Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the antibacterial activity of the root extract of the Suku Anak Dalam bamboo grass (Lophatherum gracile) against cough-causing bacteria (Streptococcus sp). The method used is laboratory-based experimental research with analytical descriptive type to test the root extract of bamboo grassroots on Streptococcus sp. Data analysis was carried out descriptively qualitatively by subtracting the diameter of the inhibition zone formed from the diameter of the disc that had been soaked with Lophatherum gracile extract. The treatments used consisted of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% and positive control using amoxicillin. The results showed that at a concentration of 20%, the average inhibition zone formed was 2.03 mm, 40% concentration was 2.27 mm, 60% concentration was 2.61 mm, 80% concentration was 2.72 mm, 100% by 3.1 mm and positive control by 12 mm. In conclusion, bamboo grass root has a weak antibacterial ability and needs to be combined with other ingredients if you want to use it as cough medicine. Abstract

This study aims to determine the type of moss in the Bukit Gatan Waterfall Region of Ulu Terawas STL Musi Rawas Regency, as well as Abiotic Factors in the Bukit Gatan Waterfall Area in the District of Ulu Terawas STL Musi Rawas District. This research is descriptive Descriptive: direct observation in the location of the Bukit Gatan Waterfall Area, STL Ulu Terawas Musi Rawas Regency with a roaming method or exploring the Waterfall Area. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Types of moss found in 2 Classes namely Bryopsida and Hepaticopsida, consisting of 5 Orders namely Pottiales, Bryales, Fissidentales, Hypnales, and Jungermaniales, consisting of 5 Families namely Pottiaceae, Batramiaceae, Fissidentaceae, Hypnaceae and Plagiochilaceae, consisting of 6 Genus Hyophila, Philotiphll, Philotropll , and Plagiochila, consisting of 7 species namely Hyophila javanica, Philonotis hastata, Fissidens atroviridis, Hyophila apiculata, Ectropothecium sp., Taxiphyllum sp., and Plagiochila asplenoides. The Abioic Factor is pH Temperature which is an average of 6.6, temperatures with an average of 27 ºC, humidity with an average of 6.3% and at an appropriate light intensity of 285lux.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Science Curtain Media Based on Role playing Models in Science Learning at State Elementary School 5 Srikaton which is valid and practical. This type of research is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely: analysis stage, design stage, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. The instrument used in the research on Science Curtain Media Based on Role playing Models in Elementary School Science Learning is a questionnaire for the assessment of linguists, material experts, and media experts. Meanwhile, for the practicality of Science Curtain Media Based on Role playing Models in Elementary School Science Learning using student and teacher respondent questionnaires. Overall, the value of the analysis and calculation of the value of the questionnaire sheet from the expert team of science curtain learning media based on the role playing model belongs to the very valid category with a percentage of 93% meaning that the science curtain learning media based on the role playing model is valid. Based on the percentage of the overall value from the analysis of the practicality test questionnaire sheet, the science curtain learning media based on the role playing model belongs to the very practical category with a percentage of 95.8%, meaning that the science curtain learning media based on the role playing model that has been developed is very practical to use.

Abstract

Every day residents of Lubuklinggau City produce 158.2 tons of household waste. The concept of reuse, reduce, and recycle is still the best way to manage and handle waste with various existing problems. Household waste is divided into 2 parts into organic and inorganic waste. Organic waste is waste that easily decomposes such as food scraps, vegetables, dry leaves, which can still be processed and utilized. Organic waste can be processed into organic fertilizer. The methods used in this service are lectures, discussions, demonstrations and practices of processing household organic waste into organic fertilizer. This activity received a very good response from residents and the Ponorogo Village, Lubuklinggau City, because after participating in the activity, residents received information and were able to process household organic waste to be used as organic fertilizer. In addition, this activity helps the Lubuklinggau City government overcome the problem of household organic waste in Ponorogo Village, Lubuklinggau City and is expected to be a model for other families.

