriculum development are implementing a top down and bottom up approach that involve all its stakehoders through a forum for feasibility of pesantren curriculum development that supported by phases that are determination of the pesantren curriculum enforcement area, development procedures; curriculum implementation; and evaluation results. However, it still needs strengthening ‘the outsider’s perspective’, especially from the users of its pesantren curriculum products in order to be able more adaptive to global needs as the idea of Beauchamp

Abstract

This article aims to explain the urgency of pesantren-based vocational curriculum management in improving the quality of madrasa education in the current era of global competition. This research used a qualitative approach and the interactive analysis model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana to analyze the data. The results of this study confirm some aspects. First, the vocational curriculum planning at MA Nurul Jadid is based on the vision, mission, goals, and educational concepts that rely on a curriculum trilogy, including the madrasa curriculum, skills curriculum, and pesantren curriculum based on the study of the yellow book. Second, implementing the vocational curriculum at MA Nurul Jadid is structured, systematic, and integrated, allowing students to understand and master knowledge and skills proportionally. Third, the evaluation of the vocational curriculum at MA Nurul Jadid Probolinggo is done in a structured, detailed, and comprehensive manner. It is not only on the subject matter but also includes achievements in self-development, extracurricular, organizational, and the formation of national character and culture.

Abstract

This study describes how transformational leadership is the key to success in leading madrasah towards realizing competitive madrasah in the future, supported by high innovation and quality. This research was a case study with a qualitative approach. This research focused on pesantren-based transformational leadership in developing international madrasah innovation at MA Nurul Jadid Probolinggo. The research result shows that 1) the leadership idealism of the madrasah head is able to increase the commitment of madrasah stakeholders, realizing the integration of the international-national curriculums digital-based infrastructure; 2) the inspirational motivation of the madrasah head is able to provide encouragement to subordinates and to hone the potential of teachers, students, and education staff through innovative training so that they are able to achieve various awards; 3) the intellectual leadership stimulus in the form of madrasah head’s role as an agent of social change and problem-solving leader; 4) the Individual awareness of madrasah leadership in madrasah development is reflected in the ability of madrasah head to meet human resource needs according to global competency demands.

Abstract

Kerjasama antara Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) IAIN Ponorogo dengan Pemerintah Kabupaten Ponorogo dalam menyelesaikan Program Kajian Evaluasi Percepatan Penerapan dan Pencapaian Standart Pelayanan Minimal (Layanan Prima) di Kabupaten Ponorogo. Evaluasi ini merupakan kajian yang bersifat public needs evaluation (evaluasi terhadap kebutuhan publik) yang mendasarkan diri pada 2 pendekatan sekaligus (mixed methods), yaitu metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif, yang pada akhirnya diharapkan dapat menggali data secara komprehensif serta memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan berupa rekomendasi kebijakan bagi pengembangan program publik di Kabupaten Ponorogo, instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi serta kuesioner yang dikembangkan berdasarkan pada 4 (empat) macam informasi utama. Hasil evaluasi terhadap pelaksanaan pelayanan prima pada Satuan Kerja (Satker) di lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten Ponorogo yang terdiri dari Satker Dinas Kependudukan dan Catatan Sipil (Disukcapil), Dinas Pendidikan (Disdik), Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub), Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes), serta Dinas Sosial, Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi (Disnakertrans) yang mencakup 3 bahasan utama yaitu: (1). Kualitas kinerja satuan kerja (satker/unit) pelayanan prima di lingkungan Pemerintah Kabupaten Ponorogo berbasis penilaian standar ISO 9001:2008; (2). Tingkat kepuasan publik (pengguna) terhadap pelaksanaan layanan prima di lingkungan satuan kerja Pemerintah Kebupaten Ponorogo; serta (3) Pengaruh kualitas layanan prima terhadap tingkat kepuasan publik (pengguna) di lingkungan satuan kerja Pemerintah Kabupaten Ponorogo.

