Abstract

The practice of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), also known as female circumcision, is still maintained, especially in Aceh, despite being banned by the WHO and the government. This practice is not taught in the school, including the midwifery school, as midwives are among the healthcare providers who generally offer this service. The dynamics of policy changes and deeply rooted differences in religious and cultural views create confusion for midwives in the field, particularly given the still high demand and community encouragement. The purpose of this research was to analyse the factors influencing the implementation of female circumcision by midwives. This was a cross-sectional study with the population of midwives who were working in the Aceh Province region in 2024. The sample of this study consisted of midwives who provide female circumcision services in Aceh, with a sample size of 86 people. Statistical analysis used the Chi-Square test with the SPSS v.25 . The majority of midwives performed circumcision about 1-2 times a month, and midwives perceived circumcision as a social necessity. Midwives aged ≥ 43 years, with work experience ≥ 13 years, working for ≥ 20 years, possessing good knowledge, and having a positive attitude tended to perform risky circumcisions. The results of the statistical test indicated that there was no significant relationship between age, years of service, duration of providing female circumcision services, knowledge, attitude, and social needs regarding the implementation of female circumcision. The research results indicated that midwives in Aceh continue to practice female circumcision, with the majority performing it in a risky manner. Although midwives have positive knowledge and attitudes, social necessity factors are the main drivers in its implementation

Abstract

This activity aims to educate medical vocabulary skills in English for junior high school students to educate them in health education. The skills needed by students will be used as the basis for the preparation of teaching materials in English subjects intended and recommended for SMP Baiturrahim students. This community service took place at SMP Baiturrahim. This educational method uses the approach of providing materials and leaflets to students and teachers at SMP Baiturrahim in Jambi. SMP Baiturrahim which is located at Jalan H. Syamsoe Bachroen No. 32 RT. 04, Selamat, Kec. Danau Sipin, Jambi City, Jambi Province with 24 teachers, 53 male students, and 32 female students. Based on the education results, the Vocabulary Self-Collection Strategy (VSS) was successfully applied in English subjects with a good category at the beginning of educational activities and a very good category during the implementation of education at SMP Baiturrahim. In educational activities, the learning steps that have not reached the success criteria are strategy and environment. While the steps that have reached the success criteria are learning resources and students. In the next stage, there was an improvement in the learning process so that all learning steps had improved and reached the success criteria.

Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan sangat penting untuk diperhatikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis implementasi manajemen strategik berbasis sekolah dalam meningkatkan kualitas lembaga pendidikan islam. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan dokumentasi, dengan teknik analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi manajemen berbasis sekolah strategik merupakan sebuah pendekatan yang sangat baik dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, manajemen berbasis sekolah strategik mengandung dua unsur pokok yakni manajemen berbasis sekolah strategik terdiri dari tiga macam proses manajemen berbasis sekolah yaitu pembuatan strategi, penerapan strategi, dan evaluasi atau kontrol terhadap strategi. dan manajemen berbasis sekolah strategik memfokuskan pada penyatuan atau penggabungan aspek-aspek pemasaran, riset dan pengembangan, keuangan dan operasional suatu unit sekolah. Hal ini jika dipahami dan dilaksanakan dengan baik akan berpengaruh positif pada perbaikan kualitas pendidikan