Abstract

Sungai memiliki banyak sekali fungsi, salah satunya yaitu sebagai ekosistem makhluk hidup. Sungai Kasie merupakan salah satu sumber air PDAM Tirta Bukit Sulap Lubuklinggau dan habitat untuk berbagai macam makhluk hidup. Chlorophyta (alga hijau) merupakan kelompok terbesar dari vegetasi alga, yang sebagian besar hidup di air tawar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu dapat menganalisis keanekaragaman mikroalga Chlorophyta di sungai Kasie Kota Lubuklinggau. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian survei. Sampel diambil dari 3 stasiun berdasarkan kriteria ekosistem yang berbeda, dengan tiga pengulangan waktu pengambilan dari bulan April-Mei 2019. hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, jenis mikroalga Chlorophyta yang ditemukan di Sungai Kasie Kota Lubuklinggau, terdiri dari: 4 Kelas, 6 Ordo, 7 Famili, 7 Genus, dan 9 Spesies. Mikroalga Chlorophyta yang ditemukan di Sungai Kasie Kota Lubuklinggau terdiri dari Microspora sp, Scenedesmus opoliensis, Scenedesmus sp, Ulothrix sp, Rhizoclonium sp, Rhizoclonium hieroglyphicum, Microthamnion sp, Stigeoclonium sp dan Bulbochaete sp. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Nilai rata-rata keanekaragaman Chlorophyta di Sungai Kasie Kota Lubuklinggau yaitu 1,22 dalam kategori “keanekaragaman kecil/rendah”.Kata Kunci: Chlorophyta; Mikroalga; Keanekaragaman; Kota Lubuklinggau; Sungai Kasie.

Abstract

Many students have not yet completed the science learning process, so there is no need for students to take part in the improvement program to meet the Minimum completion criteria. The purpose of this study was to analyze the science learning outcomes of VIII-grade students of Air Setan Middle School through the Problem Based Learning model. The design of this study used a design that was created pretest-posttest Group Design. Samples are taken at random (simple random sampling). Data collection techniques using essay questions, this test is done twice, namely before (pre-test) and followed (post-test) learning process. Data analysis techniques using the t-test, in using this t-test, both the experimental class and the control class data must be normal and have a homogeneous variant that is tested for normality and homogeneity before testing the hypothesis with the t-test. Learning outcomes using problem-based learning are better because this learning involves students solving problems, by means of their creative ideas and ideas, so students do not easily forget the lessons they have learned

