Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of Ijen Geopark in Bondowoso, East Java as a learning space that supports deep learning within the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Despite its strong potential, the educational use of geoparks is often limited, fragmented, and still dominated by tourism and conservation perspectives, with few studies explaining how geoparks function pedagogically to facilitate deep learning in school contexts. The geopark, consisting of geosites, biosites, and cultural sites, is therefore explored as a living laboratory that integrates science, ecology, and culture. This research employed a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through field and classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers, students, and geopark managers, as well as document analysis, and were analyzed thematically through coding and categorization processes. The findings show that geopark-based learning strengthens students’ critical thinking, ecological awareness, collaboration, and meaningful conceptual understanding. In addition, learning activities encourage interdisciplinary connections and authentic learning experiences relevant to the Merdeka Curriculum. However, several challenges were identified, including unequal teacher readiness, limited facilities at some learning sites, and logistical constraints. In conclusion, Ijen Geopark has strong potential to function as a sustainable living laboratory that supports deep learning and interdisciplinary education. This study contributes to the development of a practical model of geopark-based deep learning and emphasizes the need for stronger institutional, pedagogical, and infrastructural support to optimize its implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of the lexicon in the Java language (bJ)which has the meaning of bamboo-based container. The description is basedon the formation of the lexicon, not necessarily formed and spoken withoutconsidering the external aspects of the language (metalanguage) that hasexisted in the community of speakers. The meta-language that became thestarting point and the basis of categorization makes this research not onlyinvolves linguistic analysis but a combination of linguistics andanthropology. It is commonly called ethnolinguistic. The lexiconcategorization of bamboo-based containers in Javanese is adapted to theform, the domain of use and the meta aspects of the language reflected ineach lexicon. It resulted in three domains of use and overall lexicon nouns.

Abstract

This study developed a Google Sites-based Educandy game learning media to improve critical thinking skills in history for grade XI MA Ar-Rohmah Suren. Using the ADDIE Research and Development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the study involved 28 students on the topic of Events Surrounding the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence. Instruments included observation sheets, expert validation, student questionnaires, and Pretest-posttest critical thinking tests. Data analysis used Shapiro-Wilk normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain calculation. Results showed the media was highly feasible based on media expert (89.5%) and material expert (91.2%) validation. The paired t-test revealed a significant difference between Pretest and posttest scores (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The average N-Gain value was 0.62 (moderate category), proving the media's effectiveness in enhancing critical thinking. Student responses were positive with an average of 3.44 (Agree category). This study concludes that the Google Sites-based Educandy game media is effective and feasible for history learning to improve students' critical thinking skills.