Abstract

Kementerian Agama sebagai kementerian yang menaungi pendidikan Islam, memiliki perhatian lebih terhadap kualitas pendidikan Islam. Kualitas pendidikan akan tercapai jika memiliki sistem penjaminan mutu yang baik secara internal maupun eksternal. Sesuai dengan Project Appraisal Document (PAD) bahwa salah satu program pada proyek komponen 1 adalah penerapan Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Madrasah berbasis elektronik (e-RKAM). Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Adapun kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi para pengelola (dalam hal ini Tim Inti Madrasah) untuk memahami sekaligus menerapkan penyusunan EDM dan e-RKAM. Inisiatif tersebut direspon dengan cepat yang dalam hal ini Jurusan Manajemen Pendidikan Islam dengan memberikan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dalam bentuk Workshop Penyusunan Evaluasi Diri Madrasah (EDM) dan Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Madrasah Berbasis Elektronik (e-RKAM) sebagai bentuk realisasi kerjasama dari kedua belah pihak guna peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Kegiatan workshop penyusunan EDM dan e-RKAM di MA Al Iman Putri Babadan Ponorogo terlaksana sangat baik dan lancar, terlihat dari peserta (Tim Inti Madrasah) sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan workshop tersebut baik pada kegiatan belajar mandiri secara online melalui platform sekolah.mu maupun pada saat offline melalui pendampingan praktek penyusunan EDM dan e-RKAMnya.

Abstract

Rendahnya kualitas penelitian baik yang dilakukan oleh siswa ataupun guru menjadikan program madrasah riset sebagai upaya untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir ilmiah, setidaknya madrasah memiliki suatu pemicu semangat dan memiliki suatu jalan/metode untuk berkembang lebih baik lagi tidak hanya dalam ranah nasional, namun juga internasional. Penelitian pengabdian ini dilakukan di MTsN 1 Nganjuk dengan menerapkan metode Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) melalui aspek-aspek Problem Based Approach, Need Based Approach, Right Based Approach, Asset Based Approach dalam menganalisis kebutuan program dan merumuskan tujuan pengabdian. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan kompetensi baik dari pendidik maupun peserta didik terhadap program madrasah riset serta desain impelementasinya yang dibuktikan dengan hasil penyusunan desain proposal penelitian dalam rangka menyusun karya tulis ilmiah berdampak pada meningkatnya kualitas manajemen madrasah khususnya dalam pengelolaan pengembangan program madrasah riset.

Abstract

AbstractPPTQ Al-Hasan Ponorogo, East Java, created syawir forum both as a conflict management activity and santri's learning activity with problem based learning method. This research focused on two things: how to implement conflict management through syawir forum in PPTQ Al-Hasan Ponorogo and learning concept based on the problem related to some programs that were created by syawir forum. This research was conducted using qualitative research method in the form of case study approach through observation, interview, and documentation as the data collection method. This research was also conducted using structured interview technique and snowball sampling to collect the data resources and determine informant resources. The result of this research showed that conflict management could be implemented in  a pesantren through syawir forum and a learning place for santri to comprehend and analyze conflicts in daily life when it comes to society. A conflict management that was implemented could create pesantren programs divided into internal programs and external programs as preventive and solution in pesantren to cope with existing conflicts. AbstrakPondok Pesantren Tachfidzul Qur’an Al-Hasan Ponorogo, Jawa Timur, menjadikan forum syawir sebagai wadah kegiatan manajemen konflik sekaligus kegiatan pembelajaran bagi santri dengan metode problem based learning. Penelitian ini berfokus pada dua hal; bagaimana pelaksanaan manajemen konflik melalui forum syawir di Pondok Pesantren al-Hasan Ponorogo dan konsep pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan program-program yang dihasilkan pada forum syawir. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif berupa pendekatan studi kasus dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian menggunakan teknik wawancara terstruktur dan snowball sampling dalam menggali sumber data dan menentukan sumber informan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan manajemen konflik dapat dilakukan dalam sebuah pesantren melalui forum syawir sekaligus dapat menjadi wadah pembelajaran bagi santri untuk memahami dan menganalisis konflik di kehidupan nyata saat terjun di masyarakat. Manajemen konflik yang dilakukan menghasilkan program-program pesantren yang dibagi menjadi program internal dan program eksternal sebagai upaya preventif dan solutif pesantren dalam menghadapi adanya konflik.