Abstract

The Mesat River is one of the rivers that cross the City of Lubuklinggau. Community activities around the river Mesat less maintain the river can disrupt the river ecosystem Mesat itself. The purpose of this study is to explore the microalgae in the Mesat River Lubuklinggau City. This research uses survey method, carried out on three stations with three repetitions in the waters of the Mesat River Kecamatan Lubuklinggau Timur II Lubuklinggau Town and identified in the Biology Laboratory STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results of the study found microalgae in the Mesat River of Lubuklinggau City consisting of 4 Divisions, 6 Classes, 15 Orders, 19 Famili, 27 Genus and 32 Species. Mesi Abiotik Factor Measurement Results: mean temperature value 250C, average PH value 7.2, average brightness value 18.2 cm and Average Dissolved Oxygen Value 4.64 mg/L. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the type of microalgae found in the Mesat River consists of: Ankistrodesmus sp, Micrasterias radiata, Coelastrum sp, Zygnema sp, Chroococus sp, Xanthidium sp, Dictyosphaerium sp, Chlamydomonas sp, Carteria sp, Lyngbya sp, Rhizoclonium hieroglyphicum, Cylotella sp, Surirella elegans, Spyrogira sp, Eunothia sp, Gonatozygon sp Chlorella sp, Oscillatoria limosa, Oscillatoria sp, Tabellaria sp, Pediastrum singulex, Pediastrum duplex, Closterium sp, Cosmarium sp, Mougeotia sp, Phacus triqueter, Phacus lomgicauda, Euglena viridis, Euglena mutabilis, Scenedesmus sp, Scenedesmus acuminatus, and Scenedesmus opaliensis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan obat, bagian-bagian yang dimanfaatkan dan cara pengolahan tumbuhan obat di Kecamatan Saling  Kabupaten  Empat Lawang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Tujuh Desa yang berada di Kecamatan Saling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara,  dan dokumentasi tumbuhan. Teknik analisis data mengunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif yaitu data hasil wawancara dikelompokkan berdasarkan spesies tumbuhan obat, bagian-bagian yang di manfaatkan serta cara pengolahannya yang diketahui oleh masyarakat di kecamatan Saling. Hasil penelitian yang  ditemukan 78 jenis tumbuhan obat yang terdiri dari 46 famili. Bagian yang paling banyak digunakan adalah bagian daun dari tumbuhan yang dijadikan sebagai obat dan bagian yang paling sedikit digunakan adalah lendir, biji, dan umbi. Cara pengolahan tumbuhan obat yang digunakan oleh masyarakat di Kecamatan Saling masih sangat  sederhana, yang paling banyak mengelolah tumbuhan untuk obat dengan cara di rebus dan yang paling sedikit dengan cara diiris, dilalap, dilayukan, ditetes, dan di panaskan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis activity was motivated by income problem in community of Taba Remanik Village which is based on the agricultural sector where prices fluctuate. So that the family economy becomes weak. The partner regions are regions that have another commodity than rubber, namely: kabau. The kabau utilization in the partner regions has not been optimized. Therefore, partners especially PKK mothers, need to be equipped with the knowledge to utilize kabau so that it has high economic value. One of the method that can be used is to process the kabau into processed crackers. This service activity consists of 4 steps, namely: observation, delivery of material, practice of making crackers and monitoring evaluation. The material presented at the service activities are: Introduction of kabau, the nutritional content of kabau, the benefits of kabau and the practice of making kabau crackers. The community service activities in Taba Remanik Village went well and the community was very enthusiastic. The result of community service activities is that the community is able to practice how to make kabau crackers properly. Keywords: Taba Remanik, Kabau, Crackers ABSTRAKKegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah penghasilan pada masyarakat Desa Taba Remanik yang bertumpu pada sektor pertanian dimana harga fluktuatif. Sehingga perekonomian keluarga menjadi lemah. Daerah mitra merupakan daerah yang memiliki komoditas sampingan selain karet, yaitu: kabau. Pemanfaatan buah kabau di daerah mitra belum optimal. Oleh karena itu, mitra terutama ibu-ibu PKK perlu dibekali pengetahuan untuk memanfaatkan buah kabau agar bernilai ekonomis tinggi.  Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan yaitu mengolah buah kabau menjadi olahan kerupuk. Kegiatan pengabdian ini terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu: observasi, penyampaian materi, praktek pembuatan kerupuk dan monitoring evaluasi. Materi yang disampaikan pada kegiatan pengabdian tersebut yaitu: Pengenalan buah kabau, kandungan gizi buah kabau, manfaat buah kabau dan praktek pembuatan kerupuk buah kabau. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan di Desa Taba Remanik berjalan dengan baik dan masyarakat sangat antusias. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat mampu mempraktekkan cara membuat kerupuk buah kabau dengan baik. Kata Kunci: Taba Remanik, Kabau, Kerupuk

Abstract

Dysentery is an acute diarrheal disease with chronic symptoms, including diarrhea, fever, nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting. Stool is liquid and mixed with blood that passes through the large intestine very quickly because bacteria have penetrated the large intestine caused by the bacterium Shigella dysentriae. Sungkai plant (Paronema canescens Jack) is one of the plants used as traditional medicine and contains antibacterial compounds consisting of phenolic compounds and their derivatives. This study aims to determine the effect of antibacterial activity of the extract of Sungkai Leaf Starch (Paronema canescens Jack) on the Inhibitory Zone of Shigella dysentriae. The research method is a laboratory experimental method, this type of research is a quantitative research, and the design used in the study is a Post Test Only Control Design. The results showed that sungkai leaf extract (Peronema canescens Jack) with concentrations of 65 grams, 75 grams, 85 grams, and 95 grams had different inhibitory effects on Shigella dysentriae. The conclusion from the non-parametric statistical test results using the Kruskal Wallis test, it was found that sig. < that is 0.001 < 0.05 which indicates that the resulting data has a significant difference.
