Abstract

Degradasi lingkungan yang semakin mengkhawatirkan akibat aktivitas manusia mendorong pentingnya pendidikan dalam menanamkan kepedulian lingkungan sejak dini. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan. Salah satu upaya strategis adalah Program Adiwiyata yang diluncurkan pemerintah Indonesia untuk menciptakan sekolah yang peduli dan berbudaya lingkungan. Program ini mencakup kebijakan sekolah, kurikulum berbasis lingkungan, kegiatan partisipatif, serta pengelolaan sarana prasarana yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Program Adiwiyata dan menganalisis dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar serta sikap kepedulian lingkungan siswa di SMA Negeri Kabupaten Brebes. Penelitian menggunakan mixed methods dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, tes dan angket. Data kualitatif dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman, sedangkan data kuantitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif. Jumlah responden dalam pengisian angket dan tes sebanyak 210 siswa dari tiga sekolah, yaitu SMA Negeri 1 Larangan, SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung, dan SMA Negeri 1 Kersana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Program Adiwiyata telah berjalan dengan baik di ketiga sekolah. Program ini berhasil mendorong siswa untuk aktif menjaga lingkungan melalui berbagai kegiatan seperti bank sampah, taman kelas, dan kurikulum tematik. Hasil angket menunjukkan tingkat kepedulian lingkungan siswa tergolong tinggi dari ketiga sekolah yaitu 81,37% dan hasil tes kognitif menunjukkan 80% siswa tuntas. Program Adiwiyata terbukti memberi kontribusi positif terhadap pembentukan sikap peduli lingkungan dan menciptakan budaya sekolah yang mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Women Farmers Group in Sampangan, Semarang, Indonesia has managed an urban farming area since 2018, cultivating vegetables, fruits, and medicinal plants. However, they face persistent challenges in controlling plant pests and diseases due to limited knowledge. This community service aimed to enhance their understanding through structured training on sustainable pest and disease control in horticultural crops. The activity involved preparation, implementation, and evaluation phases, with participatory methods including pre-test and post-test evaluations, tutorials, and discussions. The training introduced eco-friendly techniques such as cultural, biological, and mechanical control. The participants showed high enthusiasm during the sessions. Results indicated a 25% increase in knowledge, demonstrating the effectiveness of the training. This program supports SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by promoting sustainable agriculture and empowering women in urban farming practices.

Abstract

Citrus are a horticultural commodity that has high economic value and tends to be liked by many people. In the Bawen area, Semarang Regency, there is a plantation that cultivates various types of orange plants. Many citrus plants have signs of pest attacks that have not yet been identified. This research aims to obtain data related to insect diversity and the level of damage caused by insect pest attacks on citrus plants. This research is an exploratory type of research, using a survey method. The research location was determined using purposive sampling by taking three fields of Siam Honey, Sumowono and Pamello oranges. Insect sampling was carried out using pitfall trap, yellow trap, direct observation and interviews. The results of the study showed that the diversity index was H' = 3.3, honey siam = 3.3, pamello orange (H' = 3.1) and sumowono siam (H' = 2.9). The similarity value of the three types of orange is 0.8 and the dominance is 0.05 (honey siamese), 0.06 (pamello) and 0.07 (sumowono). At the time of research, orange plants were in the generative phase so they could attract more insects. The level of damage due to pest attacks is classified as moderate. The conclusion of this research is that the highest species diversity value is Siam Honey, then Pamello orange and Siam Sumowono, the presence of insects is evenly distributed and no one species dominates. The benefit of this research is to obtain information regarding the diversity of insect types and the level of damage caused by insect pest attacks.

Abstract

Alphitobius diaperinus is a well-known insect pest in broiler farms. Larvae and adults of A. diaperinus act as disease vectors for poultry, and their presence has the potential to increase the risk of carcass contamination in slaughterhouses. Chemical insecticide control is still considered ineffective and environmentally unfriendly. Plant-based insecticide formulations offer a more environmentally friendly approach to pest control compared to chemical insecticides. The ethanol extract of Gamal leaves was tested on the darkling beetle A. diaperinus to determine its insecticidal activity. Five pairs of A. diaperinus were treated at five levels of extract concentration and then maintained in an insect container with wheat bran (pollard) food for 5 weeks. The insecticidal efficacy was measured based on the difference in mortality in the toxicity test and the reproductive ability of adult A. diaperinus by counting the number of larvae produced during the rearing period. The results showed that differences in extract concentrations significantly affected toxicity and the number of larvae produced. The more concentrated the extract, the higher the insect mortality, with the estimated LC50 value of the extract being 20.80% concentration within 72 hours. Reproductive ability showed that the higher the concentration of the extract, causing a decrease in the number of larvae produced, with the optimum concentration found in the 80% treatment. Thus, Gamal leaf extract has potential as a botanical insecticide for biological control of A. diaperinus pest.

Abstract

Alphitobius diaperinus termasuk serangga hama gudang yang cepat berkembangbiak dilingkungan kandang ayam. Perilakunya merusak pakan dan merusak instalasi bangunan kandang yang berbahan kayu/bambu. Pengendalian serangga ini masih menggunakan insektisida sintetis yang diketahui menimbulkan dampak negatif pada kesehatan manusia dan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu bioinsektisida asal tanaman masih menarik untuk diungkap, salah satunya adalah tanaman Zodia (Evodia suaveolens). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis fitokimia ekstrak daun Zodia dan menguji pengaruhnya terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan kemampuan makan larva A. diaperinus. Penelitian didesain eksperimen dengan menguji 6 level konsentrasi ekstrak (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang lima kali dan setiap ulangan digunakan 50 ekor larva. Kelangsungan hidup diukur berdasarkan persentase larva yang bertahan hidup sampai masa pupasi, sedangkan kemampuan makan diukur berdasarkan total konsumsi pakan selama fase larva. Data kelangsungan hidup dan kemampuan makan dianalisis statistik ANOVA satu arah dan dilanjutkan dengan uji beda Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan level konsentrasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan kemampuan makan larva A. diaperinus (sig <0,05). Hasil uji beda menunjukkan semua level konsentrasi ekstrak berbeda nyata dibanding kontrol. Semakin pekat ekstrak yang dipaparkan, makin rendah kelangsungan hidup dan kemampuan makan larva. Konsentrasi ekstrak yang optimum menurunkan kelangsungan hidup dan kemampuan makan ditemukan pada konsentrasi ekstrak 50%. Merujuk hasil penelitian ini, ekstrak daun Zodia potensial dikembangkan sebagai bioinsektisida khususnya dalam pengendalian hama kumbang A. diaperinus.

Abstract

Soil insects are insects that carry out all their activities in or on the soil surface. Soil insects play a vital role as decomposers, predators, herbivores, and soil structure improvers. This study aims to investigate the diversity of soil insects along the hiking trails of Mount Prau with varying levels of hiking intensity, namely the Patak Banteng trail with high intensity, Dwarawati with moderate intensity, and Purwosari with low intensity. The method used was the pitfall trap, with a total of 120 traps installed along the three trails. Insect identification was conducted in the laboratory using a stereo microscope, and environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, soil pH, light intensity, organic carbon (C) content, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and soil texture were measured as supporting data. The results showed 20 soil insect species from 6 orders and 11 families, with a total of 445 individuals. The order Coleoptera was dominant in all plots, particularly the species Xantholinus sp. (Staphylinidae). The highest Shannon-Wiener diversity index was found in the Dwarawati plot (H’=1.90), followed by Purwosari (H’=1.82), and the lowest in Patak Banteng (H’=1.59). High evenness (E) values (>0.6) and low dominance (D) values.
