Abstract

This study aims to 1) analyze the level of landslide susceptibility in District IX Koto, Dharmasraya Regency, 2) to determine the mitigation efforts of landslides in District IX Koto, Dharmasraya Regency. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of field surveys, field documentation and in the form of report data, as well as other supporting maps. The analysis used is an overlay of parameters that have been determined by scores and weights. The parameters used to analyze the landslide hazard are slope, rainfall, soil type and land use. The results showed that the area with a high level of vulnerability with an area of 158.24 Ha or 0,41% of the total area of Kecamatan IX Koto, the area with a moderate level of vulnerability with an area of 9,604 Ha or 18,9% of the total area of Kecamatan IX Koto and the area with a low level of vulnerability with an area of 40,812 Ha or 80,69% of the total area of Kecamatan IX Koto. There are several stages of disaster mitigation efforts, namely by making terracing in order to reduce the level of steepness of the slopes, evacuating residents whose houses were damaged by landslides and the rehabilitation stage clean up the rest of the destroyed buildings and landslide materials. Abstract

South Padang District has varied topography with steep slopes, making it prone to landslides, particularly during the rainy season. This vulnerability is exacerbated by uncontrolled land-use changes, necessitating a comprehensive study to map hazard-prone areas and formulate mitigation strategies. This study aims to: (1) model landslide-prone areas in South Padang District using the Frequency Ratio (FR) method and (2) determine priority mitigation efforts using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. A descriptive quantitative approach was applied, with the FR method used to analyze hazard levels and AHP employed to establish mitigation strategy priorities. The analysis results indicate three hazard categories: low (26%, 208,524 pixels), medium (34%, 266,624 pixels), and high (40%, 379,864 pixels) of the total area. AHP analysis using Expert Choice placed landslide hazard mapping as the top priority with a weight of 0.376. These findings emphasize that spatial approaches and land-use control should form the basis for effective, targeted, and sustainable landslide mitigation policies.

Abstract

Tidal flooding often occurs in coastal areas and this is sometimes very difficult to predict because it can occur suddenly this happens because sea water is higher than the land surface. This research aims at 1) vulnerability to tidal flooding due to sea level rise,, 2) disaster mitigation of community preparedness. This type of research is quantitative. Data were analyzed using the overlay method and mitigation using the PLS (Partial Least Square) approach, and by taking random sampling of the population. This research results in 1) tides have a formzahl value of 0.31 with a mixed type leaning to double daily occurring twice the tide and twice the ebb with almost the same height, in tidal affected areas have 2 classes, namely vulnerable and not vulnerable areas that are quite vulnerable have an area of 1009 Ha. The distribution of areas classified as quite vulnerable is in areas close to the coast. Areas that are not vulnerable have an area of 11,173 with areas that are not close to the coast. 2) on policies, emergency response plans, disaster warning systems, resource mobility is able to explain the preparedness variable by 60.9%. Based on the results of these calculations it can be concluded that this research model is included in the moderate or moderate category. Because if > 0.50 indicates a moderate model.

Abstract

Learning Pancasila Education in elementary schools still tends to focus on memorization and does not fully support deep learning that is meaningful for students. This study aims to analyze the need for developing Pancasila educational comics as a deep learning-based learning media in elementary schools. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation involving teachers and students. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results revealed that teachers face limitations in using learning media that can present Pancasila material in a contextual, visual, and student-centered manner. In addition, students show a strong preference for story-based visual learning media that help them understand abstract Pancasila concepts more concretely. The available learning media are considered not yet optimal in supporting students’ cognitive engagement and conceptual understanding in depth. Therefore, the development of Pancasila educational comics is needed as an alternative learning medium that has the potential to support deep learning and enhance students’ cognitive understanding in elementary schools.

Abstract

The increasing population in Langsa City has caused changes in land use to increase, which is due to the urge to meet the need for housing and other supporting facilities. This makes research on built-up land in Langsa City very important to do, where this study aims to analyse and predict changes in built-up land in Langsa City in 2011, 2017, 2023, and 2035, to provide an overview of changes in built-up land that occur from year to year. In addition, this study also analyses the direction of built-up land policy in Langsa City. The method used in this study is a spatial-based quantitative method with the Cellular Automata Markov approach to create built-up land modelling in Langsa City, and the Analytical Hierarchy Process method to identify variables that influence changes in built-up land in Langsa City. This study produces a map of built-up land changes from 2011 to 2023, showing an increase in built-up land area of 2.417 Ha, which is caused by population growth and regional development factors. In addition, this study also produced a prediction map of built-up land in 2035, which was produced through image interpretation with a kappa index accuracy value of 0,88, which is included in the very good accuracy category. In addition, this study also produced a policy direction for built-up land in Langsa City, which shows the main criteria that are a priority, namely physical conditions with sub-criteria, namely the existence of land that must be far from disaster-prone areas.
