Abstract

Salah satu jenis hama yang biasa menyerang tanaman kelapa adalah O.rhinoceros. Desa yang mengalami serangan hama ini adalah Desa Jerukwangi,Bondo, dan Tubanan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui kondisi areal pertanaman kelapa, intensitas kerusakan kelapa akibat serangan O. rhinoceros dan hasil monitoring O. rhinoceros. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksplorasi dengan metode survei dan wawancara petani pemilik tanaman kelapa. Jumlah petani sampel sebanyak 10 orang tiap desa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi lahan pertanaman kelapa masih belum terpelihara dengan baik. Persentse intensitas kerusakan kelapa akibat serangan O. rhinoceros di Desa Bondo (71%), Desa Jerukwangi (64%), dan Desa Tubanan (28%). Hasil monitoring O. rhinoceros yang tertangkap di Desa Jerukwangi menunjukkan masih terdapat potensi serangan dari hama ini, sehingga perlu waspada.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan mikroorganisme lokal (MOL) sebagai aktivator dalam proses pengomposan sampah daun, serta membandingkan penampilan fisik, penyusutan bahan, kadar air dan C/N rasio kompos yang dihasilkan dengan kompos yang menggunakan EM sebagai bioaktivator. Bahan baku kompos terdiri dari daun kering cacah dan kotoran kambing. Kompos dipanen setelah proses pengomposan berlangsung selama 6 minggu. Setiap perlakuan dibuat tiga ulangan. Data kualitatif yang diamati meliputi tekstur, warna dan bau, sedangkan data kuantitatif yang diukur meliputi persentase penyusutan bahan, persentase kompos yang terbentuk, kadar air, dan C/N rasio. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan secara deskriptif, sedangkan data kuantitatif menggunakan uji t. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa kompos kedua perlakuan memiliki penampilan fisik tidak berbeda. Berdasarkan uji t, ratarata penyusutan bahan, kadar air dan C/N rasio kompos matang tidak berbeda nyata, akan tetapi persentase kompos yang terbentuk menunjukkan perbedaan nyata. Dari penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa kompos daun kedua perlakuan memperlihatkan penampilan fisik, penyusutan, kadar air dan C/N rasio yang tidak berbeda, sedangkan persentase kompos yang terbentuk pada kompos + EM lebih tinggi dibanding kompos + MOL. Secara umum kedua kompos masuk kategori layak digunakan berdasarkan standar SNI No. 19-7030-2004. 4 4

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil perkembangbiakan nematoda entomopatogen pada berbagai media buatan. Desain penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap, tujuh perlakuan dan lima ulangan. Tujuh perlakuan media yaitu media A(tepung kedelai), B (hati ayam), C (dog food), D (campuran hati ayam dan tepung kedelai 1:1), E (campuran tepung kedelai dan dog food 1:1), F (hati ayam dan dog food 1:1) dan G (campuran tepung kedelai, hati ayam dan dog food 1:0,5:0,5). Sebanyak 1,2 x 10 JI/ml di biakkan pada setiap media rearing selama empat minggu. Populasi NEP diamati setiap minggu. Hasil menunjukkan media terbaik untuk perbanyakan NEP adalah media E (campuran tepung kedelai dan dog food) dengan populasi tertinggi 3,5 x 10 3 JI/ml. media E mengandung karbohidrat 1,27%, protein 1,52% dan lipid 1,09%.

Abstract

Hasil observasi di SMA Insitut Indonesia Semarang menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar yang digunakan siswa, khususnya materi Archaebacteria dan Eubacteria kurang dilengkapi gambar, terbatas dengan pembahasan secara tekstual, dan contoh-contoh yang digunakan masih universal. Salah satu tempat yang berpotensi menyediakan materi tersebutadalah Balai Karantina Ikan, Pengendalian Mutu, dan Keamanan Hasil Pangan (BKIPM) Semarang. Pemanfaatan riset di BKIPM merupakan upaya untuk menambah pengetahuan siswa melalui pengembangan suplemen bahan ajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil identifikasi jenis-jenis bakteri yang terdapat pada ikan air tawar, menguji validitas suplemen bahan ajar berdasarkan penilaian validator, menganalisis respon siswa dan guru, dan menguji efektivitas suplemen bahan ajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan R&D dan menggunakan model ADDIE. Jenis-jenis bakteri yang ditemukan adalah bakteri Aeromonas salmonicida, Edwarsiella ictaluri, Streptococcus agalactiae, Vibrio algynoliticus, Edwardsiella tarda, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas angulliseptica, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, dan Yersinia ruckeri. Suplemen bahan ajar dinyatakan sangat valid oleh 2 validator, dengan skor rerata yaitu 95,86%. Siswa dan guru memberikan respon sangat baik pada suplemen bahan ajar, dengan skor respon siswa sebesar 96% (sangat baik) dan skor respon guru sebesar 88,33% (sangat baik). Suplemen bahan ajar yang dikembangkan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil pretest-posttest siswa dengan pengujian n-gain sebesar 0,71 (kriteria tinggi). Observation result in SMA Insitut Indonesia shows that Biology textbook especially Archaebacteria and Eubacteria materials, that used by students are ill-equiped images, limited to textual discussion, and used comprehensive examples.One of potential place that provide this material is Balai Karantina Ikan, Pengendalian Mutu, dan Keamanan Hasil Pangan (BKIPM)Semarang. Utilization of this research in BKIPM is an effort to increase students? knowledge through the development of teaching materials supplement. The aims of this research is to analyzing the result of bacterial in freshwater fish identification, testing the validity of teaching materials supplement based on experts assesment, analyzing the students and teacher response, and testing the effectiveness of teaching materials supplement in terms of the cognitive learning. This research used R&D approach and designed by ADDIE models.The type of bacteria that found during these research is Aeromonas salmonicida, Edwarsiella ictaluri, Streptococcus agalactiae, Vibrio algynoliticus, Edwardsiella tarda, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas angulliseptica, Bacillus cereus, Escherichia coli, and Yersinia ruckeri. The development of teaching materials supplement is otherwise very valid based experts assesment, with averages score is 95.86%. Students and the teacher gives very good response to the teaching materials supplement, with 96% (very good) in score by the students and 88.33% (very good)  in score by the teacher. Teaching materials supplement that developed is effective to increase pretest-posttest in Archaebacteria and Eubacteria materials. It is derived from n-gain score, 0.71 (high).

