Abstract

Indonesia is one of the Muslim countries in the world that is able to gradually implement democracy in its political system. In the 25 years after the reform, Indonesia has tried various schemes to be able to carry out democratization so that it can be accepted by the Indonesian people themselves and even aims to get a positive international image. In the dynamics that occur, the development of political democracy in Indonesia gives rise to a social and political dynamics known as primordial politics and identity politics. These two approaches become true when we look at the conditions and dynamics of politics and democracy that occur in Indonesia. Moreover, the position of the regions has a significant role in contributing to the development of democracy and politics at the center. The region is an interesting area to discuss considering that the region is part of the political administration which has a strong influence on the center. This happened during the Indonesian reformation that occurred in 1998. Where the centralized concept became decentralized with the emergence of regional autonomy. In other words, the region has full power and authority to determine its political and economic direction. Of course, under other conditions it would be better. But on the other hand there are sociological consequences that must be accepted after the reform. The development of democracy in Indonesia actually produces primordial politics and identity politics, which are difficult to avoid. So it could be that Indonesia itself is aware that these two approaches are indeed taking place and cannot be avoided. Therefore, it is necessary for us to understand that primordial politics and identity politics today are a social reality and fact that occur in the dynamics of politics and democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Democracy is a political system and ideologue that has been widely applied in various countries in the post-cold war world. Democracy tries to become an international political regime that is so gallant and ideal in terms of the system and the dimensions of its use. Democracy does not only discuss matters of state and government, but also issues of basic human values in the form of human rights, humanity, egalitarianism, gender, femininity and even capitalist economic issues which are also closely related to democracy. But another fact occurred, the ideal dimension of democracy shifted to pragmatism and transactional politics with the emergence of the reality of the rampant practice of money politics in Indonesia. The emergence of these things is certainly not in a vacuum and without effort. The issue of money politics has become a big and terrible scourge amid the consolidation and development of democracy in Indonesia today. Political pragmatism occurs not only at the central level in the form of presidential elections but has reached the grass roots, namely elections to villages. So that this is suspected by many parties as part of the emergence of a culture of corruption in Indonesia. In other words, the rampant cases of corruption that occur in Indonesia are more likely to occur because of the extraordinarily large cost politics in the implementation of democracy. Both in terms of subject and political object in Indonesia. So this will become a political pathology that must be addressed immediately. The political pragmatism that occurs in Indonesia has an extraordinary transactional political economy dimension. So this should be a red note for democracy in Indonesia. So the ideals of reform that have been echoed since 1998 can be realized gradually. However, if the problem of money politics is still rife, then the ideals of reform in the form of realizing Indonesia as a democratic country will experience extraordinary distortions.

Abstract

Criminal law is often used to solve social problems, especially in crime prevention. In particular, the problem of gambling as a form of social disease, a form of social pathology. Enforcement of criminal law to tackle gambling as deviant behavior must continue to be carried out. This is very reasonable because gambling is a threat a real threat to social norms that can lead to individual tensions as well as social tensions. Gambling is a real or potential threat to the nation. Thus gambling can become an obstacle to national development with material-spiritual aspects. Because gambling educates people to make a living in an unreasonable manner and forming a "lazy" character. While development requires individuals who are active, hard working and mentally strong. It is very reasonable then gambling must immediately find ways and rational solutions for a solution. Because it is clear that gambling is a social problem that can interfere with the social functions of society. One of the rational efforts used to tackle gambling is the criminal law policy approach. The use of legal remedies, including criminal law, as an effort to overcome social problems, including in the field of law enforcement policies. Besides that, because the goal is to achieve public welfare in general, law enforcement policies are also included in the field of social policy, namely all rational efforts to achieve public welfare.

Abstract

Democracy is a political system that is widely used by many countries in the world, including Indonesia. Elections are something that is closely related to democracy. So it has a series of presidential elections, regional head elections and legislative elections. In its development, regional elections have become a magnet that attracts many parties to conduct research. On the basis that there will be good development in a democratic manner with regional elections as an integral part of the regional autonomy system. Thus, there is great hope that the results of the regional elections will create equitable development with the assumption that regional money management will be maximized. It's just that that's not what happened, so we tried to carry out a simple study about development based on representation of support, not because of the needs of the area. This then happened in Lamongan, where there was a development gap, the Pantura area saw more massive development than the development in the South Lamongan area.

