Abstract

Women have an essential contribution to economic growth and development. However, according to data, the Gender Inequality Index (GII) is still relatively high in developing countries, so special attention should be paid to aspects of women’s empowerment, health, and participation in the labor market as an indicator in measuring GII. In women’s empowerment, women’s education and women’s literacy are thought to affect women’s labor force participation. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of women’s literacy rates on female labor force participation in ASEAN countries from 2010- 2017. The method used to analyze the effect on the model is the static panel data method. The results show that countries with high female literacy rates also have high female labor participation rates. The results help economists and policymakers evaluate measures to optimize women’s labor market decisions and empower women by improving women’s literacy rates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis efisiensi perbankan pada Bank Syariah di Indonesia dari Maret 2020 hingga Maret 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dari 11 Bank Syariah yang dihasilkan oleh Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK). Penelitian ini menggunakan Data Envelopment Analysis sebagai pendekatan non-parametrik untuk mengukur efisiensi perbankan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan intermediasi untuk menentukan variabel input dan output. Variabel input dalam penelitian ini adalah dana pihak ketiga, biaya tenaga kerja, dan biaya operasional lainnya. Variabel output dalam penelitian ini adalah pembiayaan dan pendapatan operasional lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata efisiensi teknis bank syariah di Indonesia antara bank umum syariah dan unit usaha syariah dapat lebih efisien, dengan skor rata-rata 8,51 dan 8,54. Untuk hasil efisiensi pada masing-masing bank, baik bank umum syariah maupun unit usaha syariah, rata-rata skor efisiensi teknis bank umum syariah adalah 8,51 dan 8,54. Untuk hasil efisiensi pada masing-masing bank, baik Bank Umum Syariah maupun Unit Usaha Syariah, terdapat empat periode dimana semua bank mengalami efisiensi. Selain itu, hanya satu bank yang mengalami efisiensi pada setiap periode untuk Bank Umum Syariah. Sebaliknya, untuk Unit Usaha Syariah terdapat tiga bank yang mengalami efisiensi.

Abstract

Digital marketing is marketing activity using the internet, either utilizing the website or social media. In 2023, TikTok users are 1.7 billion in the world. This community service activity aims to provide knowledge to members of the Klaten Regency Nasyiatul Aisyiyah Entrepreneurs Association (APUNA) regarding the use of TikTok as a digital marketing tool by using a new feature called TikTok Shop. The community service activities employed training method and were followed by discussion and practice sessions. This activity ran smoothly, and the participants who attended understood and practiced the function of TikTok as social media for conducting digital marketing.

Abstract

Economic growth is one of the indicators to assess the state of a country's economy and is a benchmark for assessing the success of development. However, several resource problems differ in each region, namely the Human Development Index, poverty, responsiveness, income inequality, and government spending as factors that trigger the regional economy. This study analyzes the relationship between the human development index, poverty, reactions, income inequality, and government spending with economic growth. The research aims to identify the effect of these factors on economic growth in Riau Province in 2018-2021. This current research employs panel data regression analysis. The model selected in the regression panel data is the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results of the t-test stated that government spending had a positive effect on GRDP, while sluggishness and responsiveness had a negative effect on GRDP. Meanwhile, HDI and income inequality did not affect Regency/City GRDP in Riau Province in 2018-2021.

Abstract

The rapid advancements in technology have a beneficial effect. The impact extends beyond the communications sector and also affects the economic sector. An example of a technological advancement is the construction of a website. Websites provide organizations with timely information and facilitate the transition to digital marketing, resulting in cost savings for businesses. Nevertheless, not every corporation or corporate entity has the ability or capacity to effectively utilize this technology. Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (NA) Klaten Regency is currently in need of a website to serve as an information platform and for digital marketing purposes. The objective of this community service initiative is to provide assistance in the creation and compilation of website content for Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (NA) in Klaten Regency. The approach for executing this service activity involves providing training and coaching. The service activities were executed seamlessly and resulted in the creation of a website that serves as an informational platform for Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (NA) Klaten Regency and as a digital marketing tool for the business products of members of the Asosiasi Pengusaha Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (APUNA) Klaten Regency.

Abstract

The planting schedules and harvest quality have changed due to climate change. Consequently, the harvest yields occasionally fail to meet the market's demands and threaten food security. This situation will lead to an increase in food prices and also impact other health issues, such as stunting. Therefore, the aim for food security remains an important project to enhance national development. The community service team from the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, in partnership with the Mundu Village Government in Klaten Regency, organized a series of service activities to enhance food security through the "Rumah Tahan Pangan" competition program for the Mundu Village community. The community service agenda included several strategies: socialization, training, and mentorship. The results of these activities indicate that the residents of Mundu Village are willing to support the food security programme. This is illustrated by a 40.6 percent increase in knowledge about food security at the household level, a 5.4 percent increase in knowledge about using yard land, and a 32.4 percent increase in understanding of balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Since the global financial crisis of 2008, there has been a rise in economic uncertainty and money demand research. The money demand is vital in monetary policy, which has implications for the regional economy. This study aims to analyse the money demand in Indonesia in the middle of global economic uncertainty, as well as the contribution of the study, which includes the economic and monetary policy uncertainty in a separate model for an enhanced money demand function. The study used a structural vector autoregressive (SVAR) approach. The results indicate that monetary demand is negatively affected by economic uncertainty. With the development of the financial sector, the impact of economic uncertainty and the unpredictability of US monetary policy drives people to be more cautious, resulting in a movement of "wealth" to other instruments. The current study implies that the monetary policy in the form of interest rates as the response to the global condition should consider monetary aggregates in terms of money demand as a precautionary measure to maintain money demand. The study revealed that stable money demand suggests inflation targeting as a monetary policy that can enhance monetary policy in the face of rising economic uncertainty.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of economic growth, foreign direct investment (FDI), oil consumption, and hydroelectricity generation on emission in Indonesia from 1986-2022. The data are generated from World Bank and British Petroleum. This study employs Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) to estimate the secondary data. Carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) is treated as dependent variable, while economic growth, FDI inflows, oil consumption, and hydroelectricity generation are treated as independent variables. The results revealed that economic growth positively affect CO2 in the short run. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) affect CO2 negatively but not significant on CO2. The result implies that the Pollution Halo is exist. Oil consumption affect CO2 positively significant both in short and long run. Furthermore, hydroelectricity generation as renewable energy affects CO2 negatively in the short run and positively in the long run but not significant. The result suggests to the stakeholders to enhance the innovation of the renewable energy to decline the CO2 emssions. Further, this study surely provides a new model in estimating the determinant of CO2 emissions as a proxy of environmental degradation especially in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) is one of the stock market indices used by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This index covers the price movements of all common and preferred stocks listed on the IDX. IHSG is of significant interest to all investors, as its movements influence whether investors will buy, hold, or sell their stocks. This study aims to estimate the impact of inflation, exchange rates, interest rates, and economic growth on IHSG for the period 2000-2020 using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression analysis. The OLS method is a statistical technique used to identify the relationship between independent and dependent variables in a linear regression model. The results of the study indicate that exchange rates and economic growth have a positive impact on IHSG, while inflation negatively affects IHSG. Meanwhile, interest rates do not have an impact on IHSG. The government and Bank Indonesia, as the monetary authority in Indonesia, are expected to control inflation in order to stimulate the economy, encourage investor confidence, and foster the development of the capital market in Indonesia.