Abstract

The rapid development of science and knowledge in the 21st century raises competition from each country to create various innovations in various fields. To meet these challenges are those who have the ability to think critically, logically, systematically, and creatively in order to be able to survive and compete globally. This study aims to analyze the development of SSCS-based worksheets on biodiversity materials including syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, and evaluation tools on students' critical thinking skills (CBC). The learning model used in this study is Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS). The study was conducted at MAN 1 Brebes class X. Samples were taken using a purposive sampling method consisting of 3 classes with a total of 105 students. This study uses R&D research methods with one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the analysis results obtained an average critical thinking ability of students of 86% complete and 14% of incomplete by obtaining an average N-Gain score of 0.6 in the medium category. Furthermore, the average score of pretest-posttest and N-Gain per KBK indicator has quite a small comparison. These results indicate that the development of SSCS-based worksheets is effective against students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The implementation of learning using booklet media of conventional biotechnology application on biotechnology materials is expected to be able to help the students achieve of all basic competencies of learning and can improve student learning outcomes which are still low. The booklet was developed based on the results of the study, and then validated by experts to test the feasibility of the booklet. This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the conventional biotechnology application booklet media. This study uses a pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest design. The trial was conducted on the students of class XII MIPA 1 and XII MIPA 2 in NU 1 Kradenan High School in the 2019/2020 school year taken by purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the application of conventional biotechnology booklets was effectively used as a supplement for teaching biotechnology materials in high school. The average of N-gain 0,71 indicates that there was an increase in learning outcomes from pre-test to post-test with high criteria. The average classical completeness reached 92%, the average percentage of student attitudes reached 80% and the average student skills reached 81% with effective criteria. Based on the results of the study, the use of booklets is recommended in learning biotechnology to improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains.

Abstract

Science and technology has been included in all aspects of life not as well as education. Rapid changes of science and technology encourages the development and the use of effective teaching model. Thailand, one of the big countries in Southeast Asia, has developed a new curriculum and education system in 2008. This new curriculum and educational system impact on teaching models used. The purpose of this study was to describe the Biology teaching model applied in Rattaphumwittaya School Thailand. This study was a case study  by qualitative research. Data were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were organized in five elements of the teaching model includes syntax, the social system, the principle of reaction, support systems, and the effect of teaching. It was found that the teaching models used includes direct instruction, group investigation, and inquiry training. The selected models for each level Mattayom depend on the student's character.  Also, the higher grade , the less teacher dominance during learning.

Abstract

The ability to think critically is needed in the 21st century so that students must have the ability to think critically.Withthese abilities, students are more able to master the concept of material, able to provide further explanation and provide alternative problem-solving so that students are expected to be able to solve problems in the environment in the future. This study aims to analyze the problem-based instruction model with effective video applied to senior high school 1 Mayong students on the ability to think critically and analyze the problem-based instruction model with video so that it can improve the critical thinking skills of senior high school 1 Mayong students. This study used pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study were students of class XI MIPA 3 and XI MIPA 4 Senior High School 1 Mayong which were determined using purposive sampling technique. The independent variable is a problem-based instruction model with an immune system video media. Dependent variables besides critical thinking skills are also conservation attitudes that are expected to arise during the learning process. The researcher collected the data using test questions and observation sheets. The results of data analysis showed that students' critical thinking skills reached 92.5% completeness. On average, every aspect of students' critical thinking skills are in critical and very critical criteria and the average conservation value of students is honest, creative and humanist in good, good and very good criteria. The average N-gain in both classes is included in the criteria of medium (0.69) and high (0.71). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the problem-based instruction model with effective video is applied to senior high school 1 Mayong students towards critical thinking skills and problem-based instruction models with videos can improve the critical thinking skills of senior high school 1 Mayong students

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the school environment-based inquiry model in the ecosystem material towards critical thinking ability and environmental caring attitude of high school students. This study uses Pre-Experiment Design with research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this study was grade X IPA 5 and X IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Slawi. The results of this study indicate that the result of the N-gain test of critical thinking ability and the attitude of caring for the environment is in the medium category. The result of classical learning completeness reach 100% of students complete. Students' critical thinking ability shows 100% of students meet critical and very critical criteria. The environmental caring attitude of the students shows that 100% of students fulfill the criteria of care and absolutely care. Students? responses to learning show good criteria in each statement. Conclusion in this study is that the school environment-based inquiry model in the ecosystem material is effective towards critical thinking ability and environmental caring attitude of grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Slawi.