Abstract

Democracy is a political concept that is widely used by many countries in the world today. Ideas about people's welfare are the main focus in the concept of political order in democracy. So the term democracy has become familiar to hear today. On the other hand, transactional politics is something that is often found in democracy implemented in Indonesia. This also sparked an act of political pragmatism in Indonesian society. So democracy experiences a shift in its agenda which has an impact on the quality of democracy itself. The research method used in this paper is qualitative research using a social science approach that has developed with today's modern political sciences. We also use research libraries to make it easier for us to manage data that we find and that we consider relevant. These transactional political actions are related to the attitude of the main political interest in the form of power, while the culture of political pragmatism in Indonesian society is more visible due to the relatively low level of education in Indonesian society.

Abstract

Etymologically, the terms emigration, immigration and transmigration all come from the Latin discussion of migration, which means population movement. The movement of people from one place to another, near or far. So, the definition of migrant is the large-scale movement of people from one place to another. Rohingya is a Muslim ethnic group that has lived in Myanmar for centuries. They are a minority, because the majority of Myanmar's population adheres to Buddhism. The government's policy is already underway by providing food and clothing assistance and refugee camps for the Rohingya ethnic group, but many rejections of Rohingya refugees are due to a lack of appreciation for what has been given to them. It would be better for these Rohingya refugees to be returned to Bangladesh on an island specifically for their people where British organizations have raised funds for them.

Abstract

Pancasila is one of the basic ideologies of the Indonesian state which has long had social values and norms that have become the nation's identity. So that Pancasila has an important position in maintaining the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia (the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia). Implementation and internalization of the values contained in Pancasila are not enough to just be taught normatively in the classroom such as learning and teaching activities. There needs to be a new touch so that students learn Pancasil with enthusiasm. A visit to Pancasila Balun Village, Lamongan Regency, East Java, is an alternative for this new touch. With this visit, students were able to empirically see and assess how and what kind of values in Pancasila are applied in society, especially the Lamongan community itself. A visit to Balun Village is not without reason, but because of the harmony and tolerance that exist in the village, making it interesting to visit. This research uses qualitative research methods by collecting primary data through interviews and observations at the location of the visit, namely Pancasila Balun Village. In this village there are three religions adhered to by the people in the village, namely Islam, Protestant Christianity and Hinduism. Harmony in the village has been maintained for a long time and there has almost never been any conflict involving religious adherents. For us, it is this value that is worthy of being used as an example by students to find out what it is like and how to implement and internalize Pancasila values in an applied manner, not just theoretically as has been taught in the classroom.

Abstract

Elections are one of the most important parts in the implementation of modern democracy, and Indonesia is no exception. So the election becomes a contestation of the ideas of each candidate pair to gain the sympathy of the people as voters. In this way, elections can become very sacred for the continuation and development of politics and democracy in a country in the future. The victory of candidate pair 02 Prabowo-Gibran certainly did not win in a vacuum. In fact, Joko Widodo's role is vital and has a strong influence as a determinant of the victory of candidate pair 02. In this way, the Indonesian people still seem to really like and may even still be satisfied with Jokowi's performance in the last five years of his leadership. The results of survey institutions show that the level of public satisfaction with Jokowi's performance while leading the government is quite high. So it could be that this number also represents the voters' rationality in choosing Prabowo-Gibran because Jokowi is also a supporter of the candidate pair. So Jokowi, with these data and figures, is still a strong magnet for voters to participate in making their choice. The methodology we use in this research is descriptive qualitative, using a library research approach to obtain the data and data sources we need. The findings that we got are that it is true that Jokowi was one of the determining factors in the victory of candidate pair 02 Prabowo-Gibran, besides the fact that Jokowi is Gibra's biological father.

Abstract

The purpose of the Constitutional Court is to protect the Constitution so that it is in accordance with the principles of legal constitutionality. the public was shocked by the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) which was considered controversial. This article uses a descriptive qualitative method using the library research analysis method. The author will conduct research on books, journals, magazines, newspapers both offline and online. In its decision, the Constitutional Court decided that regional heads under the age of 40 can nominate themselves as candidates for president or vice president, if they have previously served or are currently carrying out duties as regional heads. The impact of the Constitutional Court's decision to grant the addition of the narrative to Article 169 letter q of Law Number 7 of 2017 does not only have an impact on agitation and the political map ahead of the 2024 election. However, the impact could be even more dire. Not only among contestants in the 2024 election, heated escalation is also occurring in society. What state institutions can still be trusted, the Constitutional Court has become a tool of power, corruption is rampant in ministries, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) should supervise the implementation of the Corruption Law. in fact, it turned out to have become a "vicious circle."
